Is there a way to make Liquid Death work in a dispenser? will that be added in future? so far all it's done for me is spit the bucket of liquid death back out as an item. Conversely I've also tried placing an empty bucket in the dispenser and then trying to get it to pick up the liquid death to see if it would work that way, but no dice.
I can't promise this will work (because it's the one TC item I still haven't used), but maybe the arcane spa will do what you want. Or just a piston floodgate? I dunno.

yesh dont need to caps yell. dont get upset about someone misunderstanding you. Again, vannilla mechanic, if its in a book you need to anvil it. if its not going on you need to put it on a pick thats more "magically attuned" ie thaumium and stuff.

Arcane spa. im fairly sure that works. piston floodgate really wouldnt imo as it s a finate liquid, or alteast wouldnt look as nice, i just see some of it getting stuck where the piston block was covering and deleting some.
Might be a hefty bit of work, but it'd be really cool for biomes to change depending on the aura in that chunk. So like if all the biomes acted like the taint biome.

So the entry I really want to see in my thauminomicon:
"A small blast in the thaumatorium from some potentia with which you were experimenting left some interesting effects on the stone walls, and this got you to thinking maybe a controlled blast could disperse some other useful thaumic effects over a large area too..."
Followed by an expensive recipe to infuse several ethereal blooms and alumentium, along with other expensive things, into a block of tnt. Output would be a block which when activated would explode in a sphere of the cloud texture for flux (but maybe silvery blue instead) which blasts across around 100 block radius having the same effect an ethereal bloom would have.
In short, a weapon of mass destruction against taint, for those advanced enough to make it.

Am I missing something here? is there a new step between the gold greatwood -> thaumium silverwood wand? i cant seem to craft it even with the full robes, im 40 vis each aspect off on the craft. I'd rather not make a new thaumium greatwood just to use it once.

I really agree with this guy here... Although I do admit I am not quite that far along....(took me a few days just to make a base for your awesome mod)I don't even have the golem tab open yet...but i do have the infernal furnace open but just hesitant to even build it do to the feed back here... i see the flux raising out of my crucible already and my vitium levels are still pretty low.but it sure would be nice to 'infuse' an ethreal bloom nuke bomb to protect my base before I go further...possibly a high end and high infusion item that needs to be set off with tnt...and produce a 'restart' of sorts on the land I'm in and has to be redone due to my further practice of thaumurgty......
bottom line I guess....you gonna be the impatient kid that needs the boots to run from your base, and all bases,?? or take the time to protect the world you live in?? And, of course, keep protecting it.....
Even if i crafted 289 use cores, it wouldn't work, because the golem is right clicking only the core it is standing... Even if he already planted the sapling.

Azanor, is it possible for flux to spawn during world generation? I have a world, where I decided to make a map of my base and the nearby area. I had a map with no zoom as a center, with my base located in it. In the map below, also no zoom, whilst filling the map I discovered flux in that aura, by coincedence. It seemed that the dioptra in my base barely couldn't display it. But the levels were low, staying below 25% of the flux bar. It did cover a decent size. But what suprised me, was that when using a dioptra there I couldn't see any sprakles to indicate a source. Because I just had to know I flew there in gamemode 3, even went underground, but I didnt find a tainted node.
And I have played many hours on that world, that area must have been chunkloaded equaly long so I doubt a tainted node. That flux is too little for a tainted node getting hours to fill the aura.
The aura there never had anything depleted, there is no hungry node. I am clueless.
Do you use Essentia Smeltery? It generates sigificiant taint when used. And so do Infernal Furnace and Mirror.
Other than obvious silver sapling (or settling near pre-existing pure node) solution, I suspect tainted area itself can be a surprisingly effective way to suck taint out of aura. Especially if it has tree trunks - then excess taint will be turned into tainted "fruits" on them, which you can easily harvest and process.
As for mirrors, I'm pretty sure that they don't load chunks, because once I have walked through Nether Gate into my base to a waterfall of buffered items dropping out of mirror. And this sucks.

Does anyone else have problem growing single (1x1) spruce trees from saplings using bonemeal or the Hoe of Growth? The 2x2 spruce tree grows normally, but a single sapling will not grow (it behaves exactly like dark oak sapling, which is okay for dark oak, but not okay for spruce). I made sure there is plenty of space for the spruce tree (at least 5x5x8, but I tested it in superflat, too).
I don't think it is a Thaumcraft issue, but rather an issue with Forge for 1.8.9 (I use Forge version 11.15.0.1699). However, I'd appreciate someone else confirming that.

My opinion on the little nether exploit is the same. I have my equipment there for starting purposes but i don't want to keep it there.
I think i will place all my thaumcraft equipment a bit away from my homebase. My Girlfriend wouldn't be so happy if there is taint around the house
I kinda thought the saplings would be the answer. In a wide circle around me was only 1 Silverwood Tree, but unfortunately without node. I will chop it down and hope for a sapling.

I fixed same issue by switching Java version to 64bit and adding memory in launch settings.

Things can only despawn if they are, in fact, in a loaded chunk.
So, if you are sending things through a mirror and they are not being processed and are despawning, then you (likely) have a situation where something is loading that chunk without your knowledge (but not other chunks) - which is why invisible implicit chunkloading is bad - or that the chunk is weirdly loaded - like the spawn chunks - which process regular ticks (The kind that make things decay and despawn) but don't run random ticks (which allows things like trees to grow) or entity AI (so mob's can't move).
Instead of solving these problems by adding more chunkloading - which just increases the problem for mods that don't - we really need tools to help us diagnose these issues.
And perhaps a bit of smartness on the part of mirrors to not just dump items into the world when the destination chunk can't allow them to be processed properly.
Then there should be some other way to insure lots of items (i.e. more than hungry chest can take) going through mirror from lying around and despawning.

former an alchemical golem would fill a labeled normal jar before filling a labeled void jar
now the first labeled jar (first found or closest?) is filled which can be the void jar and the normal labeled jar is ignored

For now I placed my jars, so the normal jar is closer than the void jar of same aspect to have the furnace act like before
