Is there a way to disable Moo Moo Farm biome? Or lower the Hell Cow spawn rate? The spawn rate is beyond ridiculous.
This. Wow! I ran across them, figured I could fight them, and they just kept coming. I also couldn't kill them no matter how many times I attacked them. How DO you kill them?
Your textures are awful and are really detracting from my enjoyment of this mod. I have to use faithful 32x32 to even come CLOSE to having a reasonably pleasing aesthetic. Your refusal to accept any comments or criticisms on this is seriously grating and the fact that you've actually taken it a step FURTHER and now you are making the actual items, themselves, higher resolution is making it even tougher to have any enjoyment.
Aside from that, I like all the new systems. I wish it didn't feel like such a chore to kill things with low leveled magic (that I can only cast 5 times and still have to hit the thing with a sword twice to three times afterward). It would also help to have a little more depth on some of the entries.
Example: I can gather that a red book in the crafting altar means THIS IS PROBABLY BAD, but I wasn't aware it would completely destroy the altar with an explosion when I put in the spell parchment to finish off the spell, completely destroying most of the blocks, the items I had put in there, and my time and effort finding them. I made sure to read over the book to see if there was anything on the related entries (crafting altar, specifically, then spell making and such) and nothing warned me of this. Not even, "BE CAREFUL, THOUGH."
If you've put it somewhere else in the book, I'd suggest making it a bit easier to find because that actually severely annoyed me.
would it be possible to add some pre-configurations to the /amuicfg?
for example you add 5 pre-configurations for the UI and by typing "/amuicfg 1" to "/amuicfg 5" you can load the different types of pre-configurations. I know the /amuicfg is meant to give you the options to do it yourself, but having some pre-configurations would be nice to save up on some time, or to quickly change your UI positions
I followed the order, here is a screenshot to prove it (I threw the item when it asked for it, just 1 at a time)
This time, the crafting altar won't accept automatic wooden pipe (spell: channel+storm). It happens only with some spells, items also differ from spell to spell. I did not find any pattern in it. Just one: same spell gets always stuck at the same item. Because of this, I am unable to create about 80% of spells.

Aww, muffin. Is poor widdle monkey mad that I couldn't care less what you think about my textures? Deal with it. Go make your own textures for it, I don't care.
Welcome to the dangers of magic. Go build another altar, and stop whining like a child that you didn't read before doing, both the book and the warning signs.

Yes! This is already a planned feature for the next major update.

No spell recipe should require pipes and the like. I would check your logs, search for "CONFLICT" - that should tell you exactly what is conflicting.
Square kilometers of terrain scouted, AM2 ores being generated, nothing that looks different from water. I'm using Sphax textures, is it possible that the stuff renders the same way as water?
For anyone who's made a book and actually had a chance to play with the mod, and who isn't stuck without a way to proceed, where did you find your essence pool, and what did it look like with what texture pack?
Throw me a frikkin bone here people, all I want is sharks with magic death rays on their head. MoCreatures has the shark angle, but I can't even read about Ars Magica until I find a pool of mage pee.
Try making a creative world, and using a bucket of liquid essence in the world to see what it looks like with your current texture pack. You'll want to search more flat biomes, they spawn more frequently there (simply because the conditions present themselves better). Deserts are my favourite, as they are nice and easy to spot.

Excellent, thank you! Especially the pointer about the flatness of the biome. And thank you for the labor of love which is Ars Magica 2. You rule.
So I just installed Ars Magica 2 v1.0 for MC 1.6.4 and I'm tending to my wormwood farm in the desert next to my house when suddenly I hear an explosion. I immediately think the combustion engines I installed yesterday in my basement had exploded. I turn to head back to my house when in the distance about 30 blocks away I see a tiny pile of blocks I had never seen there before. I walk to them. There are three blocks of a kind of ghostly blue ore named Moonstone Ore next to a 2x1 hole in the ground. I mine them and collect what look like gems name of Moonstone. Not a clue what all this is about.
I've never used Ars Magica 1 or 2 until today. Was that a meteor that crashed next to my house? Should I take precautions or are meteors a rare occurrence? I can find no info regarding moonstone and ars magica on these interwebs. Can anyone explain?
Now the whole world stands on the brink, staring down into bloody hell. All those liberals and intellectuals and smooth talkers - and all of a sudden, nobody can think of anything to say.

According to what Arcane Compendiun says, this meteors are rare and will fall from the sky during the night time. They are main source of moonstone.

If your worried about it hitting your house you could try putting something like natura clouds over your home, keeps it looking a little more natural without the impending dangers of the impact
Has anyone else had trouble finding Blue Topaz ore in the world?
I'm trying to figure out if I'm just been rather unlucky or if it got skipped in being generated for the world I made. I rather not use the retro gen if I'm just being unlucky, as I've found plenty of the vinteum and chimerite
Even if you are making a totally new world?
