did you really read only half of it?

How is that not offensive?
Back on topic, disabling the update checker also turns off the current version information. Personally, I don't really see the point of the current version information thingy, but since it's pretty easy to turn off, I'm not gonna complain.

Turns out this is actually a bug that happens outside my debug environment so I'll get it fixed (only the yellow text is supposed to show).
Next time it would be nicer if you'd be more helpful toward solving the issue instead of implying I'm stupid and should know the problem and how to fix it straight away. Sometimes I don't see these issues in testing and it takes time and input from the community to nail them down so that everyone can be happy in the end.
EDIT: I've sent out the build. It should be downloadable in about 2mins from now.
There should be a "Check for Updates" option in the general section of the configs for this.
I can't seem to recreate this? Can you screenshot what it looks like and give a short description of what you did before hand if possible?
Oh, yes ?
It is strange because in the last version you posted, (the 1.2.19) , this bug is fixed !
Now i can't make any screenshot, because this bug is not present anymore
So thank you for this even if it was unvoluntary

Well that's one less bug to kill. It was sort of involuntary, I just threw code to where I think it was happening and hoped for the best.

EDIT: Don't know if that is bug, but even with disabled physic :
B:"Enable Physics"=false
B:"Enable Physics Landslide"=false
stability types disabled also (set to false)
I think mod still changes how sand falls, gravel all that, it's visually buggy when it falls.
it would not be a problem if command summon falling sand would work... it doesn't
don't know what is that command exacly, but using "Lucky Block" mod it's easly visible that something is not right (4 of the drops are falling sand entities)
it's so buggy that sometimes it works and sometimes fallingsand just disappears instantly after spawning (cause it spawning no problem)
edit: had to edit post like 100 times and on the end delete quotes that how bugged forum is -,-
From my point of view of the issue it didn't occur and I had assumed that you were referring to the similar text displayed when there is in fact an update available, that is why I originally suggested disabling updates. Bug or not it still helps when people give feedback about it and how it could be improved. I still do appreciate you posting about it and I apologize for not realizing it was a bug sooner.
I will look into this other bug for you, thanks again for reporting these.
EDIT: Submitted a bugfix for both 1.6.4 and 1.7.10 which should solve that falling sand issue.
I have use latest 1.2.20 version. GUI is still "frozen" - no data update (multiplayer server). But i have hypotermia. Please, fix it.
-- picture --
Also, i have nice idea, good for full survival post-apocalyptic servers - radiation indicator. It will be very god for closing to some certain blocks, like redstone ore.
I'm working on fixing that bug... again.
Redstone is not 'radioactive' therefore I will not be adding a meter for it. If it were then it would be hazardous to the player's health and quite annoying for people to use.
I had the Enviromine Mod and the Tornado Mod installed and they are compatible.
TimbuckTato hasn't updated the page recently but yes this does work with Tornado Mod now (despite massive amounts of physics updates in places like deserts)

we love to hear back from the community about our mod to help everyone one we can. But almost every reply from you has been offensive. @funwayguy has been pretty nice with the reply back to.
This is a feature that has been used on many other mods. but I get what your trying to say.. We have the "check for updates" in the config. Which disables it entirely, you want a new option to "only show if out of date". Which would have been more clear if you had said it like that. You brought up an issue that got turned around, because an actual bug was found. That wasn't the issue you were trying to explain. As I do most of the config and GUI work I will look into adding this feature. Next time instead of name calling just explain better if we didn't catch what you were trying to say.
and that is why it was a bit stupid to tell me to disable it when other half of my post was saying clearly :

and i don't know about the update but EnviroMine-v1.2.21 still showing the text even when everything is updated.
there is still enviromine is updated "version number" or something like that. it's not needed if everything is updated...

