This is a great mod but there is one bug, Every time I put any armor on it crashes and doesn't say a crash report it just brings be straight to the updates screen. I have Treecapter mod, Metalgurry mod, Highlands mod, and Animated Player mod. Please help
You stopped developing mod when it's getting hot and popular?
@cpypcy @vergiltheDarkSlayer I feel really bad now i'm sorry. I will try to keep it updated to newer versions its just we wont be making massive changes or anything, though then again this mod wasn't supposed to do really more than this. I feel bad im sorry, i will try to keep the mod going, i have also been pretty busy with the animated series. So you can still stay excited for that right?

Hi there, I have just spent the day reading all these posts, along with the "Mining Is Dangerous thread!
The mod sounds brilliant - one this I have really been looking for since visiting a mine is a mod which integrates skill into mining (not just a bit of luck!).
So may I suggest that you look into creating larger veins of ores, plus veins of minor ores as a giveaway to the general direction of higher tier ores such as gold? perhaps redstone could be one such "indicator" ores (as quartz is in real gold mines)
I'm unsure how practical my suggestion is, but regardless thanks for reading it! keep up the wicked work with the mod
@nz_chns_p I'm glad you enjoy it. Funwayguy and I created it to be sis nice addon making minecraft a little harder. Unfortunately we will not be adding more features in sorry but what you see is what we planned ino it. Our belief is thy any more will be going to far and we don't want that. But I so hope you continue to enjoy the mod and if you feel like playing with friends I recommend the official server.
Hey man big props to the mod! loving it! this is exactly what I've been looking for! I was wondering though if it was possible for a version 1.6.2 of the mod? If anything I will just tell the guys to upgrade cause this mod is definitely worth it!
I have a few ideas to expand the possibility of being ok in all the bars without needing to be too specific about what to cary with you.
- Leather armor helps you keep i better temperatures at tundra, and Iron armor will have bad effects with tundra as in the desert.
- Deserts will have very cold temperatures at night. Building structures of stone, bricks or other of these kinds of blocks around you will help to keep the temperature stable between the hot of the day and the could of night.
- Sanity resets after sleeping, but it would still have a small % of being the same or even getting worse
- if you're in a hot place, with small quantities of oxygen, and there is water around you, being in contact with it will help you getting oxygenated
- killing mobs helps your sanity not going too down, although killing too much will make it go down anyways
Great mod, I love it, but could you release an API? I had some ideas I wanted to implement for a private modpack of mine. Its kinda a tech thing, and I wanted to add certain aspects in my pack to this. For example, I added nuclear reactors, and I wanted to make being in the room with a working reactor affect things like sanity and temperature. I might even consider picking up the mod, but I am still learning Java. This project with the mod pack is what I'm doing to help me learn Java. Picking up the mod would depend on my understanding it well enough. Anyway, I would just like some API if thats ok with both of you. Thanks, and I hope your next projects are as good as this one.
This mod is great but for the sanity part, I think it might be effective to make it so that your sanity goes down VERY SLOWLY (maybe around .10% per minute) and make it so that the players need to use the bed to sleep to gain some back. Some kind of exhaustion-related thing so that its more realistic for the player to rest. It makes sense and plus, we can get more uses for the bed other than just resetting the night-time.
On the side-note for the desert biome, it is very unattractive in almost every term. Other than trying to find some cactus, it brings heat problems, no trees, and no actual benefits when you enter the desert biome. I think to balance that, you should think about adding an attractive point so there might be reasons to head inside the desert biome, something to go for an adventure for.
Another side project that might be also interesting is adding exhaustion bar somewhere. Walking and sprinting reduces exhaustion, ESPECIALLY when running. Walking might be too much but you can make it VERY SETTLE so at one point the player needs to rest.
Other than that, i think adding mod compatibility with biome mods might be a project you can work on. Biomes O' Plenty or any other type of biome related mods for your temperature change.
This is truly an amazing mod and I am planning to use other mods that make the gameplay more challenging. Thank you for developing this mod! I really needed it!

I agree with every idea except for exhaustion. I think we already have a good enough aspect for that in hunger.
I really like the idea behind this mod, but the physics are too harsh. There's a maximum 1 meter overhang on ALL block types, when placed by hand. This isn't a case of "use scaffolding" but a big problem. You can't HAVE large houses, of any kind, as it would be impossible to support your floors! Or hell, even a small house if the widest room you can have is 2x2 without vaulted ceilings...
Also, mod added structures (in my case, Roguelike Dungeons) eventually collapse in on themselves, which is definitely a no-go.
There does appear to be some config options that would let me tweak this, but for the number of material blocks this effects, I am in no way going to try and "tweak" it away from the defaults.
Even when I was making a stone block with this kind of behavior as a replacement for vanilla stone (and eventually merged the idea into a decay block for Mystcraft) my minimum room width was 6.

You can use some support, like a 1x1 wooden pillar. That could hold about 5x5 of blocks. My biggest simple house is 8x8, and the ceiling doesn't fall off. I use planks, if that makes any differences.

Fantastic mod! This mod is now going to be a staple in my Doctor Who Survival Series! I've already had to drink several bottles and collect flowers! Thank you for making this!

I do not want pillar every 3 blocks.

Thank you for your suggestions and more thanks for not being like some of the whiny people I usually have to deal with. In the light of CaptainSparklez's mod showcase and the frequent requests that have been made, I will try to improve the physics system in the free time I have between projects I'm currently working on. Unfortunately due to the current amount of projects I have I can make no guarantee or prediction when I will be able to perform this improvement.

I agree, the physics are quite harsh.
