great job Azanor but sadly i have found a bug when the mod is used with Not Enough Items, the Shimmerleaf, Cinderpearl plants and the Silverwood and Greatwood saplings disappear when you hover over them. The Greatwood leaves also turn into silverwood leaves when you hover over them. (all of these issues are with the blocks not the actual items)

Angels are bright, though the brightest fell. Though all things foul would wear the brows of grace; Still grace must look so.
And by the way; Who is John Galt?
I can't research many things, like Wand Foci or Research Expertise. When i place aspect, it's grayed out. I have all needed aspects, and full filled scribing tools. Is that supposed to happen?
Bogeyman (Great Mod Anyway)
Are you certain the aspect you're placing is a suitable one? The greying out effect occurs when you place an aspect which can't form a chain with its neighbour.
In Wand Foci, i place a Praecantatio near Ignis, and Ignis near Praecantatio.
Ignis and Praecantatio do not connect, only Aspects that either contain or make each other can connect. A word of advice, you can connect Ignis and Praecantatio with Potentia, as Potentia is made with Ignis and Ordo, and can make Praecantation when combined with Vacuos.

Ah, you've slightly misunderstood how research works. Aspects will connect to aspects they are made of and those they are used to make. So Praecantatio can connect to Vacuos, Potentia, Vitium or Auram. Ignis can connect to Potentia, Lux, and possibly some others I've forgotten. The trick is to find both a common link between the two and to avoid overusing rare aspects.
Does anyone know offhand what you need to scan to unlock infusion enchanting? I've scanned and researched everything I have except a few random buyable bits like random metal transmutations, but it's still not showing up in my book. Was it removed or something?

Aer is not recharging in my research table, the other primals are. I have 12 crystal clusters nearby, as well as 17 nodes. If I place Air crystals around, it starts to charge.. but that's not ideal.
Any ideas? I saw a post somewhere of someone else claiming the same, perhaps a bug? I'm on the latest.
I'm having some trouble with my wand foci. I've just upgraded to a silverwood wand but I can't get the Frost foci off of my old iron wand without swapping it for my other foci. Is there anyway to remove it without creating some foci I'm willing to trash and swapping?

I beleve bookcases are the best thing for free research. they give single point on every aspect (one at a time chosen randomly)

Shift f should remove the current want foci from your wand.
First, nodes beg to differ from your sentence as Vis comes in all forms. The fact that thaumaturges are able to harness only the 6 primals is another story.
I'm also not quite convinced that the four "state of being" of magics are actually correct. I can see at most 2 (with shards being an odd case, see below).
Good point, I got sloppy there. Yes, vis is in compound aspects also, the inability to store them is a limit of thaumaturgic knowledge (aka game balance and structure). Regarding "shards"... well, I just looked back at the flavor text, and it's ambiguous:
On occasion there is so much primal energy in an aura that it will settle into solid stone to form Infused Ore. The magic forms crystals within the rock that can be harvested.
So yeah, I guess shards aren't a basic form of magic, but just another object, usefully dense in energy. (Which squelches my unspoken objections to taint shards and such.)
However, we also have
Every item, object or creature is bound by varying mystical elements known as aspects. Aspects describe the object’s makeup and bent towards the magical elements.
This is what I was calling the inherent or intrinsic form, which is distilled into essentia from objects, but also spills into aspect orbs (vis) from slain creatures. I think it entirely fair to say that this represents a separate, fundamental form, but I'll admit that the point is arguable -- it's based more on "magical thinking" that goes beyond the game mechanics proper.
I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
One thing I think is interesting that the shards bring up is what state Vis "likes" to be in. While it can be found in an non-physical form in nodes or stored in wands, its activation energy for condensing into a solid (Ethereal essence) is extremely low. If shards are also concentrated Vis, it would seem that Vis is not naturally such an intangible substance.
The other possibility that I may have already brought up is that it instead is acting like a hyper-saturated solution... While normally Vis can float about in air and be perfectly stable, it can be concentrated beyond what should really be possible into a small area. When this occurs even a slight jolt will force it to solidify.
Hey azanor would you ever consider adding a hotkey for disabling the goggles of revealings node ability? the ability itself is good and when explring there are no problems, however after you collect a few dozen or so it does become hard to acually see inside my house (kind of like looking directly at a sun) so i think the ability to temporarily disable the effect whilst at home would be ideal.

Or you can just take them off.

the ender quarry from extra utilities establishes its boundaries via fences.
i know golems arent blocks, but would it be possible to do something similar for them? allow them to recognize, that theyre inside a fenced off area, so they wont "see" any items that fall outside?
TAKE THEM OFF!!! I don't think I can, they seem to be a part of me now
This has been mentioned before. I agree, would be nice to be able to toggle the effect somehow with regards to seeing the aura nodes, but still be able to see everything else like the quantity of aspects in jars, progress on the infusion alter, etc.

If you want golems to stay in(or out) of an area try some Paving Stones of Warding.
I´ve some problems with the research since the last Update:
[Thaumcraft] Research [Wand Focus: Clean] not added as it overlaps with existing research [Wand Focus: Experience]
[Thaumcraft] Research [Void Metal] not added as it overlaps with existing research [Automated Alchemy]
[Thaumcraft] Research [Gaseous Tenebrae] not added as it overlaps with existing research [Gold Transmutation]
So it´s currently not possible for me to craft any Void-Things, because there is no more Void Metal in the Thaumonomicon.
Did I something wrong?

they will still try to get out to pick up items though, and get stuck.
lets say they handle an animal farm, or a tree farm. a sapling falls on the other side of the fence, and they will get stuck trying to get it, instead of ignoring it and picking up the 20 other saplings they can reach.
Redownload Extrabiomesxl if installed... Its removed the api in a silent update...
