if its when your making the book, you just pull the book out. if its the actual spell that you're making in the crafting altar then you need spell parchment at the very end. if that doesn't work then it may be a bug.

Loving AM2. However, when I put it into my little private pack for myself, when I loaded a world there was a very strange bug. The heart bar is transparent(No texture pack), as is the hunger bar and pretty much any bar, such as boss bars. But the really odd part is not just that, it is also that depending on how dark the surface that I am looking at it, the colors may be inverted, such as the hearts being an inverted blue. I try to ignore it, but it is quite annoying. The other mods I have in my instance is Thaumcraft 4, Tinker's Construct, IC2, Morph, Zan's Minimap, Extra Bees, Thaumic Tinkerer, Applied Energestics, Extra Cells(An addon to applied energestics), DartCraft, BuildCraft, NEI, Buildcraft addons and Magic bees. Not entirely sure whether this is a conflict between AM2 and one of these mods, or just a bug. I tried loading up two other worlds, both with the same issue.
When I installed the mod, shift-clicking stopped working; I had to hold down left-click to drag items instead of clicking once, dragging, then clicking again; and my TMI closed my inventory when I tried to click the search bar. I was using Mo Creatures, Damage Indicator, TMI, BibiloCraft, CraftGude, and Ars Magica 2 (of course).
I've been going through your mod, and I having a hard time figuring out how to use the Summoner, the Caster/Caster Rune, the Seer Stone, and the Astral Barrier. Any insight on how to use them would be helpful. The Compendium entries are less helpful than I would like.
Here's a few other problems I ran into: (in the order in which I encountered them)
1- Some of the hotkeys seem to work. The inventory mana display key (Default 'O') doesn't do anything for me. I even removed NEI to see if that was interfering. The Beta Particle Menu key (Default 'B') doesn't seem to do anything, either. Casting Mode and Spellbook Next/Prev Slot work just fine.
2- It might just be a problem with NEI, but the NEI tooltips have mixed up most of the ores with other blocks with different metadata (ie- Chimerite shows up as Sunstone Ore, Blue Topaz Ore shows up as Moonstone Block, Moonstone Ore shows up as Blue Topaz Block, and Sunstone Ore shows up as Vinteum Block.) The five storage blocks show up properly.
3- In the Arcane Compendium under the Talent tab, Mana Regen Boost III is mislabeled as a second Mana Regen Boost I
4- The inscription table uses the "missing texture" texture when breaking. (Not a big deal, but it's something noticeable.) This is also true of the blue chalk nexus.
5- Typo under White Chalk entry: "absorm". Also, under Red Chalk, the second-to-last word should be "its", not "it's".
6- In a spell recipe I made, I was told I needed 3 x tile.stoneSlab.name
7- There doesn't seem to be any distinction between the icons for dark/light/neutral essence when creating a spell. For spells that require more than one type of essence, this requires trial-and-error testing. It's not a big deal, but it is pretty annoying. The list in the book doesn't seem to have any bearing on the actual order of ingredients, so that doesn't help figure it out.
8- When connecting a gateway to a light nexus, particles fly into the keystone receptacle, and then appear in the distance and arch across the sky.
9- Keystones can remember the names of combinations, but will not switch between them. It gives an error if the runes are not in the keystone, but when they are, the arrow keys do nothing.
10- Keystone Receptacle GUI is bugged. The inventory doesn't line up with the squares.
11- am2.spell.disarm has no name
12- The Occulus has only one page. Any extra modifiers or components are only accessible if you search for them.
Otherwise, this is a really fun mod. The bosses are interesting to make and difficult to kill. The spell system is very dynamic and fun. The multiblocks are really cool. Keep up the good work!

Thank you Mithion for this amazing mod! I'm having lots of fun messing with it and Thaumcraft at the same time!
For anyone else to answer, I'm utterly lost when it comes to the Blue gem (Shard?) I've searched two cave systems and a ravine, and not a single one has been seen. Am I missing something? The Arcane Compendium said they were "fairly common".
I've been going through your mod, and I having a hard time figuring out how to use the Summoner, the Caster/Caster Rune, the Seer Stone, and the Astral Barrier. Any insight on how to use them would be helpful. The Compendium entries are less helpful than I would like.

the O key is no longer used, instead you can use /amuicfg to toggle the numeric values on and off in the HUD. The 'B' key doesn't work because you're not a beta tester
They show up in the creative menu fine, I'm thinking that it may be something with NEI.
9- Keystones can remember the names of combinations, but will not switch between them. It gives an error if the runes are not in the keystone, but when they are, the arrow keys do nothing.
Try making sure the keystone center part is full of runes - no blank spaces. That has been a problem in the past.
12- I mistyped. I meant the inscription table. The top grey box only shows the icons it can fit (8x4) and the rest are only accessible through searching.
AND YOU SHOULD TOO!

THANK YOU...i now have DE MOST POWAHFUL MAGIkS
AND YOU SHOULD TOO!
You'll need to use an external program to edit the item out of your inventory. Once you do that, you'll be good to go.
/amuicfg
Did you remember the upside down stairs? I forgot those once and thought it wasn't working.

For anyone else to answer, I'm utterly lost when it comes to the Blue gem (Shard?) I've searched two cave systems and a ravine, and not a single one has been seen. Am I missing something? The Arcane Compendium said they were "fairly common".
I'll see if I can make them more descriptive.
the O key is no longer used, instead you can use /amuicfg to toggle the numeric values on and off in the HUD. The 'B' key doesn't work because you're not a beta tester
They show up in the creative menu fine, I'm thinking that it may be something with NEI.
What language are you playing the mod in?
Try making sure the keystone center part is full of runes - no blank spaces. That has been a problem in the past.
This one I could use a little more clarificaition on, or a screenshot.
2- Mousing over the blocks in creative works just fine. It's the in-world tooltips that are wrong.

6- I'm playing it in English: http://imgur.com/nk8STQq
8- http://imgur.com/bs7xmC0 http://imgur.com/jhVSBJ1
12- I mistyped. I meant the inscription table. The top grey box only shows the icons it can fit (8x4) and the rest are only accessible through searching.
Thanks for the reply!
