WOW um........well I kinda thought you didn't work all that much for bomb flowers because you don't seem to like working with such things XD
What are you going on about, even? Bomb Flowers. Bombs. They "explode" to spread seeds. Makes perfect sense now that I know what's going on in my bomb garden. Now to try and sync them up hehehe...
@EthanGold No, that wasn't a joke - that is how the bomb flowers disperse their seeds.
@Zsashas That's a 'Small Locked Door', not a boss door, and is opened with a small key, as is mentioned in the manual. Which version of ZSS are you using, btw? Whichever version you are using seems to be missing the translation for the block name.
Version 2.2.8b for 1.7.10. And I've noticed the same thing with half of the boss doors. Can't remember if it was the top or bottom half though...
I LOVE this mod, first off. Secondly, I found an interesting situation. So I have MCA installed, and some things, such as the click to instigate sword repair on the ordon sword and to sell the slingshot worked! They reacted accordingly and the trade appeared in the villager's trade menu. Others don't. However, even with it uninstalled, I can't get the naming and transforming villagers to work. Also, nobody wants to help me with my chuu jelly in the MCA free test world I created. I'm guessing they're just not compatible, but do you know anything about why some would work while others don't? It's kinda weird.
EDIT: Version 1.7.10 using Technic launcher with the diamond dimensions modpack. (With a couple things removed, several mods including yours updated, and one or two added in. )
Can you name villagers at least? You have to sneak when right-clicking with the name tag. Once you've named a villager, make sure it is the correct name, and then you need to find the correct item to right- or left-click on them with before they will transform. There are currently only 3 or so names that can result in a transformed villager.
As for the Chu jelly, you need to name a librarian villager 'Doc' and, I believe, left-click on him with the Chu jelly in hand.

I admit I wasn't super excited about the bomb flowers initially, but by the time I decided to add them I had come around to seeing how neat they would be. Besides, I always try to make additions as high quality and well thought-out as I can, because I greatly dislike mods where it is clear that the author put very little effort into making it special.

Ah, I see - the Creative tab uses the ItemBlock version (which seems to know how to translate the name), whereas NEI seems to be going off of the registered name of the block, both of which seem to be missing localizations in the 1.7.10 version... thanks for pointing that out.

I'd like this a whole lot more if it was more than a mod for premade adventure maps. If you could find these items in normal chests, craft them, or even get a way to get certain keys, or be able to even damage the bosses, it'd be a fun mod. The textures are great and the amount of items is staggering, it's just poorly implemented into minecraft.

Clearly you have barely touched the mod. The items CAN be found in chests, in the mod-added dungeons, which spawn in a rather high amount. In my current world I have at least 5 extra small keys that I just carry around with me in case I need them. I've fought and killed three "bosses" (one was really a mob swarm, but damn it was tough). The boss keys are found in the corresponding biomes.
As for crafting, this mod is about finding stuff, not making it. Although there are a few recipes, such as the Fairy Ocarina (to learn the songs until you can actually use them) or the Wooden Hammer.
Really, you should read the mod manual if you haven't already. I'm guessing you haven't.

Wait, are you using the 1.7.10 version, or the 1.8 version?
All versions are perfectly playable with Minecraft-generated random worlds.
The reason I say it is more for map-makers is specifically regarding the dungeons - the ones that the mod generates in the world are not exactly awe-inspiring works of architecture, but they get the job done for people playing a regular Minecraft world, rather than a custom map.
I highly suggest you both read the manual and actually play the mod for a few days before jumping to conclusions about it.
Although I haven't read the manual, I have been playing the mod for a long time, a few weeks maybe.
And you haven't found any of the mod items? You must not be trying very hard to find the secret rooms, then.
On the default config settings, there are literally (and I mean that literally...) close to a dozen or so secret rooms per chunk, some of which will be glaringly obvious. To get in, you can use TNT or, if you are lucky and find some bomb flowers nearby or get a bomb drop from a creeper, a bomb. Inside you will usually find more bombs, plus a random handful of items.
Some secret rooms are 'barred' and can only be entered with a special item. As you find more and more items, you will be able to enter a wider variety of secret rooms, each of which has a better chance of giving you better items.
If you happen to find your way into a Boss Temple, you had best be prepared to fight for your life - they are not meant for the casual player, but they hold some of the best rewards.

Can you really?! Wow... guess I need to pay more attention to what I'm actually reading when I check my subscriptions

Guys, you can even use creepers. The secret stone blocks can only be destroyed by explosions, but they don't care about the source of the explosion. If you had a mod that added grenades or rocket launchers, those could probably blast open secret rooms, too.
Just to let folks know, I am finally back to working on the mod.
The update is nearly ready for 1.8: there are a few more things I want to add and then the some final testing to check for game-breaking bugs, and then I think it should be fit for the wild. I am still quite busy in real life, but I estimate that it will be ready by the end of October, hopefully sooner.
The 1.7.10 version has some of the changes, but not everything yet, and I haven't done much testing at all on it as of right now. You'd think that having tested the 1.8 version everything would be fine, but that's not always the case, unfortunately. Testing can take a long time depending on how many bugs I find and how difficult they are to fix, and some things turn out to be not-so-easy to backport (e.g. Skulltulas).
It is a LOT of extra work maintaining multiple versions of a mod, hence why most modders decide not to support more than one Minecraft version at a time. The 1.7.10 version is coming, too, but I don't know when and can't even give a good guess at this point, so be patient.

can you tell us what are you adding now... please?
could you possibly add the triforce and give abilities with these triforces like courage gives the ability to turn into a wolf and what ever else power gives alot of more abilities like flying and shooting lightning balls or what ever Ganondorf did in oot and wisdom idk but when you get the full triforce you get a wish or I could make this an addon if you let me cause I am learning how to code soon also in the addon I could actually add transformations with the masks

Good luck with that - it's totally random how long it takes them to explode after reaching maturity
