Sorry if I'm being a complete idiot by asking this, and/or annoying, but this is really frustrating...
I'm examining a lot of blocks, the only ones I can (I don't have a lot of available blocks to examine...) and that gives a small amount of research points.
So when I go to research... I run out of points, and out of things to examine.
So, my question is if there's a way to get research points some other way?
I also have another question: CAN YOU TRANSFER VIS IN YOUR WAND INTO RESEARCH POINTS??????

Golem Based Tree Farm? So Direwolf showed us that one of the Animation Cores is a Logger. He does not replant the trees and i think he does not pick up anything. so i am curious if a Tree Farm could be viable to power a small Solid Fuel Fire Box Railcraft Boiler. I am playing on Mithion's ArcanaCraft Server, we have Railcraft, TC4 + TT, AM2 and a few others. no BC so we have no pipes. so i want to fuel a Boiler with Charcoal made from a Steam Oven and fed by Oak from a Golem Tree Farm. I am hoping i can acomplish this. But does anyone else think its Viable? a fast enough Golem With logger, a Golem with Gather and a Golem to replant the trees is what i am looking at. I should be able to do it once i get the research going.
Look at a combination of a Chop golem, a Use golem (with a Hoe of Growth), another Use golem (to plant the tree), and finally a Gather golem (to collect all the drops). You will absolutely have enough wood for anything you need.

Scanning nodes and Wisps will give you more research points. There's currently no way to transfer Vis from a wand into research points.

Not all research is solvable. It appears you did in fact get an unsolvable research note. You'll have to make a new one and attempt to solve it again. The chances for it being unsolvable aren't terribly high, but it's possible so when you get something like this that you can't seem to solve, just make a new note and try again.
Also, you have to make one continuous line from the starting node through all the others. You can't split off in different directions. Not sure if that's what you're trying to do in that second picture, but it seems likely based on the image and information provided.
I would choose another approach on the problem. It's rather difficult to choos a coloursceme though...
I'd say the pureness of the magical forrest is the thing that's important and therefore I would use water as a symbol for the magical forrest. Because it's so pure it's so alive. And wherever you go water is the symbol of life...
I would pick a vibrant bluish green - not the silverish blue of Silverwood and not the bright green of an oak tree. It would be nice to have some silverish particals too - just like the glittering of silverwood leaves, but not as many - to underline the magic of the forest.

I havent found a single magic biome, I've gone a few thousand blocks and I'm pretty sure they dont generate on large biomes. I've tested in normal biome worlds and they spawn there ._.
I say "blue", but also different shade from silverwood trees. (I guess it's just easier for me to see a forest as "magical" if the trees aren't green? I'd suggest yet another colour, but red/orange trees already exist, purple is too close to Taint, and... well, what's left? White/silver, or gold, perhaps?)
white/silver makes sense for SILVERwood... but i also like the idea of different colors depending on local nodes.

- fixed server crash when scanning - added config option to have the old blue magical biome. This is clientside only.
- fixed the problem where the server seems to forget what nodes you scanned and makes scanning new ones impossible
- re-added the travelers boots ability to run up blocks

When you place a carpenter bed, a Brain in a Jar shows up on the ground and that's an easy way for people to cheat in Brain in a Jar, so I was just mentioning it, but otherwise great mod. Would love to learn from you sometime.
Can't craft mirrors as well. I think that was mentioned before.
If that's a problem, then you're using an older version of thaumcraft. Updating will make mirrors craftable, and add victus to a few things. Flowers, eggs and raw meat off the top of my head.

Ahh well. Thanks for helping.
I wish there was a way to turn vis (from wand) into research points (If you had 100 Earth vis in your wand, you could transfer it into 50 research points, for example) or a way to get "Infinite" research points (By throwing objects into a "Machine" and then you get research points from that, destroying the block)

Wait i think i may of fixed it
