On the transport ring, I have a suggestion: the best transport ring, it should not be merely vertical transportation, it may choose to transmit other goals. In this way, it will become more practical.

We have formed a stargate fan team, we have been building the stargate Minecraft map, has now completed the galaxy bridge, Prometheus and har 'tak . Now being built, made into of Atlantis. Expected two years later, we will be in China with a theme of stargate server.

Findings on build 21: Exit from destination gate is now correctly from the front side of the gate. Portable DHD works as advertised, but must be right-clicked on a block within click range to open it, you can't right-click on air or the middle distance (which would make it much easier if you want to watch the gate dialling as you enter the address). Arrival point for transport rings is still off. Pegasus gates now work.
I notice chevrons on the receiving gate do not lock and light on an incoming connection. My recollection is they should. Can anyone else confirm whether they should or not?
Lochie, does the portable DHD have any mechanism yet for storing gate addresses? It doesn't appear to.
Regaining the option to allow bidirectional travel through stargates would be nice. Still, I'm considering pushing build 21 to my live server at this point in place of first-gen build 70.

Odd, I can't get computercraft to pick up this versions methods. I changed the name of the peripheral from stargate_1 to stargateBase_0 but it can't seem to figure out what to do with the old commands. Did the commands for dialing and the like change?

When you say 'old' commands, do you mean commands that worked in 1.7.10-70? If that's the case, then yes, the commands have changed. You can see the new commands by starting the lua console and typing peripheral.getMethods("top") (this is assuming your computer is directly beneath the stargate)
Keep in mind the following:
- Dialing is a more involved process now - you must select and activate each chevron in the address, then engage the stargate.
- Cancelling a dialing sequence that hasn't resulted in a connection isn't a single command - you must individually disengage each chevron that has been selected and activated.
- Hanging up from an established connection is still a single command.
- The current list of commands available is incomplete - it's my understanding that more commands are coming so don't be surprised if some commands you expect are missing or have changed
If you have any other CC/LC2 related questions I'll do my best to answer them for you.

Yes, you're right. So,maybe we need a Asgard transport device.
Asgard beaming with the proper effect would be pretty awesome. They would be extremely OP though, since they are any point to any point, no pre-established pad required (like the ring platforms).

Got ya, thanks. I had a dialing program set up for the old method structure and it didn't work so I went to find the methods in game for the Stargate and it wouldn't pull methods up. Thank you for telling me the peripheral.getMethods command, I had forgotten how to search for that.
I believe Caer said earlier that you exit the gate the correct facing now - I found myself still coming out the back of a gate.
Yes the Portable DHD works but when I exited the gate on the other end, i could not shut it off - the only way was to knock a block out of the ring.
That's all i've found so far apart from the missing sounds and wormhole opening animations etc. which i'm guessing will come later once the dialing has been ironed out
The reason you can't shut down the gate from the other side is you can't do that in the show.

how rare is ore gen because I let a quarry mine a large piece of terrain and didn't find 1 of the 3 ore's
and then a question for other people is there a good video recording program this could make it easier to show bugs or other things
