You need a minimum of 7 things for a golem tree farm. 5 seal types (collect, store, use, provide, and lumberjack), and 2 golem types (deft/smart for use, breaker/smart for lumberjack). I would suggest making extra simple golems for collect/store. Having more golems collect/store will make the farm more efficient, especially if you grow large trees (dark oak, greatwood, jungle).
To get all these things, you'll have to unlock biothaumic minds, brass material, and all the seals I mentioned.
Collect/Store seal should be obvious. Provide seal goes on the chest that has the saplings with a whitelist to provide them. Use seals request provisioning from the whitelist. You also need to place the use seals on top of the empty block where you want them planted (like plant the sapling manually once and put the use seal on top) and select place on empty air. Lumberjack seal just goes in the middle.
Good luck. It's quite an involved process, but it works pretty well once you get it working. I've noticed the golems sometimes forget to do their job. You can either pick them up and replace them (losing their color, which is irritating), or hit them. That usually works, too. Also, having advanced collect seals for more filter slots is nice because then if something else lands in the collect area they won't go and hold it and ignore their tree farm work. I have a 4 slot storage drawer for my store, so it can't accept other items, so if you use a chest or something, maybe that's not so much of an issue.

Edit: Okay, I think actually it is working. It just doesn't work like I expected. The three seals work together, and they do replant, but it takes some time for the golem to figure out what can be replanted. Maybe the provisioning would help too if the seeds were not plentiful...still not 100% clear on that, but my farm (I think) is working.
I'm having trouble with harvest seals. It says it will replant crops, but all mine does is break crops and leave them on the ground.
I tried adding collect/store seals with a nearby chest. The golem grabs an item, but he won't store it in the chest if it's a beetroot, and won't replant it if it's a beetroot seed.
There's an option to replant crops, and it's selected.
There's another option to request provisioning. Do I need to have a golem gather stuff and put it in the chest and then have him use the whitelist? That doesn't quite make sense to me that it should work that way. If I have different farms in the same area, how would he know what to request to replant?
How i should make the tree growth acelerate? I thought on lamp of growth but that looks awfull cause i need to provide Herba and It would need more golems,

im recently back to thaumcraft with the b17 (and after an interaction between TC and IaF causing CTD's being fixed) and im curious if anyone has a decent system for handling overflow essentia, i noticed we now have the flux condenser(and potentially the vis generator i haven't actually researched that) as good essentia sinks, ive been having trouble figuring out where to put said overflow in a way that it automates feeding it into one of these essentia sinks. My first idea is creating 3 or so unlabed jars, that tube into flux condenser, hoping it will just take in essentia (note i have heard about a few crashes related to it so im more just future planning it) but otherwise im at a bit of a loss of what do do for this
On another note, a couple infusion questions that ia havent tried out myself yet do the infusion boosters work together well, or do they just nullify their each others bonuses?
Does Runic Sheilding infusion go past 3? theres no indicator that you could in theory go infinate like in the past, and if it does whats does anyone know the essentia calculation for going higher? since the jumps between the 3 arent something im great at calculating but i would assume its something exponential again

Should harvest seals work for sugar cane? My golem is harvesting pretty much everything else in the area, but not the sugar cane.
They work, but have to specify to search for height 2 (if placed on top of the ground). But dont put it on 3, as the golem will get stuck trying to harvest the top one as it can't reach.

Or you could set it to height 1 and they'll get all 3, as harvesting one breaks the ones above.

Five stabilizers, a modest number of candles, and infusion speed stones let me get through minor infusions with no great difficulty. Moderate infusions are still too dangerous to attempt.

Oof. I've been having that same problem. I only have 4 Stabilizers instead of 5 right now, and I'm not even sure if the candles are doing anything at all as well. I've seen a couple people complain about the Infusion going haywire really quickly as well despite the stabilizers. Hell, the thing goes from Very Stable to Stable the INSTANT you start the infusion with stabilizers. I was lucky to even make the Brain in a Jar, and had more trouble crafting the Thaumium Fortress Armor. All we can do is wait in the next beta for these things to be adjusted accordingly.
Does anybody find out how to make old Excavation focus in new focus system? Terra + Bolt just break block, but doesnt pull it to your inventory, its more attack spell. Also i missing focus like Void cage, Warding, and my favourite Primal boom thing.
There is somewhat of a cheat for that. Cast the breaking ball, then instantly switch to your axe of the stream, or any other tool enchanted with collector.
Also, you don't need terra, there is an actual excavation effect.

If so, then bolt+excavation effect = excavation focus.

I try to play thaumcraft on server(6.1 beta 17, minecraft 12.2), but all message from mod in english language, however clients use russian locale. In single game all right (russian translate not complite, but quite playable).
i just use mcedit to remove it.
