I would like to warn that in the next update or two that the old update file will be moved to a new location making the older versions no longer display update notifications. I will let you know when the change occurs.

I'm working on performance fixes and other things that should help with this. In the mean time I suggest setting a physics cap and disabling tracking of non-player entities. If the lag continues due to the physics try disabling landslides (they are a little inefficient at the moment)

You're giving Java too much memory. Excessive amounts of memory slow down memory paging, this has been shown to be crippling to Java (and especially Minecraft) numerous times. Try reducing the allocated memory even further. I know it *seems* backwards, but it will most likely help.
Getting this crash every now and then when block physics is turned on...
1. I'm using multiple mods, so I'm not 100% sure it's this mod causing it
2. I think it's either related to the block physics (as I haven't crashed since I turned it off in the configs) or a mod called zombie awareness
3. Is there any way to keep the block physics for trees and nothing else?

TMechWorks is known to be crashy. I would recommend you remove it and replace with SecretRoom which allow to make gates/bridges commanded by redstone.
Our modpack http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/tdks-world-war-minecraft uses EnviroMine, hats and a whole lot of others mods. We've no such display issues with hats. Several blocks have physics disabled since it wouldn't work right with them (say Galacticraft for example) or eventually crash the server (notably blocks hard-linked to players). You could try disabling physics on that faulty block you've found.

This crash log clearly points out that it is not EnviroMine at fault for your crashing. If a mod is known to be unstable and/or crashy then other developers are not responsible for fixing their problems. This crash could potentially be fixed with configs anyway.
First i want to say that this is a purity cool mod and i like it, Second is that i think it wad be cool if you added a config option so you cud turn cave ins on/off sepratly from block physics and third it wad be cool if you did something with helmets in caves like maybe it takes longer to "suffocate in a wall" or may be you cant go lower than Y: 50 with out a helmet on, well thews are just a cupl of ides i had
