Minecolonies allows you to create your very own colony in minecraft! Put your citizens to work and ravage Minecraftia for it’s precious resources. Minecolonies is a revival of the orginal MineColony mod with a blessing from the former devs. The new name reflects our goal to make it an SMP experience where you can work with, or against, other player colonies. If you’re not ready to lead your own colony, just join your friends colony and be his right hand man (note that SMP has not been implemented, yet!).
Main Features
Fully functional Colony based around your town hall
Guards that protect your colony (and you) from the nasties
Train your guards up and equip them with armour and weapons to make them stronger
Total freedom of placement of buildings
Build entire resource chains, linked together by the Delivery Man
Use the workers/combination of workers YOU want to use
No limit to the number of workers (except by proximity to the townhall)
A scenic overlook of a picturesque colony.
Announcements
The mod is being completely rewritten for 1.7. Once the 1.7 version is complete, we'll have an SMP version of minecolonies with more optimized code that will allow for future updates to be more easily created! Players will be able to have their own separate colonies on the same server or work together on one colony.

Mod Packs
Generally we are happy for our mod to be featured in mod packs however we ask mod pack owners to respect the following:
Please tell us via our website minecolonies.com that you wish to use our mod in your pack
Give proper credit to our team for the mod
Do NOT use a beta version of the mod (i.e. This Release)
Upon looking on the site, I found that the download link is under the "Mod Info" tab, in the "Installation" section.
Thanks for pointing this out, I have updated the link there to the correct Forum.. But you shouldn't need to go through the installation page to find it - there is the Public Release Links right there on the Welcome Page - Hopefully I have updated the front page to be clearer
So when will the MP be available? I look further on this mod!
Likely not for a fair while, at least in the way we want it to work (Factional colony warfare anyone?? - Expect it to be playable in a LAN game co-operatively (i.e. everyone can interact with the colony, or perhaps everyone can have their own colony) - sooner..
For some reason on the site, for the crafting of the farmer chest it just has a normal chest recipie

The proper crafting recipe is wood planks surrounding a wooden hoe. The website need to be corrected.
Also, I love this mod to death. It's exactly as I remember it, bugs et al. The builder STILL suffocates himself occasionally. Looking forward to future updates!
If possible could you post the dimensions of the buildings at some point? It would be very helpful.
*Forwarded from WIP thread*
Good to hear, I downloaded and ran the game with the mod successfully. Unfortunately I only have access to a Mac laptop right now and not my normal PC and mouse so I can't really play and enjoy it with a touchpad instead of mouse. However, I'm looking forward to playing it on PC.
Hopefully a more in depth tutorial will be available soon and all the worker info will be updated on the website.
I was wondering though, is it coming up where a single player can have multiple colonies (if the town hall chests are far enough apart)?
Also, I'm working on java, I've dabbed into it before and can do stuff like switch statements, if, else, some string stuff and other basics. Hopefully I can become modding able soon.

Someone linked to this thread from the Millénaire thread. This mod looks very interesting and adds a lot of things that make it stand very well on it's own while it can still be combined with other villager-life mods quite nicely.
What is your stance on public mods packs? Specifically: are people allowed to include it if they give proper credit and link back to your website or this forum thread? Or would you rather people ask for permission first and sending more information about the mod packs they intent to include it in? Or is the answer simply: no?
Admittedly I'm a little frustrated with the lack of communication from some devs on this subject as people have been asking this question for months without any kind of reply. Clearing this up would save people who make mod packs a lot of head aches. Our mods (HappyDiggers AMP and RPG) are available through the Feed The Beast client and thus require us to get permission for all the mods used in those packs. This can be done through a global permission on your forum post or website, or through PM/e-mail/etc. Anyway, I think it could save you a lot of PMs with the same question asked over and over again if you posted your stance publicly.
Whatever you decide to allow or not to allow, thanks in advance for making your position clear
HappyDiggers is a small Minecraft community with several different servers: Adventure, Arena PvE, Feed The Beast, Skyblock, Small World, Towny, Prison, Vanilla and Snapshot.

Hello everyone, I think I found a bug, whenever the deliveryman is seeing the inventories content the forge log shows the following message: The world 6bdc7ed0 (Sonaria) may have leaked: seen 150 times.
It's causing a strange behaviour of my inventorie where it does not update and the blocks placed dissapear.

Hey there! I made a mod review/first impressions/how to guide on this sweet mod. I used to play this mod years ago so i'm glad to see it's back! I tried to make it as short as possible and cut out a lot of parts, but I still may need to go back to show off everything. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy it:

You might want to finish the part that says "About the Mod" so people know what it does. Anyways the screenshots look interesting enough.(Fixed)Edit: I loved the old MineColony, and I can't wait to start using this one! Thank you guys for updating this!
Yeah hit the wrong button and it posted the thread before I had finished..
Added a brief mod info, will expand soon
Also added direct link into the OP, but this is ill advised as our website has masses of info you need to know to get the most from this mod
