I don't know if this is noted or not, or even a regular problem, but I can't shoot any of the special arrows. When I have bombs and arrows in my inv and do the quick craft, it creates one of the hawk (Can't think of the name) masks, and shoots that though. I have level 3 hero bow, and Bomb, Fire, Ice, and Light arrows are not shooting, bomb arrows do the animation and slow me down, but do nothing when I let go, and the other three won't even pull back. I have MB BattleGear2 1.7, this mod 1.7, and shaders. It's really bugging me because the bow was my favourite part of LoZ. Anyway, thanks for the epic mod! Already spent so much time playing!
Edit: Wait! Never mind, I looked through my mods folder again and found some weird thing called "BC mod" No idea what it is. Deleted it and the problem is fixed, although lotsa ID's were changed.
I just started a new world when I added this mod and I made a wooden sword and I tried to place it in a stone and it crashed.

Lol, how the heck did you manage to do that? For some reason your world found a Ceramic Jar tile entity when you clicked on the Pedestal... that should never happen; I can add a safety check to prevent your game from crashing, but there is likely an underlying issue resulting from either the mods you have installed or the way in which you installed them.
Did you really start a new game, or you had a new game and then added ZSS to it? I just put wooden swords into pedestals with a new game with no issues at all, and like I said this shouldn't be possible under normal installation circumstances.
In 1.7.2, you can't just add and remove mods from a world save anymore - any mods that you want to use you should have installed before you start the world, and never remove them from that save. Like the Elder Scrolls games

I have a suggestion for some more inventory slots, so I edited the texture as an example.
Far left: Masks. They usually only cover the face, so it makes sense to wear one with a hat.
Near left: Shields. A button could use it to block, so you could dual wield without needing BG2. (Edit: Would this be able to make it so that you can't use one with Biggoron's Sword? Makes sense.)
Near right: Quiver. It could be a new item that works like this one mod (I think it was called Better Bows/More Bows) where it organizes different arrow types for easy toggling.
Far right: Gauntlets. Mainly for aesthetics (I think that's how you spell it ) but I guess it could activate the barrier-smashing with the Megaton Hammer.
What do you think?
P.S. While I'm ranting, I also thought of Gossip Stones to go with the Mask of Truth. Maybe with creative-mode text editing?

The secret / spoiler is in the Achievements page in-game; just think about what the prerequisite is for the Mirror Shield achievement and how most items in the game are upgraded.
I saw the suggestion for extra slots earlier, but forgot to reply to it:
1. Masks - I feel that being able to equip both a mask and a helmet is overpowered and somewhat unrealistic; if you've ever seen real helmets and real wooden / iron masks, try imagining wearing them together. It might fly with a leather cap, but after that, not likely.
2. Implementing dual-wielding is not as simple as adding an extra slot and assigning a button to it - Battlegear2 is an entire complex mod designed almost entirely for that feature alone. Yes, I could add a shield slot, but to get all the rendering and functionality of dual-wielding is beyond what I am willing to do when there is already a perfectly compatible solution.
3. Quivers are on my list of things to do, someday. I would like them to be both compatible with and independent from Battlegear2 quivers, if possible, but keep in mind that GotoLink spent tons of time developing a quiver system for BG2, and even with the API available it is still quite a complex system, not to mention throwing the special-case Hero's Bow and Arrows into the mix. I don't think quivers are going to happen any time soon.
4. Yes, you spelled that right ;P As a purely aesthetic addition, there is no problem with adding a slot for gauntlets other than adding yet another customized inventory screen to the mix of every other mod that adds custom inventory screens. I'm trying to stay away from that if possible.
Thanks for the suggestion, though - your GUI does indeed look great, and if I ever get around to working on those huge projects (quivers and dual-wielding) or if some angelic person decides to chip in and contribute said code, I would love to use that texture and discard my aversions to adding another inventory GUI.

