@estradus - Sorry, the bug IS fixed, but NOT released I still have some other bugs and fixes I need to add, and I'm hoping to bundle all of that into a 1.7.10 release, but that will also depend upon a] Forge releasing a recommended build for 1.7.10 and b] Battlegear2 updating their code to 1.7.10 so I can continue to support dual-wielding. As long as you don't add/remove mods after starting your world, I doubt you will have any issues, but I understand your trepidation. I hope the wait is not too long for you.
Aha! I can understand wanting to combine all the bugfixes into a single release. Thanks for the update on the situation! Though, I dont think the error is caused by adding/removing mods, previously I was having the error shorly after entering a world. Havent had any crashes yet, but also havent found any bombs or bombbags (I just wandered around some islands for a bit, accursed ocean spawn!) I'll do some more playing with it later and let you know.
Are we supposed to spawn with the z-targetting skill orb? Because I remember that happening in dynamic sword skills but I seem to be on my own here.
Are 1.7.10 mods compatable with 1.7.2 and the latest forge? It seems like thats what it sounds like is going on from what ive hear, like a 1.7.x scenario, but I dont know, nor do I know where to start looking for an answer.
About Battlegear2, I don't think you should wait for it on 1.7.10, sadly some hardware difficulties happened which make it unlikely to update the official branch before Mojang hit 1.8.
Well, you could make your own version...but I wouldn't ask that of you, since you have IRL stuff to do anyway
If anything, Battlegear won't break the dualwield API in 1.7. That is a promise.

Ive got a few mods that would be perfect for making a modpack like that, but theyre predominantly for 1.6.4.
Firstly, nohero's more health mod has options for starting at 3 hearts and getting more through heart peices, which most dungeon mods have a config for you to add the heart peices too.
Secondly, and this is the one whos update I awate with bated breath, is cocolotin's better dungeon mod, which creates semirandom dungeons (more accurately, theres a bunch of peices of dungeons, or like, dungeonrooms that it assembles randomly when it generates the dungeon) with massive bosses at the end of them. It is alledgedly highly configurable, with an ability to create your own dungeon rooms and everything using it. I could totally set like, the pendants from this mod to drop from the dungeon boss rooms. I intended to create my own super adventure mod pack and have like, dungeon rooms that you would specific items to get through, like a hookshot room or like, something with the ocarina mod so you have to play a song to get in.
If you really want to abandon the sheer freedom of openworld exploration and adventure that is the minecraft adventure pack experience in favor of something more directed, the Qadom mod might be the way to go. It has very large generated dungeons and villages, and quest maps that tell you where in the world the next peice of magical swag might be, not unlike a quest tracker. Qadom is even up to date with 1.7.2 (though Ive been having trouble with it, if you do go for that try using the forge version they suggest instead of latest? i dunno.)
I do think that a fair number of these features are indeed under construction as part of the Quest mod that Zelda Sword Skills is the precursor for, the quest log for instance, but I think what you're really looking for is a premade adventure map made utilzing ZSS. I do not know yet if any exist, but its been mentioned a few times as the mod is built quite effectively for such a task. I just think that the intention was that the community would have to make it if they wanted it, not CoolAlias.

It sounds like 1.7.2->1.7.10 has very few changes, and many mods can work on both without a problem (like my Dynamic Sword Skills mod, according to some reports). Mostly just the lack of AABBPool and for me, finally getting around to updating my network code now that SimpleNetworkWrapper isn't broken.
I don't even want to think about 1.8... reading through the changelogs makes me think they really hate modders, even though I know why they are making the changes they are. Still, I suspect it's going to be far worse than 1.6.x->1.7.2.

I already have a config option for starting with 3 hearts ready for the next update, but the rest of that I am not going to implement. As ivuul mentioned, you should work with some other people in the community or by yourself to make an Adventure Map that takes advantage of the features I created in ZSS and make your dream come true - I'm far too busy, and honestly don't think turning ZSS into something like that would be a good idea. It's much better for it to be an open-ended fits-with-standard-Minecraft-experience that everyone can plug in and enjoy at any time, rather than a single story-driven quest that people play once and never touch again.

Hey Alias! It's been a while! I wanted to stop by and say hi! Also, I tried my hand at making an x32 resolution sprite for the ordon sword. I used the iron sword sprite from the Faithful Texture Pack as a base to start off with and used a picture of the ordon sword to edit the sprite to a point where it looks kind of like the Ordon Sword. Here's the product:
The Hilt may look a bit fat but that's only because I didn't want to make it look too thin. What do you think?

Sorry about double posting, I just wanted to address this. estradus, you probably didn't know this but the Quest Mod Project was canceled. The guy directing it just gave up as it seems. Just ask Alias if you don't believe me. Also, I checked out the Qadom Mod and it does look interesting and with it's customizability, I think Alias could add support for it to this mod by making scripts for Qadom that add Zelda Buildings and I think it may be possible to set up a Zelda Quest, though that may take collaboration with the creator of Qadom. It's just a suggestion so of course you don't have to do it Alias.

Try placing the arrows you want to shoot in your action bar, and only those arrows. It is not absolutely necessary, but unfortunately since I haven't gotten around to implementing a quiver, the bow just shoots the first arrow type that it finds in your inventory, starting from the left side of the hot bar.

Yes, you are missing enchantments, golden apples, potions, skills, dual-wield with Battlegear2 so you can have a shield, and later on you can get the Master Sword. This is supposed to be a boss fight, so if you don't go in prepared for an epic battle, well... not much else to say

It works fine for me. Can you not even shoot bomb arrows? Are you sure you have the upgraded Hero's Bow and not just a regular Hero's Bow? Can you shoot special arrows in Creative Mode?

I was useing this mod in my minecraft youtube series and I was fighting the ender dragon and it was my first time useing the bow and it decided not to work in the middle of a video XD I had to put the series on hold.
Not to be rude, but come on. The mod is for 1.7.2. and you are using 1.7.10, what did you expect to happen?
It works fine for me. Can you not even shoot bomb arrows? Are you sure you have the upgraded Hero's Bow and not just a regular Hero's Bow? Can you shoot special arrows in Creative Mode?
