I found that github, too, I don't think this is the official continuation. That was the main reason I posted here: you can't find anything tangible on google. I found that, found some reddid which said that it isn't the right one, another reddit that kinglemming is working on it and supposedly it's for 1.14,
Maybe most information is here: https://www.reddit.com/user/KingLemming/ which sounds like: stuff is really hard to port beyond 1.12, maybe after other Thermal stuff is ported TC can be done...
I hope Thaumcraft is ported, it would be a shame for it to die completely.
If you are looking for the most recent news on this, you can probably find it on team CoFH's official Discord which is where KingLemming basically lives.

I don't want to join YET ANOTHER Discord, especially if it's just to check progress on TC. They have a lot of such people already. And anyway, from what it looks like, if a new TC comes out of CoFH, it won't be anytime within the forseeable future anyway.

I guess we just have a different Discord ethic then.
I basically just join everything MC-mod related and mute most servers until I specifically need them and basically only leave servers if they send universal pings too often.
Some perks of Discord:
1. Instant communication with mod developers or active community members.
2. Optionally specific channels for more specific subjects. In case of Thaumcraft a channel to discuss lore in would be possible, however more than 1 channel for Thaumcraft is unlikely on CoFH's Discord.
3. Message pinning is very useful if admins and moderators don't do it too often. This way, important and/or interesting information can more easily be found in the context in which it was first published.
4. Better search options in my opinion.
MC Forums:
1. Each topic thread has an OP which is typically updated by the developer if anything important was changed.
2. It's older than Discord so if the information wasn't purged as "personal information" when the forum changed hands (see my forum title. Your next one unlocks at 404 posts if I recall correctly), some really old mod versions and info can still be found here.

that was an aprill fools joke. https://discord.gg/tUdQuVTh is the link to the arcana discord, which IS the successor to thaumcraft. They are doing their own take on the art style, changing a few models to be more vanilla like, but otherwise its going to be filled with features cherrypicked from all thaumcrafts. Their most recent sneak peak is of a hungry node, so you should go check it out
Hi, Azanor Just felt an urge to came down here and shout at you (after trying TC5) how much you did just destroy your own mod, with completely unnecessary changes that made me throw it into the recycle bin almost inmediately after tinkering with it. Merely in case you were to ever listen the fans I may leave some judgments:
-No need to destroy wands even if wishing to implement gloves.
-The foci system (both crafting and discovery) was better in TC4 and now you just complicated it.
-Crystals could be duplicated just using alchemy instead of that complicated infusion mess. (aer + vitreus + praecantatioand right into the crucible, for example). The idea of growing crystals was pathetic.
-Mana bean system was fair just too slow, replacing all mana beans for crystals, well... it still feels they are mana beans and should be shown as that.
-Recipes and discovery were quite fine in TC4, no need to change the system of any of them.
-ALCHEMICAL BRASS IS SIMPLY RIDICULOUS.
-Golem crafting was just fine in TC4, even if the new golems are far better (and that's a sole good thing) the multiblock to get these new, more complex TC5 golems (without taking the other models away, in fact: presenting these new ones's crafting method as an upgrade) should better look like the Thaumatorium (changing let's say: just one of the alchmy blocks by an anvil) and never that monstrosity you named "golem crafter" with total vibes of being quickly made out of pure junk.
-New golem seals system was a tear jerker. ("oh, it's like... adimensional"¬¬/facepalm /rofl /crying ) Almost thinking about setting something on fire by thinking it has TC5.jar inside because of it.
-You did not inserted even a single new Crimson mob or dimension or lore (which in fact were crucial, like some sort of unconscious hype amongst TC followers). More dimensions for Pech, Eldritch... those things that were just like there but without being at all. You ignored them.
-Taint's endurance has been lost. The taint-spreading cell-like worms are superb. But taint being persistent was a no-sell. Ethereal blooms died.
-Nodes haveth been killed and this only complicates everything. I cannot set nor buy nor fit "aura" in a jar. Too abstract. The mountain 3D map-like thing. Jeez!
In a few words: it's far obvious you wanted to try something new, because of some weird fear of getting outdated (or likely, didn't you?), and you just ended up slaughtering your own master piece. If you are somehow generous or smart with this while intending to ever come back, you may return to TC4 basics and start adding things from that point. Not doing this carnage.
The adventure map I once made could hardly have ever been achieved with something like TC5. You did not act geninunely and it can be felt just by gazing above these new Thaumonomicons all over.
For those who cannot wait for the CoFH team to update Thaumcraft, there's a similar mod that came out recently called Etherology for modern Minecraft. Here's the Curseforge page: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/etherology
This was also posted in r/Thaumcraft when it was released.

I miss this mod.
I made my skin based around this mod. It sucks to see it's gone.
Me too budy. :-(
Is the new arcana mod any good? I heard it's some kind of successor mod to this.
At the very least it looks good. I do not have first-hand experience actually playing the mod, though.