Ok, something weird happened with this mod and Millénaire. I load a world and suddenly this major lag spike happens. I install Optifine hoping it would fix the problem and it only makes it somewhat better. I decide to walk around and find a crapload of Yellow Chus. I swear there were 100 or so of them. That explained the lag, but what caused them all to spawn? See if you can look into whatever the hell caused this. This has never happened to me before, plus, it wasn't where they normally spawn too. I was in a forest.

An Update on the bug I discovered. The yellow chus seem to be spawning en masse in river biomes, drowning to death. Here's a picture proving it.
This is a major problem because it will cause excessive lag due to not only excessive mobs, but excessive item drops. Please look into this Alias. I'll have to set the spawn rate of chus to 0 for the time being until the bug is fixed. I wonder what's causing this?

Ok, I've been at this for a few hours, and I have NO idea how to get into those secret room things, with the unbreakable blocks. I eventually gave up and just broke them in creative just so I could see what's in them. Could anyone please tell me how to get in them? That bit I saw somewhere in this thread about "only a true Zelda fan knows" is not helpful. I've played most Zelda games, and I'm still clueless. Please, help.

If it's something that Millénaire is doing, there is nothing I can do to fix it. It should be impossible for slimes to spawn directly in water - they use the exact same code as almost every vanilla mob that says "don't spawn here if there is any water".
The best I can do is to provide an option to only allow Chus to spawn at night, when all the other mobs are spawning. This should prevent masses of them since there is a limit to how many mobs can spawn within a certain area, and competing with other mobs would curb their numbers.
I suppose I should have them try to avoid water as well, when they are jumping.
Well, I did try that before. Unless I've got some weird interference from another mod, or I just didn't aim right, lol. Mind you, I was out of bombs at the time, so I tried luring an Octorock to shoot at it. I take it Octorocks' "bombs" don't work on the secret rooms?
The only bomb I ever got on that playthrough I accidentally held onto for too long and blew myself up XD Oh, if only it weren't 1am when I tried it, I may have figured it out a bit better

Octorok bombs cannot destroy any blocks in the world, not even secret stone, though that was a good plan. Let me check, I think I wrote some code in there that can allow them to destroy secret stone without harming other blocks... Or you could try a creeper
I figured out why my bomb didn't work. It seems the SecretRooms mod was interfering somehow. As soon as I took it out, the bombs worked just fine.
I've also had zelda items randomly disappearing while cutting grass.
Could you provide a link to the SecretRooms mod? I'm curious what they could possibly be doing to interfere with the bombs functionality. Must be something really funky.
As for items disappearing, that's also bizarre. Are you absolutely sure you didn't pick them up? Are there ceramic jars nearby that might have picked them up? What items have you seen disappear?

An Update on the bug I discovered. The yellow chus seem to be spawning en masse in river biomes, drowning to death. Here's a picture proving it.

This is a major problem because it will cause excessive lag due to not only excessive mobs, but excessive item drops. Please look into this Alias. I'll have to set the spawn rate of chus to 0 for the time being until the bug is fixed. I wonder what's causing this?
That IS strange, but Chus spawn similar to slimes, so it could be you just found one of those "Chu chunks" Much like when you find a slime chunk, there are always tons of slimes. That's just the way the vanilla algorithm works, though it shouldn't spawn that many... that's probably because they can spawn during the day, when no other monsters can spawn (on the surface at least). Perhaps I'll have to follow Minecraft's lead and add a hackish "slime reduction" code. EDIT: They shouldn't be spawning in water, though they may jump into it.
Just had this on my server too. Was strange, I noticed a couple were getting hurt from getting stuck in a block. They'd die, split, then jump together, growing in size again. Then they would be stuck in the block again and the whole thing starts again. You'll notice in the first screenshot how many died with the command I used!

