In the short term they will not be replaced, but it might be included in the long term or through add-ons using the API.
Caster blocks were removed because Mithion said that the new power system "messed it up" and it wasn't fuctioning properly. He said this somewhere in the first 1.2 release in 1.6.4

Oh, I wasn't referring to aspects as in Ars Magica aspects, rather its traditional definition.
Nothing happens when you mix aspects.
You know, there are plenty of places you can go to read up on all of this. Even in-game, the Arcane Compendium has all you need to know if you go into the config and turn off unlocking the articles.
That's... actually very disappointing. I was hoping that compounding damage would actually be viable, but it seems it's more likely to be a waste of resources rather than something I can use.
As far as your claims on research... Yeah, i did some. And promptly found out that most, if not all of it is obsolete. All the wikis are wrong, talking about nexi and other outdated structures. And I couldn't look into the compendium until the modpack was uploaded. I'll give it a read as I fill it out now that I'm able to test it, though.
Just... keep in mind that the main reason I ask questions here is that nobody's bothered to update any of the wikis, beit the Wikia or the Official Wiki.
Do you think hitting him with Poison II splash potions is enough to negate his regen? Or does he heal too quickly? I honestly never tried, I usually fight him with twenty or so iron golems, full Bound Armor, Well of Suffering, Reverence of the Condor, several GeoStrata regen crystals, Witchery's containment rite and a mage level of at least 45.

Hi All,
Can someone please tell me how to make the new calefactor work? I have it set up near a nexus, and it has charged foci in it, but it doesn't work. There are three new slots at the top of the calefactor gui. What are they for? The compendium doesn't say anything about them.

By the way, is there a config file that allows me to change the drop rate on seeds? Witchwood saplings are ridiculously rare, and I'm lucky if I get one sapling out of it, essentially making it non-renewable. I'd like to change it from 1/50 to 1/40 to try and at least keep it renewable...
I cannot seem to get a crafting altar to function in the latest version, and having checked several times against the Compendium, I am left scratching my head.

Dark oak likely won't work - there's a bug with multiblock structures and the forge oredict. Try cobblestone or another material listed instead. It should be equally replaceable.
Mithion, have you been in touch with hippo? He's been missing for a month now. I am really pumped for the new Ars to be released! (It is the only mod our server is waiting on. Well that and API.)

In the newest 1.6.4 release, I can't seem to get the black aurem to work. It sucks the monsters into it but then does not damage them or send power to the linked battery. Is this a bug or am I doing something silly? They seem to have a particle effect and are suspended motionless in the aurem.

Edit - Noticed a missing stair. Going to place and verify.
And I'm an idiot that can't count blocks. Stone bricks and redstone worked.

It's 1.7.2 only. AnimAPI doesn't work on 1.7.10.
I have not heard anything from hippo regarding the update - we will just need to be patient.
