So uh, did something change or am I simply doing it wrong because this currently is not working? Pretty much Copy-pasted Azanor's design.
Edit: Nevermind, I'm simply an idiot :D. In case anyone meets the same issue as me, you just have to click on the front of the buffers with a wand until they are red to cut off suction.
The new scepter buff is sweet but now with max vis discount (53 as far as I know) it's 5 off from building the void capped primal wand ;-;.
Anyway does anyone know how to get eldritch eyes? I've heard that you start randomly dropping them after you unlock the eldritch revelation but so far nothing...do I simply need to build up more warp?

Some eldritch altars spawn them. Fighting them seems a great way to build up some kind of temporary warp. At least my sanity meter now has a block of bright pink.

yes, you can create a scepter from a staff core. its going to have more vis than the staff/scepter would have of that type.
but dont forget, that it still counts as a staff for workbenches, so you cant use it for crafting. and it counts as a scepter for foci. so basically, its a vis battery. still useful to power runic shielding and repair. especially if made from a primal staff, since it will regenerate a good amount of vis.

Thaumcraft has three different types which are Wands, Scepters and Staves
Your basic Wand is the one used for both crafting and foci.
Your scepter is more or less only used for crafting since it cant use a foci
Your Staff is your offensive choice since it cant be used for crafting but it does hold a foci
Also, trying to fuse a Primal staff core with Void caps will result in the vis cost being 155 with maximum reduction. So currently with only Thaumcraft installed (no addons) its not possible. Not to talk about using three void caps and a Primal charm to create an even more badass staff will cost you 233 vis.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
We have one person on our thaumcraft only server who has the luxery position that she left her void capped sw staff sceptre in the table during the upgrade. She's charging one eldritch eye per use now hehe

I really want a void aspected Primal Staff to have some kind of cool/unique/horribly unstable ability since it's so hard to obtain.(Impossible at the moment.)

I was in my test world to test the focal manipulation, then after enchanting a fire foci, I try to equip the foci,but it wont open the wand foci GUI. Any explanation?
One question: why is it so many of the New Things aren't in the creative menu? The new mobs are amazing, especially the crabs and bosses, but there aren't spawn eggs, which seems unusual since there are for all the other creatures in the mob-- including the Warp-only Mind Spiders. Also, glyphed stone and whatnot, but that's a slightly more minor gripe.
Also, I've gone through like 7 dungeons and haven't yet found

check your keybindings, there could be a conflict.

Although, I believe having a high level of runic shielding makes most of the mobs less of a threat(save for boss).
