Concerning AetherCraft armor and tools, high enchantability is pretty much the only thing it has on diamond. Diamond costs the same for armor, half for tools*, they have better protection (armor) and no extra cost for their speed (tools, AC tools with speed boost are as fast as diamond), and FAR greater durability.
* Actually, it's a little bit more for pickaxes and axes due to the wooden sticks, far less for shovels. Each AC 'stick' has a diamond and a half in value.

I never used the armor, but doesn't it self-repair if you have an aether battery in your inventory? Think I saw that mentioned somewhere.
So?
I doubt I(or anyone else) will stay out in the wild long enough for my Diamond armor to get destroyed,
Now, I don't know if you can repair an armor in the Aether Reconstructor, but until I can and need to get more enchantments in my armor, there is no rush. And by then, I will be able to get Thaumcraft's armor which is far better right now.
You can repair armor in the reconstructor, I did it with magic crop's infused diamond armor on our last server map. I think the self-repairing is more useful on the Aether tools (if it does do that, never tried it).

To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.
It does not. The Aether tools have a default speed roughly equal to their iron counterparts, but when right-clicked with any sort of Aether capacitor (cell, battery or crystal) they start using some Aether to speed up to diamond. Really, the only plus about Aether tools is their enchantability. Their durability and default speed are lower than diamond, they cost at least twice as much to make and repair, and you need a diamond pickaxe to get 'em in the first place! Just make diamond pickaxes and a Ring of Repair.

Some ID issues are turning the different Aether stuff into Quartz rods, Braces, etc. from Blood Magic. How will I find out what the real conflicts are?
Hi! This is a wonderful mod and upon your request, I would like to share a copy of the mod pack we have made with you. Note, this is for version 1.7.10 with forge 1224 or higher (1231 prefered) and these are only the mods and configs folders. Be sure to have all four folders in the main directory (folder) of your minecraft instance. I'm sure you know, but MultiMC helps wondrously and I HIGHLY recommend Advanced JVM arguments from

Dedicated server, CPU 4.0 GHz with 16GB RAM, solid state hard drive and 95/95 Mbps up and down Fiber Optics. Client system matches server specs, with 1.7.10 Minecraft and 305 mods currently in beta. I state this not as much to boast, but for it to be known that it's possible to run with a LOT of mods, even build your own server without renting. I have some experience, so ask me questions.
www.youtube.com/dawhitetyger <--Please do NOT like any videos, they all suck. This is just to show that I am working on a mod pack and nothing more. Crossed that 300 mark, lulz.
To everybody that wants a cheap and powerful AV storage, and I'm talking REALLY powerful (like 11 digits, 74,384,733,888 EV in a block kind of powerful), I have two words for you: Extra Utilities. Need more words? Super Crafting Frames. Even more? Fine. Chest. Still not enough? Octuple compressed cobblestone. Figure it out. It can be done with a tier 1 extractor, a tier 1 condenser and a bit of wood and cobble.
What? Still not happy? FINE! You know, it isn't as if things like JABBA barrels, Iron Chests or Multi-Page Chests EXIST or anything!
IANNOVA: EV? Do you mean AV?P.S. Hey I gots all of those mods installed, I think I get what you are referring to, so thank you! A good point in the right direction for us, thanks a bunch!
P.P.S. Let's see if the spam-bot will allow me to post the JVM arguments link after all.HERE!

That was an oversight on my part, something I thought I fixed when I changed it from EMC. Yes, I meant AV and fixed it in my post. Anyway, if you thought I was referring to compressing cobble and storing it you would not be wrong.

IANNOVA: Instead of the Super Crafting Frame, one could also use the stamper (or packager I believe is the correct one) from forestry (if installed), and thank goodness for the Infinite cobblestone generator with lava and water one block across from one another, and Extra Utilities's Transfer nodes and world interaction upgrades coupled with speed upgrades and don't forget a stack upgrade as well. Many thanks once more for the idea!

Quite welcome. And my main reason for using Super Crafting Frames is the fact that it's not automated, but very cheap to make. I just have my cobble generator feeding my transmutation setup, and what it can't process it dumped in a Multi-Page Chest. From there I can simply craft it all up using a SCF on the chest, and a few more nearby. Speaking of Multi-Page Chests...
One page contains 9 x 13 = 117 slots.
Five pages together have 117 x 5 = 585 slots.
Those 585 slots can store a maximum of 585 x 64 = 37,440 items or blocks.
One block of octuple compressed cobblestone stores 9 x 9 x 9 x 9 x 9 x 9 x 9 x 9 = 9^8 = 43,046,721 cobblestone and AV.
One Multi-Page Chest can store up to 37,440 x 43,046,721 = 1,611,669,234,240 AV. That is 13 digits. Not too bad for four chests, four diamonds and a bit of cobble, huh?

I would assume you have an error with a config file. Check if all of your files in aec-values are correct.
Thanks, it helps.
How can I change AV values for existing blocks? For example I want to have difference between Sand and Glass.
By adding the AV values.
You do this in-game, right?
Just do it for sand/glass.
Should work.
If I'm rude to you, just tell me. Don't take it too personally. Well, unless you were being stupid. If you were, DO take it personally.
