Just a suggestion, but what if you could infuse chests to the focus pouch to create a focus backpack, it would lose the ability to be worn as a bauble but give you the ability to hold all the awesome stuff you get in the outer lands. I just think that would be really cool. Right now I am using an ender chest and a magic mirror, but the miror creates flux which I have to clean with a pure node which I would like not to have to do.
I think an "ender backpack" makes more sense. a backpack to specifically hold outer lands drops doesnt have a great amount of functionality. and to be completely honest, your suggested crafting recipe sounds more like making sometime like a bag of holding, specifically for foci something more like an enderchest infused with some mix of belt, chest, and some other item of expense. i do wanna say though, as someone who has a magic mirror as in input for a sorting system, ive never had problems with flux? and, if you are going to use an enderchest for storing items, why dont you just, carry an enderchest on you, its not like they drop the item when broken, and its not like it would take more slots then a mirror would.

You can optionally charge the Vis amulet and Thaumastatic Harness in the Recharge Pedestal - but there is no point really as the Vis Amulet recharges when worn, and charges the Thaumastatic Harness when worn.
So I understand this mechanic less after the latest improvements than ever.
Idea: the recharge pedestal "supercharges" items for ten minutes or so, giving whatever is placed inside of it double the normal recharge rate (even if it is removed from the pedestal and placed inside of the player's inventory) for the duration of the supercharge.
The recharge rate could be replaced by some other buff (possibly even a permanent transformation into a different item) for certain items.
Everyone is really not liking the loss of the Repair enchantment, right? Make the Recharge Pedestal repair items that are placed in it (using energy from the local aura). Mending would still have a use (you won't have to go back to the Pedestal as often), but players could still use Thaumcraft to repair their tools!
Well it's a dense forest. Jungle makes you lag as well.
An interesting, and in my experience, baseless claim. If you are getting fps issues in jungles, it might be because of the extreme number of leaf blocks, combined with particularly low spec video hardware - requiring Graphics to be set to "Fast" (which wont render leaf blocks as transparent) rather than Fancy.
is only me or anyone is getting a extreme lag on the magical biome ?
If you press shift-F3 the game prints out timing diagnostics.
Is the "extreme lag" actual tps lag, caused by (perhaps) a large quantity of entities, or is it a very low FPS, caused by some choke in the rendering system?
Azanor,me and my friends want to make an addon for this mod,and it may seem like I am not a addon maker, and that is true,I am just part of the possible development team,so is it ok if we can make an addon?

i dont know i just know that i cant even move myself when i'm there and a saw on youtube a video showing lag in the magical forest too but he could move but the entities nearby him were lagging

EDIT:my fps drop to 3 and 2
Yeah - but where does the big pie chart indicate that the time is being spent?
SSP games are somewhat problematic to diagnose as a single MC instance is processing both the server (ticks, measured as tps) and client rendering (frames, measured as fps), and a problem with tps can slow the whole client down so it looks like a fps issue.
That said - if your fps is down in the single digits it sounds like a problem on the rendering side of things - have you tried turning your gfx settings down? If you arn't, make sure the Launcher does not close while running Minecraft - the Launchers log contains a lot of diagnostic information and might be tellling you something is wrong. Ive seen massive fps drops and the log filled with OpenGL errors in the past.
I've got some questions regarding taint/flux/aura.
As I understand it (correct me if I'm wrong), taint can generate on grass-like blocks when there is flux on the aura.
I guess aura is linked to specific chunck(s)? So this would mean there is no "height" to the aura?
For exemple, if I'd build a floating island and started to generate flux on it to create taint, chances are that I'll create taint under the island as well?
Would it be the same when growing silverwood trees on the island, would we see the effect on the grass under the island?

Aura knows no height, but only the top layers get hit by taint lightning, which may be fixed, though.
• Eldricth Guardians are ethereal beings; but if you have a really good bow (Power V) even you're can handle two o three of them easily. Example, the cultist mages are harder because the area of fireballs and their pursuit magic are extremely good; so how can be posible that a being of far beyond the mundane minecraft it's so weak. Probably need an upgrade to don't take damage from mundane weapons or bows (cause they are ethereal), or change of darkball shoting speed, maybe with the pursuit AI to force the player don't stay in confort of far reaches.
• Cultist Warriors are humans, of course the madness take control of their, but they could be like the new skeletons, with a retreat AI, or start to put a Shields because 1.9 it's here and they need to be more wise to attack or defend themselves that others mobs of the mundane Minecraft. They have right now the AI, YES but it's easy to cheat when you have a bow and a stack of block.
• Crawlers and weirds things in the maze are fine, but the Corpses without souls (I don't remember the name) are very very nonesense mobs, like they are corpses, at least put a lot of life to them, or zero knock resistance or IDK :v
• Wisps could have more life, because they're, again, ethereal beings, or maybe they just can be with magic form the wand

I support the ethereal beings damage resistance for theme, but it would kind of make the only way to play to be Thaumcraft(or maybe other magic mods if they work). And a lot of people like to be able to pick and choose which mods they play with, anybody can kill a guardian now, even if they don't use thaumcraft, and I think, for most situations, that's the right way to do it.
But I'd totally play a modpack where ethereal creatures can only be harmed by magic(or magic weapons like Thaumium, Manasteel, Ars Magica Bound Blade, Blood magic Bound Blade, etc...)

i feel like binding being able to harm the guardians only via "magic" things could get a bit weird on coding side? cause either azanor has to make a whitelist or every modder who wants their stuff to hit the guardians has to whitelist specific gear that would be able to, say, the botania porter would have to whitelist every single sword weapon from the mod, sorta deal. From what this is replying too the "shambling corpses" i thought were obvious enough, they have the crabs on them acting as heads. and these same crabs will jump on your heads. its not hard to put 2 and 2 together.

I am not sure, but basically instead of coding every damage in you just code out vanilla damage, that would cover every spell casting mod, including TC I think, the weapons might be the tricky part, I honestly don't know.

to my knowledge, there isnt really any "coding out" vanilla damage, its just, damage, like, the shock focus doesnt apply electric damage, its just, damage.

Minecraft recognizes distinct damage sources, anything it doesn't recognize is called magic, which works well for this.
wait, wouldnt that just mean more whitelisting then, i remember having killed a friend with a chain shock focus mid dungeon once, and it reading it as "killed with shock focus" not magic. "middle of a rougelike raid and i was in a corner panicking" and to be honestly, ive really disliked the whole "you need this item to hurt this thing" trope. in theory it can be a proggression thing, but it can just hinder you and make things feel forced
