hey azanor, so i could suggest that those wisp could enter into golems to make them alive, like the wisps are the souls of the golems, too i dont know if this only happens to me but i think the strike while you add the ray effect to your focus is a bit bugged

I believe that this has been fixed for the next version.
That moment when you build your thaumic dioptra, place it in the room you have designated as your interim workshop, look at the vis map, and discover that you have built your manse squarely in the middle of the lowest-vis 'valley' in a seven-chunk radius...
Oh well, I was kinda half planning on a separate Tower of Art anyway. There's a 'butte' about eight chunks away with nearly twice the vis levels.
So I came up with a fairly simple, albeit somewhat expensive golem logistics system, and I wanted to make a video on it so I could get opinions, ways to better it to make it more efficient, less expensive, etc.
"After using Alchemical Brass for nearly the whole duration of my studies, I feel like I could step things up, especially now after having put it to so many practical applications. Looking through a wide variety of items, I've noticed that Potions and many Alchemical blocks and items contain a very peculiar aspect not mentioned in the old scrolls and books of olden thaumaturges: Alkimia. With Thaumium using Praecantatio and Ordo to enhance Iron beyond any mundane state, why not use Alkimia to enhance Brass a step further? I have dubbed this new substance Alkimium, and it serves to be more suited for alchemical items than plain brass."
"One of the first concepts I've drawn up with this new metal in mind is an upgrade to the Alchemical Furnace, replacing the brass on the inside and out with Alkimium, giving it a little boost in processing speed and a lower probability of turning a unit of essentia into Flux. In fact, Essentia seems much more stable in the presence of Alkimium. Perhaps this property can be explored further."
"Another idea I had while designing it was for a Centrifuge that would always produce both halves of a compound aspect every time it performed a centrifuging operation. This "Advanced" Centrifuge should prove useful when trying to centrifuge aspects down into a specific lower aspect, rather than making it a coin flip."
"Perhaps Alkimium can even be used as a Golem material. Brass sure seemed to work fine as a light and elegant material, but what will Alkimium give to these little mechanical assistants? After further study, it seems that golems built from Alkimium will move more swiftly... But something feels strange about their movements."
"Infusing a pair of Goggles with some Alkimium nuggets and a little extra Alkimia essentia has attuned them to the actions of my Alkimium-enhanced devices, and Essentia tubing. When looking at an Alchemical Furnace with Alkimium, I will see the stats for how many items it can cook with the fuel currently placed within, as well as its current processing speed, and the overall likelyhood that Flux will be released into the Aura. When looking at a tubeless essentia relay, it will display it's maximum range. When looking at a Jar of any sort, it will show me how much suction the jar currently has."

Sounds quite swell to be honest and looks good too!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Yes, I AM a Vampire. Nice of you to notice.
Why is that box so big? What do you mean I should stop breaking the fourth wall?
I both love and hate when Thaumcraft updates. I've been playing ever since it was basically grinding cobblestone on a magical research table and being a magical plumber. That being said I love everytime it updates because it means more things and new content but at the sametime everytime it update sI have to relearn it because it's completly different each time >.<
Not bad of an idea, though if i may, Some suggestions?
The color could use to be a touch darker, as currently it look very similar to diamond, and diamond related accessories.
The "Advanced Centrifuge" could allow you to select which of the two products you wish to keep, instead of letting you keep both.
And lastly, in return for the greater essentia efficiency Alkimium furnaces are slower than the highest tier, Making the conversion more stable at the cost of speed, but with the addition of being able to freeze the consumption of fuel when not smelting, so long as it's alumentum that is being used.
It is a nifty idea though. Would be interesting to see.

All of these sound like good ideas to me, I will give the color a bit of darkening, since you're the second person to say it looks like a diamond material, and I do like that functionality for the Advanced Centrifuge, it seems more feasible. The slower processing of the Alkimium furnace also seems like a good balancing mechanic, and pausing fuel consumption would be great. Especially if it could be toggled by a redstone signal, that would give a lot of automation management potential. I'll edit this or perhaps make a new post with the darkened textures.
I know I mentioned it on the git, but... the focus system is a bit bothersome, to me... I think the new system is amazing, but, I can make a focus that costs 15 per cast, that only does 1.8 damage. Opinions?
**I know Azanor has been messing with the values, and perhaps I'm missing the balanced-ness implied for foci, and I just don't like it too much.

EDIT 1: It has been fixed - https://github.com/Azanor/thaumcraft-beta/issues/312

too, some anaerobic essentia is not showing up and showing with a delay too, a example i've seen is praemunio, ordo, someone happened this too?
So I came up with a fairly simple, albeit somewhat expensive golem logistics system, and I wanted to make a video on it so I could get opinions, ways to better it to make it more efficient, less expensive, etc.
pretty sure he might not have a TC6 API released yet... it IS still in beta.
Arent we supposed to start with inspiration? I think 5 inspiration Azanor said? Is this a bug or am I miss remembering?
Inspiration is the lightbulbs in the research table I think...
So the brokenness was only in the API, I thought it went deeper. Nice work! I'll have to try and duplicate it.
Did you log an issue on https://github.com/Azanor/thaumcraft-beta/issues ?

Your derp profile picture accurately shows how I am feeling right now... So my next question is how do we gain (triple checks this time) Epiphanies?

"Examine fire very closely."
I'm not sure quite how much more closely I can examine fire, unless I'm supposed to actually set myself on fire...
You guessed it.
can confirm. Burn yourself at the stake for scie- i mean, Thaumaturgy.
Broken in what way?
I know I mentioned it on the git, but... the focus system is a bit bothersome, to me... I think the new system is amazing, but, I can make a focus that costs 15 per cast, that only does 1.8 damage. Opinions?
