Actually, decay is now impossible to turn off, and is permanently set to 3 in-game days, due to every server and pack maker turning off decay. And it's a good thing.
I agree, botania is designed so you have to automate the more advanced flowers, there's not really much of that going on whenever everyone puts down fields of daybloom/nightshade.

Please don't. There are other forums where the design problems of Botania can be discussed.
Hey azanor, why didn't you port essentia reservoirs? They were extremely useful and I like that you should add them back into thaumcraft. Besides, there aren't enough uses for void metal anyway.

@Azanor
Sorry to bother you, and I know you might have a reason for leaving this out, but I would like to suggest adding silverwood and greatwood variants of fences and such, because their creation is currently not possible.
I posted something like this a few pages back in response to someone else's comment, but Azanor, if you read this post, I had an idea for something I would consider very balanced, but still useful.
The idea is, a new version of the TC2 travel portals, modified to fit in with the TC5 lore. I'm going to attempt to coin a Thaumonomicon entry to put this into perspective:
Magic Mirrors were a worthy discovery, this is true. Using the void realm between dimensions, you were able to transport items and essentia vast distances in the blink of an eye. However, this realm proved very hostile to mortal creatures such as yourself, making transport of living things impossible. Until now, that is.
Using the strange spatial warping effect caused by the presence of a Primordial pearl, you are able to enhance an existing mirror with the ability to shield living cargo from the adverse effects of the Void. A few extra ingredients and some essentia are then infused into the mirror to "stretch" it, allowing passage of larger objects such as animals and thaumaturges like yourself, into the void.
Granted, the process is not 100% foolproof. These "Transport Mirrors" are very unstable, and so generate far more flux than a normal mirror would. Also, though the majority of the negative effects of the Void are blocked by the spatial bubble, a few little side effects do manage to get through, such as minor damage or the addition of temporary warp upon stepping through the rift. Then again, what is progress without some risk?
As a final note, these mirrors cannot be linked to normal ones, either essentia or item-related, for obvious reasons.
(Recipe could look something like: Infusion, Magic mirror in the center, with one Primordial pearl, four void metal, one mirrored glass, and an ender pearl, with some Alienis, Vacuos, Potentia/Auram, and all primal aspects. Very high instability, maybe even dangerous. Outputs either one or two mirrors, depending on how Azanor feels, you need two to make a link.)
(note: yes this is in the Eldritch section of the book)

I hope someday there's more magic in Minecraft, though I know it's not likely to happen. In the meantime, I play modded a lot. I enjoy a lot of other games too, so don't expect me to be on the forums all the time.
Since Enchanting in 1.8.9 is significantly cheaper, the best route is enchanting books. You can hover over the enchant list and see if Repair shows. If it doesn't I will choose the cheapest enchantment to cycle the list and try again. Note that although the top level enchants won't show up until level 30, it doesn't take 30 levels to get it.
I also prefer to go for lower levels of a specific enchant (Fortune 1 for instance) and 2 books with that level in the anvil to get the next level.
You'll end up with a TON of lvl 1 books that you can then combine to level 2, etc, to get all the enchants you really want over time as well. Make sure you setup an XP farm (spawners OP) before going into this endeavor though.
One note - the universe of enchants you can get on a book is larger than the universe of enchants you get on any given item. So your odds of getting repair increase dramatically if you are checking multiple thaumcraft items each cycle instead of just grinding books. i was able to get repair on my TC hoe and pick with maybe 10-15 dummy items. not sure how many books you'd need to grind
That's just "what infinity does", though; there's nothing special about the way Infinity interacts with the Bone Bow, therefore there's no reason for the Bone Bow entry to call out how it works with Infinity.
The Primal Arrows entry defines how it works with Infinity because it's different from how Infinity works with regular arrows.
I would still think mention of it should go somewhere, and I tested it. It seems infinity on a vanilla bow will not work without an arrow in one's inventory. Infinity on the bone bow however does not need an arrow in one's inventory.
Does anybody else think that essentia reservoirs should be added to thaumcraft again? Please reply if you do.
Yes, we get it. You want the reservoirs back. You're not the only one. I'd like them back too and I'm sure there are plenty of others who would like them to return as well. So now that someone replied to you, will you stop bringing this up so often? It's kinda getting a bit annoying.

1: There is a easi quickly way to find a magical forest?
2: There is a chanse to find an a taint biome?
Please anyone answer! Thanks!!
Not sure about the first one other than just randomly finding it but the second one yes but not immediately, it can either happen via a tainted or hungry node which will take time.

I'm using the latest version of TC for 1.7.10 and the entropy golem upgrade doesn't seem to have any effect. Golems don't ignore damage or NBT when those options are checked for the golem. For example, I expect a fuzzy gather golem to pick up a different damage value or a potion with a different effect.
Is this a known problem? Can anyone confirm that this upgrade is working so I can try to figure out whether it's a mod interaction?
Edit: made a completely new profile and tested with only TC in the mods folder. Still not working.
Edit: tested with 5.1.4, and it's not working there either so I really could be misunderstanding how this is supposed to work. Advanced Control Seal: Collect on the ground with a repaired iron shovel in the filter and "Use metadata" unchecked, and Control Seal: Store on a chest. The golem picks up repaired iron shovels but not damaged ones.
Considering that Azanor is avoiding multiblocks "because effort" (see scribing table change log), chance of multiblock reservoir is slim.
I'd settle for "just" super-dense end game jars that can contain some ridiculous amount of essentia.
The essentia reservoir isn't a multiblock. It's pretty much just 4 jars in a single block space that's capable of holding multiple types of essentia. So it is that super-dense end game jar that you want.

I would go with Boots of the Traveler to quickly move (bring bed and food) and journeymap (for waypoints of them and finding back home)
Thats how I found both in my new world and returned home to tell the story
btw, if you place wood blocks in the tainted land they will get tainted over time (1 vitium, 1 herba) and a row of that is easy to harvest with the axe of the stream and they will not taint you when having them in your inventory. dont go overkill when smelting them down at home to avoid making your homeplace a tainted biome

1. You can go into Thaumcraft's config file and increase the weight of magical forest biomes by a large amount. This will make them much more likely to generate.
2. I don't think tainted biomes can be encountered naturally. At least I've never seen one. Creating an artificial one isn't very difficult, however. Throw a bunch of junk such as dirt and stone into a boiling crucible and you'll have a tainted biome within minutes.

I want to add a zinc cluster
for brass alloy

This is not Metallurgy4. But maybe we shouldn't call it brass... I mean it's ALCHEMICAL brass, but still...
I made a D flip-flop!

Who here has seen AntVenom's video on the 1.8 mod that adds the Far Lands back into minecraft 1.8?
I Immediately wanted to find a Tainted Far Lands. Could you imagine how that would work?!
