My god, are people so impatient that they absolutely NEED to try updating it themselves? that's a sure way to anger a mod author and PREVENT updates from happening.
jesus guys, it's not the end of the world if you can't play mods on 1.12 within the first month.
I don't think that people are opposed with waiting, its just being left in the dark without updates. Everyone understands that AmbientOcclusionis busy and doesn't have time to dedicate as much time to the mod as he would like, but I feel like all people really want right now is just an ETA. Such as the end of this week, the end of next week etc. or even a percentage completed on the main page, just to give an indication that progress is being worked on. That being said, I think we are grateful to even have this mod, but having any form of update or information on progress would help prevent people from checking the page and being disappointed when nothing has changed.

If you dont want to constantly check the page, they can always subscribe the thread and patiently wait to receive an email on your inbox informing them that there is new content on the thread.
If every impatient person did this, I would not have to constantly check the thread every time one of you ask when if 1.12 is coming out!
About the guy that is willing to update the mod himself, good luck! This isnt the normal forge mod ... Taking into account that one of the features is patching vanilla minecraft client...

There are different configurations, for example, under the default settings, you have Xray, Cave Finder and Redstone. So first, decide which one you want this oreQuartz to fall under. Then you add a line like this "tile.oreQuartz": true, Save the file, fire up Minecraft and activate the configuration you put it under. It 'should' work. You can also type in the letter J I think is default and it brings up the config file for Xray. I can't recall if you can add in ores and what not directly, but you can change like the text in the upper left of your screen with it.
This version works only for 1.12. I do not have the update ready yet for previous versions. That should be out in a week or two if things go as planned.
Because I'm in the process of splitting up the XRay, Coordinates, and Fly mods, this is only the XRay mod. The other mods will come later.

I needed this because I'm single playing a custom modpack which turns the nether into literal hell. I want to be able to find cobalt and ardite and nothing else, and these don't show up in the GUI.
I know that is beta, so I set my expectations very low but only "Fullbright" (L) works properly. "Xray" and "Cave finder" doesn't. When I press "X" or "C", I see reloading chunks, but after that I see all blocks again.
When I press "J", I get GUI window, but it's empty.

I also get each of the controls doubled up in the controls config screen, so it's hard to know which is the correct one. Full bright does work, so that's something.

cavefinder doesn't affect anything (except for the flash) and xray looks just like fullbright (i'm assuming because xray also enables fullbright)

Is there a way to manually add to a json file or something the blocks we want to see (1.7.10) cause I can't see cobalt or ardite and the GUI doesn't show them.
Edit: disregard this, as I've been able to find the JSON file.

Please submit all bug reports to me on my post on the Minecraft Forum. Either as a reponse on the thread, or private message. You can expect a response within 24 hours.
I'm sure he's just to busy to reply, but being left in the dark isn't reassuring. I've already waited several months though so I guess I can wait a few more

Still need help. I need to see cobalt and ardite. They don't show when I press the GUI key. Is there someone for me to hardcode it in some config file? (mc version 1.7.10, mod version 47). Should I download another version, is there a way around this. thank you.
Edit: disregard this because: 1) found the JSON file; 2) don't need to do this anymore, as I just added a mod that lets me customize recipes and worked out a recipe for both cobalt and ardite.
Does anyone know if the bug between XRay v48 and WorldEdit for 1.11.2 is fixed already? I only find mentions of v48 being very stable, but I still can't load a new map without removing either of these, so I was just wondering!

Vanila, Forge and Xray-51 only.

How to fix this stupid problem that everyone have (Xray dont work and it just reload blocks)
Btw the old version of this mod is better than 5.1 as it has coords and fly
