So I'm trying to edit the redstone inlay textures a bit. The one thing I most wanted to change are those hard white and black lines along the edges. I can't find any texture file for those, however. Does anybody have any clues on that?
Thaumcraft has and will forever be, the best mod for minecraft. It has an atmosphere of creativity and mystery, the wonders of both magic and science, and mechanics quite unparalleled in most modding communities. Thank you Azanor for creating something beautiful, and if the reins of thaumcraft are being handed off to others, then perhaps this isn't an end, but a beginning. A seed from which new ideas will mix with old and flourish into something that alone it could not have achieved. I do not believe this is the "death" of thaumcraft, anymore that 1.7.10 was the death of it, things will change, and I am happy for this contribution to fun and gaming you have given this community. I might end up sticking around in 1.12.2 longer than I had hoped, but perhaps my skills will evolve to one day help with this uncertain future, until then, thank you for the warp.
I had another observation regarding primordial pearls: they MIGHT drop more often, if the rift spawns in a vis-rich environment.
Last time, I did my experiments in The End, to prevent the spread of taint. The End, at least for me, has a very low vis level. I think I got a primordial pearl there once, from, like 20 rifts I destroyed.
This time, I installed Aether Legacy, and did my experiments there. The Aether is very vis-rich for me, consistently having more than 200 vis, and about 250 in the chunk where I had the rifts this time. Had two rifts there, and BOTH gave me a primordial pearl. The second one even with two uses in it.
Does anybody know if, perhaps in the future, Azanor will allow someone else to take up the torch of developing this mod?
I understand if it is left in the state it is currently in, and I can't say how much I appreciate how much work has been put into this to make it happen. Though to see the final game version it will be released on, get a proper final release, and a nice sort of fare well, it would be nice.
Team CoFH has a Discord server with a channel dedicated to Thaumcraft, so if you have any questions that haven't been answered already... Development of Forge and their own mods has priority over that of Thaumcraft, though.

Hi i had a question, i've just started a game with Thaumcraft 6 and i've made my way up until runic shielding.
However i was so disappointed when i equipped it and a yellow heart appeared on my health bar. Does the super cool effect of runic shielding is gone ? Or was it another mod ?
Today is the first day in a long time I've visited the forum. I'm stunned that Azanor is departing, it's like I'm seeing an era coming to an end. I hope by ending the development of Thaumcraft he gets the opportunity to enjoy his life more. Thank you for all of the memories and the experiences, Azanor. We'll all miss you.

Unfortunately, the cool runic effect never made it past 1.7.10 due to difficulties with implementation. Unless someone feels like modding it back in on their own, I wouldn't expect it to return.
The Focal Manipulator does not appear to work in 6.1 beta 26. All I get is what is in the screenshot below when I put a Blank Lesser Focus in it:
The Aspects are missing from the left side of the GUI, and the Start Crafting button does nothing. Is there some research I still need to do, or is it something else?
I did notice that someone posted a bug report with the same issue to github, but it did not appear to have been resolved.
BTW, none of the Blank Foci will work in here - I cheated in an Advanced and a Greater Focus for testing, and both did the same thing as the Lesser Focus did.

Is Thaumcraft 6 functional or I'd should go to Thaumcraft 5?
Thaumcraft 6 is functional.

Since the mod is/was WIP, that visual effect hasn’t been implemented.
