Hi, is it okay if I used a modified version of my mod on my server? The server is just me and two of my friends, and I will not at all benefit monetarily, we are just running pixelmon and a few other mods and don't want the fish and stuff. Thanks Oh, and awesome mod
So I am using the latest build in 1.7.10, I have setup a crucible furnace on top of a tank of lava. I threw in some iron ore and it melts down, I have the crucible set to auto eject items and fluid. On the left hand side I have placed a chest for the items, on the right hand side I have placed an ingot caster. They both recieve items correctly. However my molten iron never becomes ingots... I have waited for an hour RL time and it is still molten. My F3 shows that I am in a plains Biome.
Also I have placed a hopper under the ingot caster in order to automate the process somewhat, however nothing appears in its companion chest and the amount of liquid in the crucible stays as expected for the melting ore (growing not depleting).
^ Zeod, you're out of luck. Casting Iron is currently broken, all the other metals work fine. I accidentally told it to add casting for silver in the code where i meant to put Iron xD.
So these last couple weeks I decided to challenge myself to using mariculture as much as possible in agrarian skies. This was a terrible idea.
First: Water turbines are awful. One of these with three level 2 hyper upgrades can't run a pulverizer at full speed. Plus there is that whole 'massive frame drops' thing.
Second: In the current version of AGS there is no way to produce natural gas. So I can never make neoprene and can't even try gas turbines.
Third: Rutile ore only comes out of laser drills. Since I can't power laser drills I'm stuck unable to breed a lot of the fish (heating and cooling upgrades) and can't fish for anything actually good such as oysters or anything that will give me magic drops to get somewhere on the magic side of Mariculture.
Fourth: The F.L.U.D.D crashes if used over the void, and I can't switch between modes.
Fifth: Fish oil is basically useless. I have a drum full of the stuff from melting various fish and I have little need for more fishing rods. I wish I could make it into fish food or use it for power somehow.
Also limestone is broken, as it is in the same ore dictionary as Bauxite ore and can be hammered into 4-6 more limestone. Using either a Unifier or your own Automatic Dictionary I shall soon have a skyblock made of solid aluminium.
Frankly all that the inclusion of this mod into AG has brought me is a burning hatred for you joshie (mostly kidding). I know most of these issues are Jadedcat's fault, but it's been at least four months! This is one of the most popular packs that uses your mod, why is it still so broken?
On a related note, geysers are great for mob traps and it's nice that I can melt chainmail into steel with the crucible furnace.

I have a question/suggestion. Would you consider converting the Natural Gas (and your gas system) to use Glenn's Gases Framework? It's not quite finished/ready for use in other mods, but if you did it'd help bridge the gap for other mods / addons to utilise gases in a more standardised manner (like what Universal Electricity is trying to do with power).
I don't have a 'gas system'. I literally have a fluid, and a normal block for my gas. I will not be using the gas framework, the way gases work, are just too laggy. My mod's worldgen already causes enough lag as it is.
Laggy? How so? I've never had a problem... but yeah, everyone else seems to treat gases as fluid anyway so fair enough. Not everyone cares for realism I guess.
Oh good point, gas is a fluid technically yeah. And Energized Glowstone is lighter than air so Forge has those mechanics built-in obviously...
...well rather than plugging Glenn's gases my efforts would be better spent on supporting Forge fluids it seems. Not sure if they allow for volatile reaction (i.e. combustion when on contact with a torch/lava) but such things can be suggested to Forge; just a question of when/if they'd be accepted.

EDIT: relog fixed it, but random exchange of inventory items now appear and my top grade salmon turned into a dead salmon.
EDIT2: attempt to move fish out of feeder threw a crash, will revisit when out of homework to finish. Something along the line of ticking memory index 48 size 45 inventory network yadda yadda yadda.

you toss organic materials (rotten flesh, dirt, heads, meats) to get fishing bait.
I cant get iron ingots to harden in the ingot caster after being run through the crucible furnace. i tried putting water around it to help cool and still nothing after a couple of days. is there something im missing or a trick i dont know about? tried googling it and watching multiple videos about mariculture but never saw anything about it. Plz help!

Two: You don't need natural gas, you can use ethanol.
Three: This is zeros fault, he broke getting rutile from sand.
Four: Not heard that one before.
Five: Yep, which is why in 1.7, in in the future, fish oil will be key in more advanced manipulation of fish dna.
Six: This is NOT my doing, zero broke that.
Why is it broken? : Other modders, Jadedcat, 1.6. I've fully moved on to 1.7...
