You should definitely use spoilers........
How are you getting the Project Bench? The itemstack holds the information, and then passes it through to the tile entity. So if you're getting a stack in a bad way, it's not going to work. You can't just spawn them in, you have to use the one from the creative inventory or NEI, breaking the block or pickblock, otherwise it'll probably do just this. I'll try to make it less susceptible to this.
I can confirm the above internal server error. After some mucking about, it's entirely exclusive to my multiplayer server as, crafting many combinations of the benches in single player yielded no crash. I'm running MCPC+ using the latest version of Forge.
Hmm. It's a good thing I waited to finish this post. Upon further testing I was not able to produce the bug in the multiplayer server. Though I did discover the hard way that breaking the bench with an axe is a no no . It appeared to be a rendering bug, if it crops up again I'll pull my console logs.
Edit: Alright, you can break the tables. It appears what ever produced the crash also put the server into a state of 'limbo'. It hadn't crashed, I could place items however, I couldn't toss anything out of my inventory or break anything in the world. Well, off to try crafting with the tables,

Sry for the big logfile .
I crafted it in survival using the modification table and oak wooden plants. I can take it out of the modification table, carry it around in hand and inventory, as soon as i place it, i got kicked cause of internal server error. i can rejoin the server and the project bench is standing where is placed it. As soon as i rightclick on it my minecraft totally crashes back to screen without error message. in addition i am carrying a project bench around in my hand.. the one i placed, but without side graphics, its just the top of the table and some "ghosting" of the rest.
as soon as i dont rightclick on the project bench i can continue playing. If i break the bench, i will get kicked, but i can rejoin and burn the bench in my generator
I've fixed this issue, I've got an update coming out hopefully this week, just been busy.

Glad you were able to make sense of it. Pre-existing tables seem to work wonderfully so aside from barring other players from creating them temporarily, all seems well. On a positive note, the tiny tools that appear on the table when you insert a hammer are positively adorable! I have only one suggestion for your next update, which shouldn't be overly difficult to implement. Certain recipes, such as using a saw from Gregtech on wood planks require the tool to be in the first crafting grid. There are also various recipes that require multiple tools simultaneously. If it is a pain to implement, don't worry about it. If it's already possible to do, call me an idiot and, blame exhaustion.

I've considered this, but the way I make sense of it is, if you need to put the tool in a specific slot just pick it up from the inventory and put it there. But now that you have me thinking about it, it would be really nifty if you could bind the tool to a certain slot for when you activate it. And thanks! I like the aesthetics of the tools up there
I tested this out again! It is superb! I am still awaiting a recipe for nei before changing over to this in my modpack. It doesn't have to be anything fancy for me to switch. just good enough for my members to click on project bench and be able to find out how to make one fairly simple. even just a basic picture that pops up with oak wood, a modifier and a carpet.
If you implement that, then I will be asking your permissions to use this in a modpack in a heart beat. Athough it says asking is not needed, I usually give a courtesy ping and modpack location + Credit.
Maybe even a book that explains how to use/make them would do the trick for now. but by the time the book is done. it may have been as simple to make your gui pop up when clicked in nei with the squares filled in with the right items to use..
Anyways take your time mate, hope you can get us a recipe! Soon as I read that it has one, I will be so excited!
Well, I've been tinkering with the updated tables as well and, everything's stable. I did encounter an interesting bug though. When I attempt commit certain recipes to a plan some of the ingredients are arbitrarily changed.
The lapis dust is being treated as bone meal. It's a pretty amusing bug actually, I think I'll keep those plans around and, see how badly I can confuse my friends.
Edit: Rhut Ro! It turns out I can actually craft the item! I just made a circuit using bone meal

Ah snap, that's what I get for trying to get the plans to accept OreDictionary rules...Alrighty I'll fix that.

Will do. I understand it's not straight forward to craft, but I was concerning myself with other features. Thanks for the feedback.
First, thanks for creating this mod. It is very useful.
Second, I wanted to let you know of a crash I get sometimes. It crashes with an internal server error message. I am running the mod on a local server. It happens when I use the tool modifier and the item is completely used up and then I craft something else. Sometimes the item is crafted when I shift click the result and when I relog after the error the item is on the ground and the materials do not appear to be used. The tool slot still appears to be highlighted even without the tool being there anymore. Deselecting the tool fixes it though. Just thought I would point that out. If needed, crash log at http://pastebin.com/A8RSVs9y.
No prob !
longest crash i have ever seen!

Just to clear up any potential descrepencies that may or may not arise.

Ummm, yeah I guess I'll look into it. It'd be useful. I just like to keep my mod relying on as few api's as possible.
I've fixed these issues and added a bunch more features. Check the main post!
Sweetness. I'm doing another major update today for my server so the timing is good.

Yeah, Optifine Likes to screw with renders and make it do that...Not really sure how to fix it. I'll mess around with a solution.

Haven't tested it, but it should work fine.
On the top of my to-do list
What kind of features would you say this mod has that XACT doesn't?
I really want to know as well as make a verdict on my mod choise
Here is XACT if you don't know it
