Hi there Alias, I was wondering if you could help me identify a crash problem I've been experiencing with your mod, not sure which one of the other mods I'm using is conflicting with yours. Here's the crash report I've been receiving:
It's not a mod conflict, it's user error: you cannot use the 1.7.2 version of ZSS on Minecraft version 1.7.10.

This mod is simply amazing. I've never seen such unique "quest"-like progression throughout the game in any mod before. I love all the detail this mod contains like secret villager trades and special secret rooms or the sword upgrading progression. Definitely my favourite minecraft mod

Just a heads up, cA! A lot of people use SmartMoving with this mod I imagine. They can just climb the boss rooms and crawl in and out after taking the items. Could you add an invisible block in place of the openings in each castle to stop this on servers?

There is already an option in the config file to place half-slabs or even disable windows entirely in the dungeons, but really, that's the whole point of SmartMoving - getting into places that you otherwise couldn't. Seems perfectly reasonable to me that you can sneak in through the windows... perhaps I'll adjust the mod so that the boss battle starts whenever a player gets inside, rather than just by opening the door.
So im trying to make a Flat map because my laptop cant run a normal map at the moment in its crappy state. But the Problem is that i cant generate the dungeons on a flat map because they wont all generate in one biome. is there a way around this?

Turning your render distance down has always been the go-to performance boost.
Between that, an 8×8 texture pack and Optifine it should increase performance quite a bit. Although if you're in such a bad state you can't even run the normal world gen, you might seriously want to consider a different PC.

Hello, I'm having a bit of trouble with the Mirror Shield in multiplayer. When playing on a server with this mod, it disconnects me from the server with "Internal Server Error" or "Connection Reset" when I try to use it to block. However, this does not occur when using it in a battlegear slot, so using it there is fine for some reason. Any possible way to fix this?

Why is there Item id conflicts within the mod when all the items start from the same base id number?
That happens when you update a mod - the world save still has all the old IDs mapped, and now there are new ones that are apparently trying to map to the same IDs. FML was supposed to take care of that with the whole GameRegistry thing, but it doesn't work perfectly, so you really should never add, remove, or update mods after you've started playing in a world with them.
Usually using Steam/Discord nowadays, mostly actively searching around on curseforge for new mods.
Games on steam are usually Spiral Knights, TF2, SFM, and Paladins nowadays
I occasionally hop on minecraft to see what's new.
Asthetically, Any type of Incarnation of the Stalfos will do, but also try adding something New with the Looks, and Perhaps making them do certain Skills from the Mod...?
You Might have to make another Sword, but it doesn't really matter if you make another one or not.
Even adding Igos Du Ikana would be Neat. Perhaps another Randomly Generated Structure would be a Small Castle...? It would look much like Ikana Castle, but Much Much smaller. Along with King Ikana, His Bickering Servants should Fight First, much like Their Console Counterparts. They could have Slightly more Health than the Average Stalfos, however, and they are Vulnerable to the Mirror Shields Light, unlike the Stalfos. (Read Below)
Another thing could be the Mirror Shield to Reflect Light from Special Light Blocks. You could use it on Anything Undead, but You can decide on that.
To me, the Mod feels a Bit Empty without Other Sword-Fighting mobs in the game, which brings me to my Next Mob
Dark Link/Shadow Link:
Doesn't matter how he looks, just make him look Dark and Menacing. Even just a Completely Black Skin with Red Eyes could be Used.
Fights with Sword and Shield, and whichever weapons Link uses, He uses as well (E.g. Kokiri sword and Deku shield, or Giants knife. Even Mirroring his Equipment, such as Boots, Head Gear, etc, etc. Even making him Mirror the Player's Current TOTAL health, unlike his Console Counterpart. He Mirrored the Players Current Health, rather than Total.)
He will use Some Tactics he used in OOT, such as Evading Attacks, Parrying, even Jumping on Links Blade.
If Light is Reflected onto him, he could Teleport like an Enderman with Projectiles.
You could make the Mirror Shield have Projectile-based Light, as I can only see the Shield and Entity Interaction going off like that.
Darknut/Iron knuckle:
Has Armor (Player shouldn't Equip it, however) that can Break Off. When it is Broken, perhaps make it a 3D Mob that has no Interaction with the Player or the Enemy.
It should use the Same weapons that it used in Official games, Such as Rapiers (In case the Sword Breaks), Axes, Shields, Scimitars, Maces, etc, etc.
Any Incarnation counts. Even the Old NES Sprites could be Used.
Along with the Stalfos, And Dark Link, you could use Mini Boss rooms next to the Boss Room, and a "Puzzle" to get the Key, Usually Requiring the Item from the Mini Boss.
Even a Few Easter Eggs could be Brought to the game (Hint Hint Underline)
Well, I guess I better get Going (Heh... Terrible Zelda Games are Never made by Nintendo.... CDI games are Garbage, and we know it...).

