In the current address scheme 7 characters are used to encode the location of the destination gate, and 2 to encode the dimension ID, so there can only be 7, or 9 character addresses.

Speaking of which ... I just verified this morning that LanteaCraft stargates work across different Multiverse worlds on a Cauldron server.

Yeah.. we had to actually write some compat code for that because the way bukkit handles multiworld is VERY different from Forge, so gating to a MV loaded world would crash the client with a Dimension ID error..

Michiyo, I just noticed that in build 70, NEI still shows transport ring frame and transport ring controller blocks. Is this intentional...? I thought they'd been removed.
theres a glitch thats getting REALLY irritating. So basically when i typed in a code, the stargate rolled to the spot, but didnt light up, and kept making the same sound. Its been happening EVERY FREAKING TIME i try opening a stargate. Can you please fix it?

I haven't had that problem, and I slapped it in a Karma modpack from ATLauncher as well.
srr i was gone for a while from post i planned a long time a go to make a cc contol program for stargates
i didnt get it to work that good so i took a long break from that program and since then i have learned a lot of lua(cc) and i gave it a other try
i have made a program for now with only basic things like :
-dail + address list and disconnect
-adding and deleting addresses
what features would you like for example:
-iris (for in the future)
I dont think he is going to implent this, at least not for that purpose
If you dont like remebering gate addresses just use a computercraft/opencomuter dailer and some have support to "name" a gate if you want one just look a few comments up for hydrantHunter he has a great dhd program (for comutercraft) and a list off other programs
what the problem dont you like the interface or dont you know how to instal the programs on the computer ...??
because a room full of sings isnt that nice
Hello all. After a long hiatus, I've finally been able to put some work back into the rewriting of LanteaCraft.
I can now announce that there are experimental builds of the rewritten LanteaCraft, dubbed "LanteaCraft 2" by some. These builds aren't compatible with the older LanteaCraft and will break older LanteaCraft progress you've made, but are available here if you want to play with them. There are a lot of missing features and disabled stuff, and these builds probably have a lot of bugs in them - so you use them at your own risk.
Here's some of the stuff which is now in LC "2":
Rewrote most of the core framework from zero - this means it's much easier to add, debug and create new features in the game, but is the reason it's taken this long to get a build ready and out in the world.
New rendering engine - a lot of the Stargate rendering is now buffered and stored, which should improve performance for many players. Previously, it was done immediately on every frame, which was slow an inefficient.
New Stargate address system - addresses are assigned to chunks and no longer have lots of "A" in them. You can see all the generated addresses in the "addresses.json" file for your save-game.
New animation system - Stargates now have smooth movement, dynamic chevron lighting and special effects.
Updated interfaces - we're part-way through updating all our antiquated interfaces.
Stargates no longer need to be placed in a whole chunk - there's no more silly multi-block "breaking" or "shearing" across chunk borders.
Stargates can be decorated using the Decorator Tool - you can paint any Stargate block with any other block.
There are lots of things missing (sounds, some animations, a lot of the older stuff) which will come over time. Currently, I'm working purely on Stargates - please don't yell at me about missing features just yet, I haven't forgotten about them.
You can still get copies of the old, classic LanteaCraft here - I'll continue patching major bugs and issues which can be fixed in the older code.
If you find any bugs in any build of LanteaCraft, please let me know on the issue tracker. Please provide as much information as you can, including which version of LanteaCraft (stable or unstable) that you're using.

Nah, the blocks are still there, the rings just don't work.

I think it should definitely be ready for iris support (for when LC 2.0 comes out). You could also add call logging.

I saw someone say it is compatible with mystcraft.. Does that mean you could use the gate to go to randomly generated mystcraft worlds?

Glad to see this mod is still alive!
Don't want to be picky and I know this would take a lot of time, but the gate dials like a clock, from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 etc
