There are 2 types of laser boxes: the advanced and basic laser box. The basic laser box simply creates a normal, red laser when a redstone signal is applied. The advanced laser box is almost the same apart from that you can apply upgrades to it, which affect the laser it creates. For example a the 'push upgrade' will mean when you are in the laser you get pushed away from the source.
The reflector is a way of changing the direction of a laser or simply extending the range of the laser. It also combines the properties of the lasers it revives. Each side by default is closed; to open and close them you must click on the appropriate side to toggle with the 'screwdriver' in your hand.
Emits light if one or more lasers comes in contact with it and changes colour to match the lasers making contact with it.
Right click on it with dyes to change the colour it will turn lasers into. Put a laser in one end it will be painted colour on the other end. There are two variations; the miniature one which can also be a forge multipart (look down the page) and the full block one.
Will emit a redstone signal when one or more lasers hit it.
This item allows you to acquire information about any laser receiver, provider block or laser in the world.
Laser Seeking Goggles
See invisible lasers
The Miniature colour converter can become a forge multipart.
I love everything about it. I'd recommend everybody to use the ''Push'' upgrade alongside an Advanced Laser facing upwards, it makes for some ''easy''' elevators.
This and Project: Red will make redstone systems immensely more compact. Yay! I am looking forward to the upcoming upgrades to see what I can do with them. I loves it!
This mod is pretty cool. The lasers could be used for a lot of functions. I will certainly play around with them more. There are a few features I didn't see that would be nice. The first would be a sensitive laser that would block it if an entity walked past it. So pretty much you could make an invisible laser tripwire or what not.
The other is more minor, but the push works great for going up, but the pull does not work well for going down. It would be cool if it would slowly pull you down, but not a big deal I guess.
Anyway, this mod is great and I am sure I will use it in the future.
Only the the dead shall know peace from my happiness. All it is missing is the variable strength of the old laser mod, along with some of the laser types.
I think there should be a solid light upgrade(something really expensive due to its unbreakable nature once up). Or make it so that if you stack enough fire/damage lasers, it becomes solid(Giant laser condenser rooms to create unassailable barriers.)
Also, I did not see it mentioned, but are the lasers blocked by entities so you can make tripwires, or is that going to be an upgrade?
I think that should be the default behavior and have not blocked by entities be the upgrade(since that is more powerful) if it is added.
