It's so weird to me that some people experience this, I never have. Maybe it's server specific.
I've tried it on vanilla single player and modded servers with no fall damage (unless I fall from too high) haven't tried it on a vanilla server.
Ok, tried it, still don't receive fall damage. Do you have other mods installed? Have u tried a fresh install of minecraft and xray? (Deleting .minecraft folder after backing up important files?) can u give me the ip of the server you get fall damage on so I can try that?
Just tryin to help. I only use it for world editing, light, and ironically, making spying on my players to make sure they aren't cheating.
The main thing I use the XRay mod for is to look behind walls to watch redstone work... so I can figure out where I screwed up.
Something that would be useful is if you could display "powered blocks". Not sure if it's even possible but watching blocks appear and disappear when powered would help determine when you've put circuits too close together.
Like the new GUI by the way... first time seeing it.
I dont use a cracked launcher.. i just play on a cracked minecraft server.. its not the server though, as soon as i play on the 1.9 with the xray mod. on any of my servers it had that glitchy problem. it hasnt been a problem without the xray mod, and now installing that xray mod i cant use any of my other xray mods from previous updates.. such as i used to use the xray for 1.8.2, 1.8.4, 1.8.8 1.7.2, etc. But now i cant open up my minecraft launcher on the xray but its just fine on regular 1.8.8. and the 1.9 is screwed up for me now as well as all my others.. ill try to fix it then reply back.

It's technically possible. For example, the repeater has two block ID's: minecraft:unpowered_repeater and minecraft:powered_repeater. The problem is both of these map to just "Redstone Repeater" in Minecraft. So, I'll think about it and see if there's a way I could possibly make it work.
Yeah I have versions all over the place. As soon as I get the 1.9 version out of beta today or tomorrow I'm going to clean them up a bit.

I released v6 - the official release for 1.9
Download is on the original post.
Changelog:
- added back support for all versions of Minecraft
- minor UI bug fixes
- minor changes to how blocks are loaded
Let me know if you find any bugs, or anything that doesn't seem to be working the way it's supposed to so I can fix them up asap.

Survival flight still causing damage when landing at a lower Y value than maximum Y value while flying.
Client: Forge-11.151.1.1764 (new game dir created to test)
Client Mods: Xray-6.jar, no others.
Server: forge-1.8.9-11.15.1.1764 (new server created just to test)
Server Mods: none.
e.g.: If you fly as high as y-100 and happen to land at y-100, you won't receive the damage. If you fly as high as y-100 and try to land at anything lower, you'll receive damage. The lower the y value is from the maximum height during flight, the more damage.
I can provide a recorded video of this if needed.
Edit: For what it's worth, I have tried on 1722 (Server/Client/Fresh Installs) with the same result.
Does this only happen when connected to a server? i.e. does it happen when you fly on a single player world?

OMG Thx for update
Doesn't work for me.
I have all blocks excluded for xray yet this is what I see when I press X to toggle xray.
Which version of Minecraft are you using?

1.9
Do you have any other mods installed?
I tested this by creating a new profile, and selecting "Exclude all blocks by default" which worked as expected. Is it possible Bedrock is still selected?
You have given me the idea to add Select All, Select None, and Reset buttons to the user interface -- so i'll be adding those soon. Seems like they may be useful.
