Two images attached. What exactly are these, and what do they do/is supposed to be done with them?
The left one is a Flux Rift, which opens when there's too much Flux nearby. It reduces Flux in the vicinity (since Flux flows out of our Universe through them), and spawns various nasty stuff. It also destroys blocks and grows over time. As of Beta16, there's no (non-cheat) way of closing them again, you'd have to wait for the next update.
The right image seems to be a Flux Storm (or whatever it's called). It damages you while you're in it (as you probably noticed). I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the Flux Rift spawns it occasionally, so it'd be one of it's effects.

I see. Then in the interest of cheating as little as possible, do we know what the intended method of getting rid of them is?
The purple storm thing definitely isn't damaging me when I stand in it. As far as I can tell it isn't actually doing anything.
Running a few infusions and letting them go unstable should unlock that path.

In cause I'm not the last one to notice it: stabilizers crash the server and prevent it from starting if directed at a rift. DO NOT try to stabilize a rift. Use the cheat sponge to get rid of it until it's fixed.
Hello guys. I've got a rather weird problem with latest version of the mod - I can't craft salis mundus for some unknown reasons. Its recipe just unavailable at all. Is it some kind of a bug or may be a compatibility problem? I hope someone knows how can it be fixed?

I got some crystals and a message that I should sleep. After I slept I got a book with salis mundus description. But, as I already said, its recipe is unavailable.
I took some of them in creative mode to unlock thaunomicon and to craft workbench and cauldron, which works well. But it is not an option to create this item in such way all the time.
Have you tried it in a non-vanilla workbench? Or, do you have a mod which changes the vanilla workbench?
I suspect it would only work in a vanilla one. Or in the arcane crafting table. Try cheating yourself an arcane crafting table and see if it works there.
I'm having a problem with the current beta Thaumcraft that I'm not seeing mentioned here, so it's entirely possible that I'm the problem somewhere, but I can't get the infusion alter to form. I've checked the book multiple times, torn it down and remade it, removed and readded the fire focus to the glove, nothing works. When I used beta 13 it was fine but this world isn't cooperating. Any suggestions?
So you put up the four 2 block pillars with a pedestal in the center and the matrix in the middle, used the salis on the infusion matrix and now the gauntlet won't activate it?

Stupid question: where is the stabilizer located in the thaumonomicon? I kinda can't find it anymore.
I remember researching it, and I am definitely able to craft it, I just can't find it's entry...
This is why I dislike the spellbats. Too chaotic, no control.
One of my very aspects is Ordo. On of the two (yes, I have one twice)
Yes, I AM a Vampire. Nice of you to notice.
Why is that box so big? What do you mean I should stop breaking the fourth wall?
Infusion. Right down from the basics.
I seem to actually be lacking the research. Just looked in the cheat sheet. Oh well, another bug...
What am I supposed to do to unlock it, though?
Running a few infusions and letting them go unstable should unlock that path.

Damn.

Let's see if I can mcedit it away...

It's not a normal recipe.
You are supposed to mine some crystals, then sleep in a bed with a book&quill, I think. Then it gets unlocked. Or, at least, then it should unlock.
I tried to craft it in the way you were described, but it wasn't unlocked. May be there is a console command to unlock it?
In general, the command is
/thaumcraft research <playername> <researchname>
There are research names in the lang file:
https://github.com/Azanor/thaumcraft-beta/blob/master/en_us.lang
they look like
research.CAPSLOCK.something
You need the part in caps lock.
From looking into that file, I have no idea which one this could be, though :/
Maybe just BASICS?
Did you uncover its recipe, to begin with?

There's no recipe per se. Just pick 3 DIFFERENT kinds of crystals, redstone dust, bowl and flint.
The book is RATHER explicit about it.

Uh... I knew there had to be something I was forgetting...
Salis on the thing? Maybe I just can't read but I didn't see that.
Yes, you have to read the omnomnomicon more carefully.