error report
My testing (both inside and outside my debug environment) only shows this text when EnviroMine 1.2.21 is up to date:
This small line of text is intentional and part of the mod. It's not very intrusive and only shows on screen for about 5 seconds on the first map you load, so I'm not sure why this is such a big deal.
I know you don't want to change the physics code but I have been wracking my brains on how I could implement a sort of
"support beam" where it falls if nothing is below it but holds blocks up in the area around it. I've come to the conclusion
there is no way to do this outside of changing the code and I apologize for suggesting something when I know it won't
happen anytime soon. My reasoning for doing this is that I'm hoping this can be at some time implemented and after
reviewing documentation and my previous posts and figuring out more about this mod, I think I definitely looked at this
mod at the wrong angle and sounded like I knew nothing about what I was talking about, (and to an extend that is
actually true) so I came back with some ideas on HOW to implement what I want instead of just saying "Add eet
plz!!1!11!"
So, I now understand that physics is based on a check to see if surrounding blocks exist in order to hold the block up or not. And that the "stability" I talked about before is instead a concept of surveying the surrounding blocks and their typing to see if they have "Holds up Others" to equal true or false. Maybe there could also be two new variables called "Gives Support" and "Range Supported" where "Gives Support" tells how many blocks it counts as for the "Min/Max Missing Blocks to Fall" where 0 equals a block that cannot support others, 1 would be a standard block, 2 would be as though there were two blocks "not missing" and -1 would hold up any block that detects it regardless of it's position.
"Range Supported" however, tells the block how close other blocks must be at their maximum distance to be able to gain "Support" (Have this block count as a "not missing" block) from this block. In this case, a 0 makes blocks that no blocks may get it's "Support Bonus" and thus is quite useless as the same can be done by setting "Gives Support" to 0 and really is only here so that things don't get confusing. A 1 means that only blocks 1 block away that detect this block may count this block as "Support," and a 2 means that only blocks 2 blocks away that detect this block may count this block as "Support." A -1 means that any block that detects this block gains "Support" from it.
Examples for Usage of These Variables Are:
Sand-like blocks would have both "Range Supported" and "Support Bonus" to equal 0 so that building off of them is as fruitful as a Garden on Mercury.
"Support Pillar" type blocks would fall if no blocks are under it like the basic Sand-Like blocks, but have the added bonus of acting both as "Ranged Support" and "Support Bonused" Maybe a 3/2 for a basic log or something.
"Structural Support" Type block that would not fall if no blocks are under it unlike Sand-Like blocks and act as a "Support Bonused" type block with a "Support Bonus" of 2 to allow for players to better support their floors or outcroppings.
As I have previously stated, I know that you wish not to tamper with the Physics Calculations for the time being and I respect that, but I urge you to at least look back on this when you're ready to tweak said piece of this amazing mod for I have hopes this would help your "creative juices" get excrementing all over in helpful ways. (I really sounded like Starfire there) At any rate, from how I look at this I believe it shouldn't be too taxing on systems and I believe how I suggested it would build off of mechanics already in this mod. Please feel free to respond and correct any misassumptions of mine.
And to all who may think of criticizing this mod, please look at this mod for what it has, not for what you want it to have. I may have sounded like I am unhappy with what this mod does not do, and in a way I am, but I am infinitely times more happy for what this mod does have: An incredibly intriguing and balanced system of additions all packaged into one VERY CONFIGURABLE package, and run by very kind and responsive devs all the same.
ok, there might be an answer in the comments already, but is there any way to get you sanity back when you have low health? I have another mod on that you don't regen health with full hunger, so the only thing I can do is just /kill :| (oh, 'm playing the epicraft modpack from FTB)

Sleep should fix it temporarily but for the long term you'd need to fix that health somehow.
Latest 1.6.4 version cause client crash after player death (multiplayer server).
Crash report with no crash log doesn't help... not even slightly. There are several places in the code that handles deaths and without a log to say where there isn't really anything I can do about this.

Well thislooksfun decided to have a shot at trying to rewrite and improve physics (and I wish him the best of luck with that due to the shear complexity acsociated with it) so I'll be sure to pass this information to him and if he doesn't succeed then I'll have a shot at implementing it into the existing system. This however is a VERY big modification to undertake because of all the places physics could break, cause infinite/recursive loops or simply lag the game to unplayability while still maintaining cross mod compatibility through configs therefore if we do decide to add this it won't be for a long time yet.

I understand and I did have a feeling it'd take quite a while. But as long as it can happen and I helped you guys in any way, I'm happy. Thank you for reading my post.
no big deal, but if every mod would do that (and if you play on pack then you probably have like 100 mods) it would be annoying to find the outdated ones, good that only your mod do that
I agree but that is more up to the mod pack developers to manage that and to keep them up to date. Also, EnviroMine will only show up to the first 3 lines of the changelogs no matter how big it is in-order to keep it from filling chat too much, not the whole file like it did before with the bug.

No problem and that you for the detailed suggestion and feedback.
Physics needs to be fixed. You build with bricks, and the roof falls down? Yeah right! Either that, or be gone all together. I mean c'mon bricks has masonry between the bricks, as well as the bricks have a seamless texture. Doesn't that indicate that them should stick together?
If you talking about making a roof out of brick... No about masonry will hold that up. Look at real brick buildings. Bricks are only vertical... If u make a brick/ any roof. U need to set up support beans to keep it stable. There are also stability type configs to change how strong an item is. I am currently writing a wiki to give an idea of what the options are in the custom config files.

That's why there's configs. Just make bricks more stable that other blocks. Plus, even a roof made out of Bricks can collapse if there's not enough support. About removing Physics: again, configs. This really isn't a mod you can just "Drag N' Drop, it's more of a tool for dedicated Minecrafters to customize their game with. I personally am working on a modpack and trust me, there's a lot that this mod doesn't do right away that I want, but it gave me the tools to give myself what I want and that's what I like.

Yes, because a metre thick slab of solid bricks spanning more than 5 square metres without the need of supports is totally 'realistic'.
If you really want your brick ceiling to be self supporting under your idea of 'realistic physics' then by all means edit the configs and change it yourself but don't come complaining to us that it doesn't adhere to your standards and expect us to tweak every little thing so it does.

Just adopt realism and build using corbels and beams to support wider spans. Arches also help, take a look at any large space like a cathedral or railway station, massive arches over wide spans.
