Should be fixed in build 8.
What version of Veinminer?
What version of Minecraft?
What version of Forge?
What other mods are installed?
Does it still happen when veinminer is the only mod installed?
Another thing I noticed, which Im not sure if it's just me or what, but on it's pure default settings for speed, being the same as the 1.6.4 version, blocks update much slower in the 1.7.2 version.
It's very useful to use for a server and I like it ;D
I made a review and installation tutorial here;
I hope you like it!
Thanks
I add it the same way as a Crook and register it as a Pickaxe? (Talking about the Ex-Nihilo Hammers)
Try in-game typing "/veinminer mode sneak"
PS: I also miss the 1.6.4 options in the config, now it's only related to the Key that one assign, and you can't assign Sneak bc then in game you wont crouch.
Would it be possible to have the old configs back?
# What mode should the client use when joining a game.
# Valid modes: [default: pressed
# 'disabled' = don't enable, even when keybind pressed
# 'pressed' = enables when keybind is pressed
# 'released' = enables when keybind is released
S:client.preferredMode=released
I'll have to try what happens if I still write "no_sneak" and see what happens
I'm loving this mod, especially as a streamer. You can get started on a new world and not spend hours mining individual blocks, you can get going on early game quickly without boring people out of their minds. I have a few newb questions though:
-I'm running 1.7.2_0.14.1.8, SSP (testing out a set of mods for SMP), but can't seem to get it to go into sneak mode by default. I have to type it in each time I log in. I've tried running the saveconfig command afterwards, but still can't get it to stick. Is there something I can add to the config file to get it to load that way?
-Is there some way to find out what block names are under the new convention in 1.7.2? I've tried adding some blocks to the blocklist by putting in something like forestry:tin_ore or even adding the number I get when hovering over it with NEI, but it still doesn't seem to work. Again, after using saveconfig I never seem to get it to work with anything but vanilla blocks.
-I have Thaumcraft, Forestry, Buildcraft, Penumaticcraft and Railcraft which add worldgen. Is there any way to put in a wildcard so that it adds the mod and subsequent blocks to the whitelist? Perhaps in the config file itself?
-I've heard several times of a GUI that was added in the 1.7.2 release and beyond. How do you access that? I've only been able to use command via chat text, and a keybind for active veinminer in the control options.
Anyway, thanks for putting up with my questions!
Here is the config I changed, hopefully someone can help and see what I'm doing wrong.
Added Cobblestone, Gravel and Sand.
And on the picks
The picks works on Cobblestone, Gravel and Sand, but the hammers aren't working.
Any clue if I'm missing something?
Thanks a lot.
Have you tried changing the key to the sneak key (e.g. so both are on shift)
I have tried, but if I do that, then "Sneak" wont work. Is the same problem with IC2 that adds a function to "Left Control" and in 1.7 when you try using it to Run, it wont work.
Looks like 1.7 when having 1 key assigned to 2 different functions it wont work for none of them.
I have added the sneak options back in version 0.15.0
If you have NEI You can go to options and then "Data Dumps" and create "Dumps" of All Items and Blocks, that will create files in your minecraft folder /dumps with all the blocks and items names.
Awesome news
EDIT:
Good news, with version 0.15.0 the hammer config I added for the Ex-Nihilo Hammers now are working.
Bad news (Not so bad) using S:client.preferredMode=nosneak in the config file, doesn't work, it gets reseted to "pressed"
Why not so bad news? Easy fix, using S:client.preferredMode=no_sneak does work
It only does a set amount of blocks, configurable in 1.6.4 not sure in 1.7.2.
Also in 1.7.2 when I do /veinminer blocklist pickaxe add 1 ( I like quick cobble farming tunnels with wood picks) it doesnt work using either the hotkey or sneak mode, same with sand and shovels.
You need to use the names (i.e. minecraft:stone)
