I forced myself to use magic laucher for a week, so that when i wrote a post condeming it I wouldn't have a basis. Magic laucher is good, but the GUI is not very user friendly, and it has a very high learning curve. It took me 5 minutes just to figure out where I put my normal JVM arguments, and another 5 to figure out how to set up an eviroment for modding. If you wanted to remove a mod(s) you have to manually select that one at the time. There is also no way to disable mods for a particular load.
MultiMC on the other has support for lightloader built right into it, you just click a button, and it installs, and if you iinstalled forge as well, its chains automatically. It provides me with access to my folders, ways to delete mods I don't want (with windows features, like the revolution click and drag) It also gives me a way to disable them by clicking a checkmark. Understanding it takes less then 3 seconds because it provides you with modding ability just like you would the vanilla game, but now you can have multi profiles. I often drag my FTB saves, and profiles from FTBs launcher right into multimc for convenience!
Sorry was this suppose to be about liteloader, cuz ahem.... and that's why liteloader is the most revolution thing in the world!
Well you can create multiple profiles in magic launcher and you can set which mods you want enabled and disabled, however any new mods added will automatically be enabled for all profiles and it only works with .zip and .jar mod files as far as i know, but not .liteloader files. And i personally see a very minimal if any learning curve. The tabs and menus don't seem to be hidden or out of the way or anything. I just wish it could access all the features the vanilla launcher can.
I'm running a new bukkit 1.7.9-R0.1 release #3075 server with worldedit installed and working.
Is there ANY way to get latest release for CUI, which seems to be 1.7.2_02_lite, working on this inviorment? Using worldedit without CUI is a pain in the ass, so if anyone has any idea, dev build, modded jar pr whatever to get LL and CUI working for 1.7.9 tell me, or if it is in fact impossible, tell me that too :3
No MCP has been released for any version later than 1.7.2 so it's not possible at the moment, sorry.
The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
hello mumphry i am currently having a problem with the worldedit CUI for 1.7.2 i have the latest version of liteloader installed. I have liteloader extracted in my server mods folder and i have worldedit cui in that folder as well. I have also those in my .minecraft mods folder. but when i load my server i cannot use world edit. any advise?
just a question, is there a forge version of this and worldeditwrapper and also do they both do mod blocks like the dalek mod and plenty of biomes etc?
If you read the OP, you'd seen that this is a mod for LiteLoader and not Forge. The answer to your question is no. However, LiteLoader is made to work alongside with Forge, so you can use LiteLoader and Forge together.
I don't see why WECUI would not work on modded blocks. WEWrapper should work, theoretically, if it just uses the ID of the block. But I don't actually know.
We use MCPC+ and the latest worldedit if that matters.
It's a known issue with MCPC+ that the devs don't seem to care about as it's been known for ages and nobody has done anything about it. Basically any mods which require plugin channels to work will not work with MCPC+.
i cant get it to work in 1.6.4...i got it in 1.7.2, but in 1.6.4, its just there in the Mods Folder...but i dont have the commands and i dont have the help menus. the macro mod works though....
WECUI only displays the regions, it doesn't provide any commands or anything. If the commands aren't working then you didn't install WorldEdit itself correctly. Ensure that worldedit is working before troubleshooting WECUI.
