am i the only one having trouble finding Order ore? i have searched like two big caves and 2 ravines... i cant find order anywhere but i have 20+ of every other ore
It's just a matter of luck, although biomes do have some influence as to what type is the most common. For me I lack fire shards. A desert would be a good place for me to search for some, but I haven't seens a single one yet.

Due to my snarky and sarcastic personality I can easily be seen as a jerk. If I've offended you in any way it was likely unintended.
I would like a paper washing block for useless research theories please. They clutter up my inventory. If I could wash out the ink I could reuse the paper.
(I end up with multiple copies started of most research, some unsolvable. Once the research is learned I have no use for any extras, whether solvable or not.)
My Thaumium research is stuck after trying out all primal and compound aspects. I unlocked 2 runes but need 1 more to get the second node active...
(Metallium and Praecantatio activated one rune each, all other aspects are red herrings or not in there after all.)
Just a tips when researching.
Sometimes you have to guess before putting the right aspect into it. Like in this picture, only 1 active rune per aspect, so runes only appear once are the active ones. In this case, only 2, so this research cannot be completed, you have to make another, this will save you quite alot research points.
Edited: What if someone come to my house and break aura nodes? Breakable Node seem inconvenient so far

thats what lava is for
come on, is just paper! its not like it costs diamonds.
There are currently a few ways to get more research points, below, I've listed the ones that I know of
Method 1:
Scan blocks and items with your thaumometer. Note that you can only scan each type of item/block once.
Find more nodes, and scan them with your Thaumometer. This will give you around 4-6 research points of each aspect the node contains.
I'm getting a weird texture glitch w/ Cinnabar that has it rendering only the top side of the block while it's being rendered in an inventory (meaning inside an inventory). The other sides are simply black. Anyone else getting this bug?
same here, with amber blocks and the rest of the ores too
Can anyone give me a hint as to what to research to get the goggles...I still don't have them

Yo dawg, I heard you liked mining diamonds with diamonds so we put diamonds in your mine so you can mine with your diamonds while you mine your diamonds.
While researching, I was working on Goggles of Revealing and...
It appeared that Sensus was the only aspect on it, and it took 7 tries to get a pattern that you could solve with 3 sensus nodes. is this intended? I tried every single other aspect and none worked.

There is a 2nd aspect, and an extremely rare one. I've only found it on a single item and I'm doubting it exists on any others.
The aspect exists in ethereal essence. It can be obtained by killing a wisp or breaking a node. If you just want a direct answer click the next spoiler.
The aspect is Auram. It's created by mixing Praecantatio and Aer.

Ah thanks, that wasn't on the list I was looking at (in my desperation to figure out what I was missing!), guess it IS rare. I ended up making new patterns until I found one that worked without it before.
thank you for this great adventure. I found a strange issue.
Every time i look at a greatwood leaf it disappears and a silverwood leaf appears.
Is that so right?
i use Thaumcraft4.0.1b
That sounds like a long-standing buggy interaction with NEI. If you are using item highlight tips, try turning them off and see if the problem persists.
Running into some research difficulty myself - namely, the golem upgrade: earth. I have yet to get a pattern solvable with three Terra runes, and I have tried literally every other aspect that I have access to. Help?
ETA2: ...well, that's odd. I thought for sure I'd tried that one before among my deluge of red X's/fish. Found it, anyway.
thats odd. did you actually scan the nodes, or did you just look at them with the goggles? you should gain a bunch of research points for every of its aspects upon scanning a new node for the first time.
i also recommend scanning anything and everything you ever craft. if you make a new wand, scan the core, then scan the caps, then scan the finished wand.
when you scan a new material, scan its ore, the blocks and the nuggets. for example, when you scan coal, also scan coal blocks, and coal ore. when you scan an iron ingot, scan the nuggets, the ore, and the iron block.
etc.
also, when i made this whole post about the specialized wands, compared to the silverwood core, stupid me didnt realize silverwood has a maximum capacity of 100. for some reason, i thought it has 150 capacity, so the 75er specialized wands would be more like an intermediate step.
thats what i get for not looking into the thaumonomicon before posting.
I seem to have a bug where all the completed research is no longer researched... this happed after i created a new world in creative to test a few things from portal gun and some of the goloums, and all the research vanished when i returned to my survival world. my research table has all of the aspects that i had before.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I assume i will have to re-research everything i lost.

I think u meant to say 4.0.1b
thats what lava is for

I don't get research points when scanning nodes
same here, with amber blocks and the rest of the ores too
I think its a graphics card problem.
my personal choice is Infernal Furnace, since Lava would burn down my house. lol
Bibliocraft 1.4.1
Thaumcraft 4.0.1b
extrautils - 0.3
