Could support be added to allow custom foods and drinks regenerate thirst? I'm thinking it would make it work better with Pam's Harvestcraft and other mods which add beverages.
Another idea I have is to have an alternative method to create clean water. Rainfall collectors and filters like Thirst Mod has would be great, or even a low-tech water purifier with its own water storage (e.g. coal fired and/or using filters) if you don't want to copy thirstmod stuff.
UPDATE:
Found a way to do do the thing with custom foods/items
In config/enviromine/CustomProperties, append something like this to MyCustom.cfg
"Melon Smoothie" {
I:01.ID=5162
S:01.Name=harvestcraft:melonsmoothieItem
I:02.Damage=0
B:"03.Enable Ambient Temperature"=false
D:"04.Ambient Temperature"=0.0
D:"05.Ambient Air Quality"=0.0
D:"06.Ambient Santity"=0.0
D:"07.Effect Temperature"=-2.0
D:"08.Effect Air Quality"=0.0
D:"09.Effect Sanity"=0.0
D:"10.Effect Hydration"=25.0
D:"11.Effect Temperature Cap"=30.0
}
Trying to use come up with some 'Easy' settings for an RPG modpack i'm testing. Is there a way in the config files to allow the player to recover from heat stroke more quickly? The mod setup i'm using has a fair amount of mobs which set the player on fire, it's fairly easy to get heatstroke due to this, and seems to take minutes to recover from even with full hydration.
Do you have any clothes/armor that cool you off in your modpack?
In the mods that I'm playing with, Biomes O'Plenty muddy armor is nice and cooling.
That plus my flowerband and I am now totally sane!
(Because someone wearing flowers and half-covered in mud is normal?)
Play with the configs, you can get lots of stuff the way you want it!
We really need to make a FAQ... *sigh*
By default there is no in-built configuration for any other mod. If you want, you can make it work with Galacticraft, but you might have to wait for the Big Update for a couple features. And no, it shouldn't conflict.
Okay. I knew of the config, but I was not sure how it would behave.
Nice mod. Can someone tell me if it is difficult? I will still DL this
It really depends on who you are. I think it adds a little challenge but doesn't change my average Minecraft day to much overall, others may think that it's extremely difficult, while others may think it's too easy. I still recommend getting this, if for no other reason than to experience this awesome mod.

So I'm needing to run the 1.7 version for a pack I want to do. With build 89 I get this error. I get it both with the mods and without, so it's definitely Enviromine. Wanted to make sure someone reported it. I have it in a test instance and I'm going to go through my Forge installs to see where the problem starts.

Edit: It borks even with 1180. Hrm.
Ah. You're using the 1.6 version of the mod with 1.7. Needless to say, that doesn't work. Make sure you get the 1.7.10 version (current build is 28)
Good news everyone! I found and killed the gas bug that's been delaying the release of the Big Update for weeks. Turns out I made a bad assumption in my code. A few other small bugs have also turned up and there are a few touch ups required here and there but it shouldn't take long to straighten that all out before release (provided I can fit all this between study work).
I've recently added Extended Crafting mod to a modpack with Enviromine. Would the extended armor add heat to your body temperature or does it not make any difference?

Don't be surprised if one day I take over the front page of the Forum Games, and then disappear for months at a time. It happens.

Huh. I wonder where you heard that. Well, have fun with your modpack!

On the bright side, I can now actually play how I'm used to playing.
Well looking at the downloads there is no 1.7.2 version so that might be why it doesnt work with that version

I can barely wait to mess around with the dimensional stuff.