Edit: Wait! Never mind, I looked through my mods folder again and found some weird thing called "BC mod" No idea what it is. Deleted it and the problem is fixed, although lotsa ID's were changed.
Lol, how the heck did you manage to do that? For some reason your world found a Ceramic Jar tile entity when you clicked on the Pedestal... that should never happen; I can add a safety check to prevent your game from crashing, but there is likely an underlying issue resulting from either the mods you have installed or the way in which you installed them.
Did you really start a new game, or you had a new game and then added ZSS to it? I just put wooden swords into pedestals with a new game with no issues at all, and like I said this shouldn't be possible under normal installation circumstances.
In 1.7.2, you can't just add and remove mods from a world save anymore - any mods that you want to use you should have installed before you start the world, and never remove them from that save. Like the Elder Scrolls games

The secret / spoiler is in the Achievements page in-game; just think about what the prerequisite is for the Mirror Shield achievement and how most items in the game are upgraded.
I saw the suggestion for extra slots earlier, but forgot to reply to it:
1. Masks - I feel that being able to equip both a mask and a helmet is overpowered and somewhat unrealistic; if you've ever seen real helmets and real wooden / iron masks, try imagining wearing them together. It might fly with a leather cap, but after that, not likely.
2. Implementing dual-wielding is not as simple as adding an extra slot and assigning a button to it - Battlegear2 is an entire complex mod designed almost entirely for that feature alone. Yes, I could add a shield slot, but to get all the rendering and functionality of dual-wielding is beyond what I am willing to do when there is already a perfectly compatible solution.
3. Quivers are on my list of things to do, someday. I would like them to be both compatible with and independent from Battlegear2 quivers, if possible, but keep in mind that GotoLink spent tons of time developing a quiver system for BG2, and even with the API available it is still quite a complex system, not to mention throwing the special-case Hero's Bow and Arrows into the mix. I don't think quivers are going to happen any time soon.
4. Yes, you spelled that right ;P As a purely aesthetic addition, there is no problem with adding a slot for gauntlets other than adding yet another customized inventory screen to the mix of every other mod that adds custom inventory screens. I'm trying to stay away from that if possible.
Thanks for the suggestion, though - your GUI does indeed look great, and if I ever get around to working on those huge projects (quivers and dual-wielding) or if some angelic person decides to chip in and contribute said code, I would love to use that texture and discard my aversions to adding another inventory GUI.

This is a major problem because it will cause excessive lag due to not only excessive mobs, but excessive item drops. Please look into this Alias. I'll have to set the spawn rate of chus to 0 for the time being until the bug is fixed. I wonder what's causing this?

That's not strange, that's what is supposed to happen. Bosses drop Mortal Draw.
That IS strange, but Chus spawn similar to slimes, so it could be you just found one of those "Chu chunks" Much like when you find a slime chunk, there are always tons of slimes. That's just the way the vanilla algorithm works, though it shouldn't spawn that many... that's probably because they can spawn during the day, when no other monsters can spawn (on the surface at least). Perhaps I'll have to follow Minecraft's lead and add a hackish "slime reduction" code.
EDIT: They shouldn't be spawning in water, though they may jump into it.
They seem to be spawning in water and they all spawn like mad. This hasn't happened until I installed Millénaire, so therein may lie the problem.

If it's something that Millénaire is doing, there is nothing I can do to fix it. It should be impossible for slimes to spawn directly in water - they use the exact same code as almost every vanilla mob that says "don't spawn here if there is any water".
The best I can do is to provide an option to only allow Chus to spawn at night, when all the other mobs are spawning. This should prevent masses of them since there is a limit to how many mobs can spawn within a certain area, and competing with other mobs would curb their numbers.
I suppose I should have them try to avoid water as well, when they are jumping.

Octorok bombs cannot destroy any blocks in the world, not even secret stone, though that was a good plan. Let me check, I think I wrote some code in there that can allow them to destroy secret stone without harming other blocks... Or you could try a creeper

Could you provide a link to the SecretRooms mod? I'm curious what they could possibly be doing to interfere with the bombs functionality. Must be something really funky.
As for items disappearing, that's also bizarre. Are you absolutely sure you didn't pick them up? Are there ceramic jars nearby that might have picked them up? What items have you seen disappear?

Just had this on my server too. Was strange, I noticed a couple were getting hurt from getting stuck in a block. They'd die, split, then jump together, growing in size again. Then they would be stuck in the block again and the whole thing starts again. You'll notice in the first screenshot how many died with the command I used!
