PrisonCraft is now in public Beta. A ModJam 3 mod.
PrisonCraft is a SMP mod for Minecraft Forge. It allows you to build jails with any (accepted) blocks and then select that area with a Prison Configuration Tool. The Tool will then prompt you to mark where you want to teleport the jailed player to when they are jailed and unjailed. You must then right-click a Prison Manager to create the jail cell and form the unbreakable blocks. Any blocks that can’t be converted are left alone. Next, right-click on the Prison Manager with a jail link tool.
The jail is now ready to be used!
Now, in order to use the /jail and /unjail commands, you must first be given permissions. This can only be given by the server or by a player who already has permissions.
The permissions are stored in the PrisonCraftPerms.txt file in the world save and can be modified externally or by the /prisonperms command with “add” and “remove” commands. Only players who have already have appropriate permissions can use this command.
As of version 0.0.3+, PrisonCraft can log jailing to a CSV file in the world save folder.
(Commands change slightly in 0.0.4, update soon) Commands:
prisoncraftids (pcids) : change what blocks are allowable in the white list of convertible blocks
prisonperms (pp) : change player permissions
jail : jail a player
unjail : unjail a player
pcpermlevel : available to all; shows your current PrisonCraft permission level
New for v0.0.4:
-added actual jail groups
--added a tool to link cells with a jail name
-added a jail view block
shows all players jailed in a jail block
-added the ability to give a reason for jailing a player
-teleport players back if they are more than 30 blocks from where they teleported into the jail
-reorganized/condensed some of the commands

Thank you!
I plan to keep working on this mod for quite a while. Hopefully I will be able to do a Mod Spotlight / Instruction video soon. I have a couple updates to make, but I should be able to do that very soon with some help from my friends on JamCraft. Feel free to tell me any ideas you have!
Its so amazing to see the things people can make with such a limited amount of time and resources. I'm happy to see you had fun making your mod during ModJam.
Cool mod, but I think you should let the players move around their cells, for more "Exercise".
I mean, giving slowness and gluing them to a spot is just boring.
Were you thinking never slowing them, or just temporary?
If you were thinking never, there is actually a config option for this called "AllowNoPlayerMovement". It is by default set to true, so you get the super slowness effect Disabling this should allow a jailed player free movement.
Do be warned though, if a player moves more than 30 blocks (currently hardcoded, sorry) from the original TP location, they will be TP'd back.

This mod is extremely useful for me. Btw your mod spotlight is quite bad. It's longer than it should be since you can show samethings in 5 mins instead of 15.
And I wonder what if we make more than 1 prison ? When we use jail command where will the player go ?

Just out of curiosity, about how many people use your pack?