It's not a mod conflict, it's user error: you cannot use the 1.7.2 version of ZSS on Minecraft version 1.7.10.
No, you need to upgrade to the latest 1.6.4 version of Battlegear2 (which should be 1.0.5.3, if I'm not mistaken), not downgrade ZSS.

Lol, I would, but I fear if I edit any of my posts they will get destroyed by the new editor - it's got some pretty major issues, even worse than the previous one... so even when I have a 1.7.10 version, I won't be able to post it except perhaps here in the comments section :\
There is already an option in the config file to place half-slabs or even disable windows entirely in the dungeons, but really, that's the whole point of SmartMoving - getting into places that you otherwise couldn't. Seems perfectly reasonable to me that you can sneak in through the windows... perhaps I'll adjust the mod so that the boss battle starts whenever a player gets inside, rather than just by opening the door.
Am I your personal coder or something? I don't recall you paying my salary, so you can just wait until I find time to do it. Thanks.
Sorry, there isn't currently any way around that. I hate to say it, but if you can't run Minecraft on a normal map, you shouldn't be using mods anyway, as most of them (like mine) require even more processing power than the standard game.

Between that, an 8×8 texture pack and Optifine it should increase performance quite a bit. Although if you're in such a bad state you can't even run the normal world gen, you might seriously want to consider a different PC.

First I've heard of that - I'll check it out.
That happens when you update a mod - the world save still has all the old IDs mapped, and now there are new ones that are apparently trying to map to the same IDs. FML was supposed to take care of that with the whole GameRegistry thing, but it doesn't work perfectly, so you really should never add, remove, or update mods after you've started playing in a world with them.

Stalfos:
Asthetically, Any type of Incarnation of the Stalfos will do, but also try adding something New with the Looks, and Perhaps making them do certain Skills from the Mod...?
You Might have to make another Sword, but it doesn't really matter if you make another one or not.
Even adding Igos Du Ikana would be Neat. Perhaps another Randomly Generated Structure would be a Small Castle...? It would look much like Ikana Castle, but Much Much smaller. Along with King Ikana, His Bickering Servants should Fight First, much like Their Console Counterparts. They could have Slightly more Health than the Average Stalfos, however, and they are Vulnerable to the Mirror Shields Light, unlike the Stalfos. (Read Below)
Another thing could be the Mirror Shield to Reflect Light from Special Light Blocks. You could use it on Anything Undead, but You can decide on that.
To me, the Mod feels a Bit Empty without Other Sword-Fighting mobs in the game, which brings me to my Next Mob
Dark Link/Shadow Link:
Doesn't matter how he looks, just make him look Dark and Menacing. Even just a Completely Black Skin with Red Eyes could be Used.
Fights with Sword and Shield, and whichever weapons Link uses, He uses as well (E.g. Kokiri sword and Deku shield, or Giants knife. Even Mirroring his Equipment, such as Boots, Head Gear, etc, etc. Even making him Mirror the Player's Current TOTAL health, unlike his Console Counterpart. He Mirrored the Players Current Health, rather than Total.)
He will use Some Tactics he used in OOT, such as Evading Attacks, Parrying, even Jumping on Links Blade.
If Light is Reflected onto him, he could Teleport like an Enderman with Projectiles.
You could make the Mirror Shield have Projectile-based Light, as I can only see the Shield and Entity Interaction going off like that.
Darknut/Iron knuckle:
Has Armor (Player shouldn't Equip it, however) that can Break Off. When it is Broken, perhaps make it a 3D Mob that has no Interaction with the Player or the Enemy.
It should use the Same weapons that it used in Official games, Such as Rapiers (In case the Sword Breaks), Axes, Shields, Scimitars, Maces, etc, etc.
Any Incarnation counts. Even the Old NES Sprites could be Used.
Along with the Stalfos, And Dark Link, you could use Mini Boss rooms next to the Boss Room, and a "Puzzle" to get the Key, Usually Requiring the Item from the Mini Boss.
Even a Few Easter Eggs could be Brought to the game (Hint Hint Underline)
