Loving the new version, except for a slight nagging issue:
The following goes on until eventually the client just runs Out of Memory. Adjusting Memory Values seems to have no affect, right around 2800 packets lost, everything dead locks. This only happens client side, the server is running just fine.
I am running the newest patched version of Baubles. (That was also leaking memory) - seems good now. This is a dedicated server running Forge-1.7.2-10-12.2.1147.

I am pushing for a 1.7.10 release of my mod pack, Thaumcraft is such a huge attraction to my mates that I've let it hang back a bit. As well as a few other mods have not yet updated.
I hope theres a united push for a 1.8 updates as soon as Lex and Cpw, get Forge tuned up for it. Would be nice to see things "just working" like they did in 1.6.4, and (gasp - 1.4.7, 1.3.2, and 1.2.5) seems like 1.7.x has just been issues...
Somebody help me - it is impossible to conclude aura node in a jar, the game crash, even if I just click on the glass rod, the game is the crash what to do?
Azanor, could you add the “shift + left click items” function to the golem GUI?
every time draging item into the slot by mouse is boring.
thx.
I wish he'd add the "shift-left click items function" to the golems -- they really should be able to find existing piles of stuff in inventories. Even if it required one of the upgrades....

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.

Now it is my time, to share the goodies of knowledge, shared with me by others: you need MCforge 10.12.2.1147 on your 1.7.2 world, to do that. And dont even try to cook some netherbrick in infernal furnace, if that ver of MCforge not installed)
Great mod, really fantastic work. Regarding Taint, I unfortunately had to disable growth in the config which I really didn't want to do. The reason why is that there are several tainted areas and no Silverwood.
I understand Silverwood is rare but I created a copy of my world in creative mode, flew around for a very long time and confirmed there wasn't a single Silverwood anywhere ( I even flew around unexplored/new areas never finding one). Since I'm pretty far away from creating etheral bloom I felt I didn't have a choice but to disable it for now (I know if it's not loaded it won't spread, but my home was near a tainted area). I intend to re-add growth once I get further along.
SUGGESTION: I very highly suggest having taint not spreadable until a player has unlocked a way to contain it. Either they can create etheral blooms or have obtained a Silverwood sapling. Once either condition is met, taint growth starts. This would still have the challenge of containing taint without the stress & burden of dealing it with it early game. This also fits the theme of the mod, as the player has unlocked magic and the world is reacting to it.
Alternatively, growth can not start until they reach x part of the mod.

Just found out why is so laggy lately inside my little base...on the screenshot U can see an unstable node...well..not really see...but down there...on the obsidian is a node...node that make whole cave...its about few days ingame...(real days) of plaing and...wow.....
my question is simple....how to get rid of that node before it eat my whole world....em??...my base is about 40 bloks above it...;p

The answer is simple, as well: go Thaumcraft config, edit the stroke about dangeresness of nodes, (yes, you have to find it yourself))), after that simple come to that node, and break it with a pick.
Hmmm, if it is "unstable", not "hungry" - it is not that dangerous, isn't it?

If it's not in loaded chunks it won't spread. Additionally it takes ages (assuming default spread values in the config) to spread the taint. It spreads like wildfire within the biome itself, but spreading the biome takes quite a while.
Back in an old 1.6.4 world I accedently setup my home near taint and it never even reached my little shack. Unless you're literally right next to it you should have plenty of time to move away or find silverwood/shimmerleaf. If it's a large amount of taint I recommend you simply move away. Cleaning up a lot of taint takes a lot of time.
Regarding you're suggestion:
I'm not even sure that's possible. How would such a thing work on a server?

Due to my snarky and sarcastic personality I can easily be seen as a jerk. If I've offended you in any way it was likely unintended.
don't know what kind of node is it exactly...but..heh..one killed me once...I really don't want to "cheat" that way...config file is good way...and simple...also can put creative via NEI and destroy it...but yea...no fun...wondering is there any way to fix a node...or destroy without getin close to it...coz it suck everything around...many bats dies on my own eyes...(poor wingy-rats)...I don't want to cheat...i wan't dangerous nodes in my world...cuz its fun sometimes...but yea...need to get rid of that one for sure...

wel...i stand there for few minutes taking pictures...;p...and saw many blocks sucked...still...sucking everything around
Well, i always wonders - what if to expose excavation beam on hungry node from the distance? Somehow, i think, it could work.
Or you could set up some water setup around node, while it destroys water blocks (which are respawned, by vanilla mechanicks, you could feel yourself safe.)
Well... there is could be others solutions. Be inventive. Think out of the box. )

I unfortunately setup a home near it and I really really don't want to migrate...I like the neighborhood, there's some interesting features around...
As for the suggestion, good point about server versions. I was thinking exclusively of single player. I don't think my suggestion would work on a server. I just wish there was some kind of bulwark against lack of Silverwood trees....some conditional in the code or something, maybe a way in the mod to ensure they appear or something....

Thaumcraft is not 1.7.10 compatible (yet)
You need Minecraft 1.7.2 with forge 10.12.2.1147 (NOT the recommended build)

The following goes on until eventually the client just runs Out of Memory. Adjusting Memory Values seems to have no affect, right around 2800 packets lost, everything dead locks. This only happens client side, the server is running just fine.
I am running the newest patched version of Baubles. (That was also leaking memory) - seems good now. This is a dedicated server running Forge-1.7.2-10-12.2.1147.

I wish he'd add the "shift-left click items function" to the golems -- they really should be able to find existing piles of stuff in inventories. Even if it required one of the upgrades....
Now it is my time, to share the goodies of knowledge, shared with me by others: you need MCforge 10.12.2.1147 on your 1.7.2 world, to do that. And dont even try to cook some netherbrick in infernal furnace, if that ver of MCforge not installed)
1) Infusion enchanting doesn't work. I could bet, i seen answer for this up to thread, but cannot find it now.
2) Thaumic robes does not give viz discount now, if to craft silverwood thaumic-capped wand. Is it a bug, or just as planned?
3) Where are all my bloody angry zombies?!! I need BRAINZ!!!
Thank you very much!
How would such a thing work on a server?
wel...i stand there for few minutes taking pictures...;p...and saw many blocks sucked...still...sucking everything around
Not yet. From what I've heard the 1.7.10 version is still in the beta stage so It shouldn't be too much longer.
