Elementals is a mod that was created for mod-jam 3! This mod adds new
ferocious bosses to battle and special companions that will faithfully fight by your side!
Boss Info:
Magma Golem Boss:
Type: Fire
Health: X 120
Damage:
Effect: Can deal fire damage to targets.
Drops: 5 emeralds, fire pet spawning crystal.
Leviathan Boss:
Type: Water
Health: X 120
Damage:
Effect: Has a chance to lower targets air level. May cause slowness.
Drops: 5 emeralds, water spawning crystal.
Ancient Golem Boss:
Type: Stone
Health: X 120
Damage:
Effect: Has a chance to apply weakness.
Drops: 5 emeralds, earth spawning crystal.
Pet Info:
Baby Fire Elementals:
Type: Fire
Health: X 10 + Level
Attack: + Level
Effect: Once the pet is level 5 it will deal its level divided by five in fire damage.
Evolution: Not yet implemented.
Baby Land Shark:
Type: Water
Health: X 10 + Level
Attack: + Level
Effect: Once the pet is level 5 it has a chance to slow mobs. Each level past 5 increases the duration of slow.
Evolution: Not yet implemented.
Baby Earth Turtle:
Type: Earth
Health: X 10 + Level
Attack: + Level
Effect: Once the pet is level 5 it has a chance to give mobs weakness. Each level past 5 increases this effect.
Evolution: Not yet implemented.
Levels:
Pets can gain levels by defeating mobs. Pets will auto target mobs you hit or mobs that hit you. Pets can not sit however they can be recalled using the spawning crystal. Pets can also earn experience for mobs that you kill. Leveling up a pet can increase its max health and increase its attack.
Downloads:
This mod requires Minecraft Forge, found here. Make sure you download version 953. If you want to find out more about Minecraft Forge and their forums, click here. The source code for this mod is hosted with GitHub and can be found here.
Installation:
1. Make sure you have the latest version of forge installed. There is now an installer that makes setup easy!
2. Download the relative version of the mod.
3. Drag and drop the downloaded jar file into the .minecraft/mods folder. If one does not exist you can create one.

Q) Does this mod work on servers? A) Yes this mod should work on single player, lan or on multiplayer. Provided that you, the server and everyone connecting to the server has the mod and forge installed.
Q) Will you add more pets? A) There are plans to add more pets in time.
Q) Will you add other items or mobs? A) The main goal of this mod is to add pets. There are plans to add some other things but they won't play a huge role in the mod.
Q) I found a bug, what do I do? A) Reply to this thread in the comments with the crash info. All crashes leave a crashlog. No log no service.

In the future we have plans to add a LOT of stuff (see the main post for more details). Some of the things I myself am most excited for is the addition of the other pets. During the jam we had decided we would like to have six bosses and six pets however due to time restrictions and lack of coder power we were only to get the first three done. I am also really excited for the evolution of the pets to be added and special "shiny" pets we plan to add.

Air, Light, Darkness are the next three planned boss/pet combos. We had originally planned to have all six coded within the modjam period but we ran short on time.
No gui as of now so I assume we will be getting the two bonus modjam points. We are currently considering a new hud and a special gui for naming your pets but this will be in a future update.
