I like the simplicity of the mod. It makes people want to go mining to try and find these before fighting bosses. One question though is how many extra hearts can a player have? Is it a full row or several?

At the moment there's absolutely no limit. However, I'm thinking about implementing a limited system, or one where there are different types of heart crystals.
Can you make it so that if you do /gamerule keepInventory true you can keep the hearts. Add that in a config along with the spawn rarity. BTW: Awesome mod. Can i use this in a modpack?
I thought it had the same data value as the health boost status effect in minecraft. If it is the limit would be 255.

I'll try to add that in the next version along with a customisable (through config) amount of hearts you can gain. It doesn't work in the same way as the health boost effect, so I believe you'd be able to get more than 255 hearts. However, I don't know exactly what the limit would be.
these are just like the heart crystals in terraria! i found two in terraria! any way, great mod! does it work with the morph mod? or the zelda hearts mod? also do they have animations, like in terraria? and also does this mod add anything else? like blood moons?
I believe the 1.7.4 version should also work with 1.7.2, but there's no guarantee. Sadly I don't have time to check right now, if you could check for me that'd be great!
Is there anyway to make the heart boost permanent instead of losing it while dieng. Im trying to make an RPG map and downloaded it and its great but when you die you lose it all and it kinda sux to hafto gain it again. Anyway to change that?
