Isn't that the reason for quotation marks? No matter, either mode needs hours of using the deconstruction table, if several Thaumcraft addons are installed. (Just as an info, the Thaumcraft addons which are in Banished: Thaumic Tinkerer, Automagy, Thaumic Horizons, Gadomancy, Thaumic Esoterica, Thaumic Infusion, Witching Gatchets, Magicis Tenebris (?) and Forbidden Magic.)
The problem is that - besides Thaumic Tinkerer - all addons use far to many aspects on "easy"! I get the strong feeling that they misinterpreted "easy".
The only reason it's called "Easy" is because you don't have to do the minigame. It just buys the research directly. Because of that, it costs a set number of aspects (or exp in TC5). Easy does not mean cheap. Also, unless you're trying to do every single research in one sitting, you shouldn't have a problem. Just carry a Thaumometer with you all the time and scan anything you find/make.
Seriously, it's not that hard.
I only ever play on normal difficulty. Easy is an aspect sink, and Hard is a time sink.
You really think the Wither wouldn't require extra health? Especially some mods OP mobs would require extra health
the wither doesnt require extra health. but with heart canisters you can just facetank him and whack him down with a sword, without the need for apples or potions.
runic shielding already counters the withering effect pretty well. but with 10 hearts you still have to look out.
That's also a reason. It would be great if when one uses ignis essentia one would get significantly less flux due to essentia being more "stable" than sucking in ignis from the aura.
I don't thinks that's the problem. I've literally been hours with the warp bar filled to the top (when the brain icon changes to a broken brain) suffered a lot of warp events but nothing happens. (I also DIDN'T wear my mask of the devil helmet just in case)The other day I researched an eldrich guardian spawned from an obelisk and the "this could lead to new research" message apeared but the thaumonomicon didn't changed at all.
In some games I've rolled the revelation really early - in others it was a struggle to unlock. You're at the mercy of the RNG for getting the revelation event or some other warp event. In the current SMP game, I was the first player to unlock it. But, it took a really long time in this instance. Best bet is to chow brains and just play the game normally. There's a ton of content to play through while you're munchin' on brains and waiting to go mad.
meh. i dont like the heart canisters. 60 health is really pretty op. ive seen nothing in minecraft yet, that would need me to ahve that much health.
the only instance i was glad i had it was blood magics early game.
Agreed, they are pretty easy to obtain and with other mods that add ways to increase max health (aether's life shards, Zss's heart canisters, etc.) you can get nearly the amount of health the ender dragon has (with these three mods you can get eight full rows of health which is two rows off from the ender dragon's).

I play only with the top notch mods only, which instantly excludes orespawn and lucky blocks.
So, following up on someones' thread from a ways back, these are the "clean" crucible recipes I've figured out or gotten from the thread. The brass routine is from a prior poster, in practice I took that out to my "dirty" site and just spilled the extra aspects. ETA: Added more recipes.
And an almost-balanced recipe: This will make 2 balanced shards from any primal shard, with 4 points of the shard's aspect left over. For most cases, this can then be fixed:
I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
I was playing with some TC4 and my brain came up with a logic: Since stone is natural why not give it ordo and terra, cobblestone only terra and gravel terra and perditio.
or was that only in TC4/Would that give too much ordo?
Also, a few people seem to complain about everything making flux, So why not make flux have small benefits while there's only a small amount, like for example minor cost reduction from the chance of flux being consumed instead of vis when crafting?
Make face plates interchangable. Just infusion craft the plates themselves (with a thaumium plate taking the place of the helmet or something), then craft the helmet with a plate, to put in the plate. Remove the plate by crafting the helmet and returning the helmet as container item, the plate as the crafted thingy.
Sipping Fiend:
See entities through blocks. Just their "hearts", though, like you see ore with the Pickaxe of the Core.
Angry Ghost:
Make Player model every so slightly translucent. like 90-95% opague
Remove the ability to shove/being shoved by other entities. If you are close enough to normaly shove other entities, they get a very short duration wither effect.
Add slight chance to ignore hits completely (because ghost). Maybe replace the chance to apply wither to attacker with it.
Grinning Devil:
Increase speed depending on health missing. Maybe make it so max speed is actually slightly decreased when at full health, because the Grinning Devil is bored... Like, say it's 5% increase for every missing hp, 19 hp being normal speed, 20 meaning slowing down to 95%, speed increases to 190% at 1 hp. Also maybe a laughter sound when making a puddle because of thaumarhea, because poop is funny okay, that last part was just sillyness
All in all just trying to make them a little more interesting. And the faceplate interchanging part is because I think it feels natural. Also you don't have to enchant 3-4 different helmets just because you want to go out in a different face sometimes :|

Those are some pretty cool ideas for faceplates, I myself never used faceplate effects really as they weren't really worth the time to make them.

Eh Botania and the wither are both good bosses to have extral health. You WILL take damage in the wither fight because you have to close the distance or take time aiming, or have him in a box where you take the wither explosion damage. ragardless if your weapons are hot crap then extra HP is very needed
The botania Bosses are also much less fair. They teleport around at about half the speed of a burning or rained on Enderman which is still really hard to get to. And i dont know about you but i am never rolling in gold to make those expensive notch apples so yeah Heart containers have their place.
Im fairly sure the thaumcraft bosses are pretty stupid hard or atleast getting there. Dont know about you but i dont like face-checking DARKNESS bolts from the super ghosts and that dungen looked liked it spawned alot of them. THe idea armor set up i would want going in there for thaumcraft only would have 40-50 runic shielding or more depending on which thaumcraft version.
THat is all assuming you survive accidently bothering the crimson cult and have to deal with 10 or 20 of their respawning knights and god knows how much magic.

Only crazy people or evil people think such polution can ever be useful! or helpful.... or weaponized....
Hmm You might be on to something. Scrap the 'in small amounts' thing and go full super villin. Take a page from starcraft and treat the taint like Creep. Benifits for being in and on it ... special things you can do only on taint blocks and other things. perhaps even use it as a power source like how the old arcane pedistals worked. wands would draw vis from the nodes (or Arua) so have something that benfits more from absorbing taint. THEN it becomes a question of "Unethical Ballance" (making use of the waste biproducts for the sake of progress) or "LIVE FOR THE SWARM" and suddenly become that guy that heros are trying to stop or something. I dunno Evil magic and dark magic has always been portrayed as Quick and Easy and as destructive as it is corrupting..
Honestly thaumcraft is missing only the Super villin part of this whole thing. since it doesnt provide a boss mob that does taint thing why not the players? Would also give another possible downside of having warp. Heros dont like evil wizards that are doing magics from their towers. a random invasion by pesky hero types trying to stop you might be amusing

I know from first hand experience that the wither and both gaia guardians can be killed without extra health and without the aid from someone else. They're really not that hard to deal with when you've properly prepared your equipment. In the case of the gaia guardians though you will need to spend a little bit of gold to make the healing flasks, but nowhere near as much as a notch apple. All of these bosses aren't godly powerful like you're making them out to be. I'm sure that if I really tried I might be able to fight some of TC's bosses without the aid of runic shielding. Although they're balanced around having the shielding so it might be a lot more difficult to do so.

Due to my snarky and sarcastic personality I can easily be seen as a jerk. If I've offended you in any way it was likely unintended.
It's not for money and not in the exact format. Maybe just make it something as an item/effect? BluSunrize had capes in a Thaumcraft addon.
Also it'd be really cool to see a Praetor with a flowing red and gold cape.
