1: You don't use pipes. It is not essentia, but vis that's going to power the crystallizer. This vis will come from a system made of vis relays and an energized node. I suggest you experiment to understand how it works.
2: Well, you've got the suction mechanic right. A suction of 4, for example, will get in one pipe and loose 1 suction level, and this will repeat itself until the suction reaches 0. I'm not sure about the priority system though, I haven't played with it enough.
I don't know what you mean by "but what is the system about the flowing itself? It's not immediate, and sometimes i got liquid "trapped" inside a pipe".
Could you explain your desing for the thaumatorium? I may be tired, but the description of your problem seems hazy...
First, i'm gonna say i'm so happy playin this game. It's one of the best game experiences i had in my life. Azanor, your game should be sold, seriously.
Second, i've got some problems due to my knowledge of the basics of the essentia.
1)the essentia crystallizer needs terra essentia to work faster: how do i provide it? The pipe only can be attached on the side where the suction for the crystallition comes.
2)I don't get how to make artifices use essentia from pipes on "long" distance. Maybe it's a language mistake, but i don't get the "suction level" thing. What does it mean? I suppose it means: there is something that is searching essentia, and the level means the distance and the force used in such operation. When i have multiple jars connected, only one level of suction is visible. Does that mean that the suction goes only from to the "strongest"? And if so, does the system get clugged only if the suction level is the same? I think so, but i'm not really sure. In this way it would be a system about priority; but what is the system about the flowing itself? It's not immediate, and sometimes i got liquid "trapped" inside a pipe.
So, finally the practical problem: i have a Thaumatorium at some distance >128 from a labeled jar. So, I have to put a jar between, suctioning only from the other one labeled. How to achieve that? There is another way? Please don't tell me i have to use a golem doing it manually, it would a very stupid design
Thanks for everything!
If he sold the mod he'd get in huge trouble with Mojang. He dose have a patreon though if you want to support him through that.
1) It's terra vis, not essentia. You provide it the vis through the vis relay system.
2) I think someone might be able to explain suction a but better then I could. To pipe essentia long distances you would need to construct some "pumps". You attach bellows to a buffer (2-4 bellows should work in most cases) and then you add a red restriction cap (Shift right click with a wand on a pipe coming out of the buffer block) to the buffer on the side you want the essentia to flow out of.

i've been messing around with a new cultist concept and a crossbow. i thought it would be cool to have a more hard hitting long range weapon alongside the foci and bow of bones.
the crossbow is slow, but powerful and uses elemental bolts, specialized bolts(bolts that do stuff that isnt magic) and normal bolts.
there could be several variants like thaumium and void metal that you research by scannig a cultists Iron crossbow.
i came up with some fancy bolts on the go:
Nitor bolt: places nitor at impact location
Alumentum bolt: small explosion on impact
Quicksilver bolt: deals poison damage
Fireworks bolt: extreme flight speed and deals explosive damage(has fireworks trails too and does not break blocks)
Hail bolt: a bolt that splits into several smaller bolts.
how about a voidmetal and thaumium bolt aswell, voidmetal doing peice damage and thaumium able to be picked up again at the cost of dura, but you can enchant with repair and get that durability back

i type up how i would talk to my friends, if you find this rude, i'm sorry.
made another cultist that is a long range mob. imagine a skeleton that shoots bolts that are 5x more powerfull VS players
thats the archer in a nutshel , its a dangerous mob that can shoot you from a long distance, making everything harder.
Oh, wow, neat. These need to be actual armor sets, if not enemies or both. This is stylish. Maybe just variations, retooled Crimson Cult armor for personal purposes?
Maybe in a future update Azanor will change the core so golems fitted with it can gather essentia required by a thaumatorium. He did state that he was going to add more features/tweaks to cores that he considered 'crappy'.
Unrelated: It would be amazing if you could specify what crops for a harvest golem to harvest and replant. Having a wheat field getting turned into a potato field is a bit irritating.
A fix is to use a golem with a 'use' core to replant, with the harvest golem only uprooting crops, not re-planting them.
You will need to set each plant location using the golem bell, make sure it's on the top side of the plant, not the farmland the block is on. If you upgrade him with an ordo upgrade, you can also make him plant different crops in different places using the colours of the golem bell.
A work-intensive solution, and I'm sure there's a simpler way, but this worked for me

The TT add-on has a focus that protects the caster from certain projectiles. I wonder if it would work for crossbow bolts as well. Would give me a reason to use the thing.
So, I've been experimenting with golems, trying to nail down their ranges, and the results I'm getting are... odd. For starters, at least the empty and fill golems can target a mark outside their normal range, if they've somehow gotten closer to it (as in, I'd removed the closer mark while they were on the way).
So far, I've worked on the gather, empty, and fill golems. All three have a range of 16 from the golem location, without upgrades. With a single water upgrade, the gather golem goes up to 19, but the other two go to 20. With two water upgrades, their ranges seem to be 23, 25, and 24 respectively. But with specs, they jump back in line: 17 with just the specs, 22 with specs and one water, 26 with specs and two waters.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.

Quick question. Is it still possible to use an essentia mirror to power the lamps of fertility and growth or something like the arcane bore? I don't know if the bore was possible to begin with, but I've seen spotlights/LP's with the lamps that work, yet when I try it myself it doesn't seem to do anything. I've been trying to centrifuge eggs for their victus for my livestock, but the multiple centrifuging steps make for an eyesore of a setup that I'd really rather not have visible if at all possible, hence the mirrors.

No, now you have to use tubes if I recall correctly.

I was using a Greatwood Golem with a Use Core for repairing a Spleef arena, he had Spectacles, a Water Upgrade, and I think an Earth Upgrade as well. With all that, his range was upwards of 40 blocks horizontally in both directions (x and z).
I had him in an enclosed room with a powered Glacial Precipitator, and let him out after rounds to fix the arena. The efficiency is amazing. The only downside is having to mark every block sideways with the bell. If the tops of the blocks were marked, and the golem was set to "Use on Empty", he wouldn't do anything unless there was a block below the mark. Sideways marks lets him rebuild the arena from one side to the other.
This could also be used for other similarly auto-repairing structures.
On another note, what's the current status of interaction between Golems and Ethereal Platforms, Ghost Blocks, Illusion Blocks, and others that appear solid but aren't? Will they path through them?

I haven't tried it, but I'm betting they'd see it as a solid block.

If a golem is heading towards a marked block, and another block is marked that's currently closer to the golem, will it re-route to the closer target? Or continue to the original destination? And what if, for example, a golem falls and is now closer to a different mark than the first? Will it try to get back to that first?

For example, if an empty golem has two marked locations, one thats 3 squares away and one thats 10 away. When the golem picks up an item from his chest to empty, he will choose the closest location. Even if there is a wall between the golem and the closest location and by going around this wall brings him right over to the second location, he is still set to go to that first location.
That being said, if the path the golem has to take to get to the first location takes him far enough away from it that it's outside his range then he will reroute to the second location as long as that location is in his range. So falling, depending on how far he fell could cause him to reroute to the other marked locations if the original location is out of range.
At least thats how Iv come to know they work.

yeah, he came a bit late to the party. Me and some folks on FC started upgrading foci a long time before dire.
