The only addon I consider good enough is Thaumic TInkerer (without KAMI of course, I consider it a sin just to mention that abomination). However I don't know if the developers went mad suddenly since I haven't played Minecraft since 1.6.4. Waiting for a couple of 1.7.10 updates that are about to happen.

As much as I liked the mod while Vazkii was in charge of it (Not saying that she should go back) I am questioning its place in my modpack (KAMI aside)

When an aspect reaches 0 it has a chance for it's brightness to lower a level and/or lose that aspect completely.
I didn't know it aspect loss could affect the brightness. With nine nodes in one spot there were a lot of muggers getting mugged, so that's probably why. They'd gain one point of an aspect, have it stolen again and dim when they lost the aspect.

That little node experiment of yours sounds pretty amusing, especially with how you compared it to mugging.

I was seeing if it's a good way to build a node for a transducer in creative. It's a good way to start building one, but with so many nodes in one spot the weaker ones get bullied too much too fast to contribute much, and the middle-sized ones get hit with the aforementioned dimming.

Hey guys, just wondering, is there a way to repair the goggles of revealing and the rest of the thaumcraft armor? or do you just make new ones
I'm pretty sure that enchanted items can still be repaired in the anvil, and non-enchanted ones can be repaired with duplicates in the crafting grid. And of course you can put the(goddamn fantastic) repair enchant on most thaumic gear, including goggles, boots of the traveler, and all the robes.
And now maybe someone can help me out. I can't figure out how to supply Ignis to an infernal furnace with the new essentia tubes. A tube will not connect from any block of the furnace, even when the other end is properly attached to a warded jar. What am I missing here?

Are you kidding? Thaumcraft IS famous cause of adding self-repair enchantments)
Until you discover them, goggles of revealing repaired with gold ingot on the simple anvil. Same with armor - it can be repaired with thaumium ingots. But if you lucky, you can get randomly a repair enchantment on vanilla enchanter for any thaumium item. By the way, thaumium items are highly enchantable - like gold, i believe, or more.
Be worry then, that this enchantment slowly devours vis from your wands to repair items.

After 4.2.0. there is new hole at the bottom of infernal furnace. You could supply essentia, sticking tubes to that hole, and other one - at jar's cap. Or you could supply it with energy from energized node.
I just want to put my two cents in on warp. Before I do, I would like to note that I have just a bit past the epiphany mark, and get three guardians per spawn so I don't know much about higher levels yet.
Most of this post is addressed to Azanor, but first a side note to all the people who complain about the permanent warp for useful and not particularly sinister research: STOP. With the amount you can get off all the normal research, plus a reasonable amount of stuff like advanced golems, you barely get above the strange whispers level, let alone enough to be a real nuisance. I didn't get any real problems until I had already done all of the research, made 4 buckets of liquid death and about 6 flesh golems, one of them advanced; I did this almost purely in the name of getting warp for the eldritch epiphany.
Aside from sun scorn, guardians, and deadly gaze, all of the other effects are fine the way that they are. Sun scorn and deadly gaze are exactly the kind of punishment that you should never, ever have in a video game or mod, which is a time out. Boredom is perhaps the only emotion that is completely harmful to inflict on a player under any circumstance. Sun scorn also comes with massive lag, which makes it a frustration-fest just getting to a dark, quiet corner to wait it out in. Guardians, at least from what I have seen of them should maybe get toned down a little bit, and of course should get a spawn cap.
A few suggestions on new things:
create an upgraded version of the bath salt that, when used, give an indefinite effect called "purity", along with a chat message "you feel at peace". While under the effect of this, one is completely protected from warp effects, but all advantages of having or using forbidden items are negated or reversed. Any flesh golems you placed (they will need to be made to remember this now) become unable to regenerate at above the normal speed, void caps behave like iron ones on any wand you use, the primal staff gets the inefficiency of a level of potency instead of the power, and void tools and gear degenerate down to 1 use in your inventory. doing anything that gains temporary or permanent warp (except maybe guardian attacks) causes the effect to stop with a message of "you can focus again".
A set of equipment that requires a lot of warp to research, made with void metal and something pure, like ethereal blooms, that dramatically reduces the damage guardians can deal and reduces the physical effects of other warp events at the cost of increasing the interface screw effects and other things that make you more vulnerable because of warp, and being only iron grade or lower against nonwarp threats.

yes.... ive tried the normal minecraft resource pack..... ive tried without optifine..... its also doing this on the sigils
