When Thaumcraft 6.1 Beta26 was installed, all five of the Stabilizers around my Infusion Altar are now pointed straight up. I cannot find any tool that will rotate them, and I have tried all kinds of ways to place them, hoping that i could find a way to place them pointing at my altar.
How do you aim the Stabilizers?
Stabilizers and how they work have completely changed. They don't "point" at anything any more. Read the Thaumonomicon for more details.
Has anyone else had trouble finding cultist portals in the current beta? I've only run into a couple, and didn't get lucky enough to get a Crimson Rites book from the defenders of either one before they closed. Are there specific requirements for a portal to spawn?
I've also encountered a couple of interesting quirks:
Shift-right clicking on a chest with the Thaumoscope seems to research everything inside that chest along with the chest itself. This is repeatable multiple times so long as there are un-researched items in the chest.
Loading a finalized Focus back into the Focus crafting table allows it to be "overwritten", but results in a pitch-black Focus that is treated by the gauntlet as a blank. At that point it becomes completely unusable. I'd love to see an option to legitimately tweak existing Foci, mirroring the ability to combine enchantments and repair/rename items using the Anvil. Maybe having the effect nodes remain locked in but allowing the options to be changed could work?

Working as intended. That's been around since near the start of this version, it makes scanning less tedious.

I'd suggest reporting this bug over at github. I agree it would be nice to tweak a focus.
Can someone please tell me some details about flux before I destroy myself with flux rifts by mistake? Does it disappear on its own? Or am I forced to use the methods I found online, with crystals underground, or flux sponge?

I encountered my first rift after dumping (deliberately) a HUGE amount of flux into the chunk I was in by way of the cauldron. Even after the ambient flux levels had settled down, the rift continued to develop over time. One or two in-game "weeks" after it appeared, it started spawning these distortions on top of me that bounced me all over my tower and did insane damage before disappearing. Those seem to show up every couple days if I'm in the area. Doesn't look like its going to go away on its own at all.
I'm sure people have all the specific mechanics worked out, but that was my anecdotal experience with the current build.
I'm not really sure where else to ask this so:
Is there any way to change the base multiplier of the Infernal Furnace? I'm doing another singeplayer run of what amounts to just Thaumcraft 6 and utility mods (storage drawers, refined storage, JEI) but the base resource multiplier pre-pickaxe of the core has always been pretty disappointing to me so I'd like to up it to maybe 1.3x or 1.5x from the 1.1x (or 1.05x?) that it seemed to be last time I played. Only problem is I don't see any mention of the infernal furnace in the configs- maybe I'm just missing it somehow.
If it's not easily done I'll live with it, a bit more mining won't be that much of an issue.

you don't. The new stabilizers have a complementing tile that you lay out like redstone from the stabilizers to the altars. the new stabilization mechanic I've found to be interesting as well as it adds an eldritch aesthetic akin to glyph or rune magi tech. Ooh, idea! for the endgame, maybe an eldritch repeater that takes any signal passed into it from the stabilizers and outputs a max signal at the altar it's pointed at!
It is really hard not to ask the forbidden question. This version of the mod looks amazing so far and I'm eager to see what comes next. I'm really curious how getting to the outer lands is going to work since there's not any obelisks or nodes it looks like. Will we ever get to see the lands where the crimson dwell? Will the aspects remain the same? Will Jan and Uri make their relationship work despite being changed by seeing beyond our world?!

Okay, I'm done trashing your threat, Azanor! X3 lol
I dont run with too much. just millinaire, agricraft, tinkers, JEI, and all their integrations.
no, when I do get to play, its solo. too old and grumpy to deal with all the twelvies on most servers. XD
There's a nice PrimalCore and Kitsu's Forgecraft server I play on that's full of adults, more like you. It's quite fun. Modpack needed: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/technicians-survival-2/files/2632986
I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!

is there any chance what eldrich tab update will be done this year?

No more news about Azanor people ?
Minecraft without Thaumcraft is like a pizza without cheese, tasteless !!!
He started working again 1 week ago or so. He was very busy last month. Luckily we get another update this month

Updates, of course.
Yeah, it is very hard to ask this and not being qualified as someone who is impatient ... that's why i asked about Azanor , not about updates
Diplomacy is the key

Like many, I'm watching the thread for updates.
"When is the day before the update?"
That's one way to not ask it.
(Yes, this is a joke)
You can also ask for the day after ^^

Better yet.
