I did some testing on your theory for larger rifts dropping them more. I made massive rifts by dumping 3 stacks of coal blocks into a crucible and shift right clicking it. Through just a couple rifts, I actually got a few Nodules. The bigger it is, the more Void Seeds and higher chance of a Primordial. However, I'm a bit afraid to do this in my survival world considering how much junk I had to dump. Maybe I'll just shove it someplace far away in the Nether. If that makes nodules, what insane amount of flux would make it viable for a full Primordial Pearl?
EDIT: Flux Rifts in the Nether actually spawn right at the lava. They can even find themselves in caves below the lava. Oh, and just 2 flux rifts collapsed in the Nether and I got my Pearl. Yay for Void Essentia Smeltery! I should also show off my base here soon, since it's been through a lot of different phases.
Not always, they don't. I have an alchemy base just under the top bedrock of the Nether, and I had a rift appear right in the middle of it. This was on a previous version, so I couldn't do anything about it.
No, don't nevermind! I'd like the answer to that question as well!
You need to scan a crimson cultist and read crimson rites.
Then you should get the eldrich research on the first page of the thaumonomicon.
It was somehow like this:
Crimson Cult --> Crimson Rites --> Eldrich <-- Auromancy
Researching that unlocks the Eldrich tab. No idea if you have to be mad for this. I have been quite mad, but now I doubt this was necessary at all.
Now that I think about it, most often I've seen the portals in deserts, near villages. Are you telling me they respawn?
The last two times I tried not to hit the actual portal, so that the cultists kept coming and I could get as much armor pieces as possible. At some point, the portal started to blink and then disappeared. Before the last cultist was dead. However, it could have been a mistake on my end. My sword has this AoE wind enchantment, so I might have hit the portal after all.
According to LexManos' twitter, the original release estimate was a few months.

I'd say by the time the next beta that introduces more Eldritch stuff, but then we hide the new stuff in spoiler tags, and keep the old already established Eldritch stuff free from spoilers.
I made an idea for an item in the form of an actual entry in the Thaumonomicon. I think I did it pretty good, but can't tell if I nailed the writing style (Because that's all Anazor's style of writing and not mine). This research will branch off from the Grappling Hook and also requires the research for Vis Batteries, the Arcane Levitator, and Vis Generators.
Stage 1/3
Sure grappling hooks are useful for getting around and reaching certain areas with ease, it's uses are only so practical and limited. A flying machine would be something that would prove extremely powerful and useful, but maybe a tad bit out of reach with my current knowledge. An attempt at this was made by slapping 2 Arcane Levitators onto a wooden plank and strapping it to my back. While I did indeed "fly", I was now suspended 10 blocks in the air with no good way to get down. I'll need a while to think about how I could extend my range of flight and control it. Nothing in this world seems to possess flight, and Blazes from the Nether are a completely different story. I've heard tales of a large dragon that live alongside the Endermen in their "home world". Perhaps their world holds the answer to flight?
>Discover a outlandish flying creature (Ender Dragon)
>Find an item that gives the ability to glide.
>2 Artiface Theories
Stage 2/3
Good news is that I found a portal to the Endermen's homeworld and was astounded by the dragon's presence. I also found an item called the Elytra, which allows me to travel in the air with extreme ease! Bad news is that the dragon is now dead, and I can't exactly study it without it attacking me. The Elytra also presents the problem of finite flight along with durability, causing you to fall out of the sky if the wings suddenly decide to give up. With these new discoveries, I'm going to experiment on a powerful new machine that will open the way to flight! It'll involve tinkering with already discovered items that hold similarities to flight and holding vis charges.
>Items: Vis Generator, Redstone Block, Vis Battery, Arcane Levitator, Elytra, Thaumium Plate
>2 Artiface Theories
Stage 3/3
I'm on the brink of a breakthrough, I just know it! Using the Vis Generators to draw vis from the aura while the Vis Batteries hold said charge, I can power a mechanicsm that uses the Elytra to mimic how the Ender Dragon uses it's own wings. Unfortunately, the Vis Batteries hold so little charge and this device can hold only 4. Alongside that, I seem to be depleting power faster than it charges, so it'll need time to recharge to at least half of its maximum vis storage. The Elytra, being used as the major part of the whole device, still has its durability issues and can even break apart the entire device. If not repaired with leather on a regular basis. If there was a more powerful metal out there I would be using it, but I suppose such a discovery will take its time to show.
>Some Infusion recipe with High Instability
Then you upgrade it with Void Metal! A Primordial Pearl will be enough to remove the need for Vis Batteries and hold a much bigger charge, while also depleting at a slower rate, but still enough to deplete more than it recharges. Fixing the durability issue on the Elytra requires a void metal outline so it won't break apart, so that's its own separate recipe. I think this balances out well because it takes up your chest slot and is unable to be enchanted (of course with all the ingredient needed for infusion), so you're giving up your most defensive armor piece for insane mobility.
This is something I came up with out of the blue and really loved putting out the idea in the form of a Thaumonomicon entry. It may be not 100% balanced, but I think I would love to see this in the base mod and not some addon. What do you all think?

Sounds amazing, I wonder what the mighty Ro'Naza thinks of this?

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
Sorry guys, but I don't understand what exactly I have to do to be able to collect some vitium. Opening rifts has made nothing at all. I remember from the Thaumcraft 5 there was like a corrupted biome (taint) where you could get this vitium.

The rift will eventually close, producing a Taint Seed, which will start tainting the surrounding area.
So, how do I unlock the eldrich tab? I was trying to do it the way it was in the previous versions, but it doesn't seem to work
I'm not sure I'm even gaining any more warp from eating brains or researching eldrich. My sanity meter looks like this:
edit: nevermind

Do we have any idea how to spawn/where to find cultists?
You can kill the portal. They are most definitely entites.
Is thaumcraft 6.1 compatible with 1.13 ?
Minecraft without Thaumcraft is like a pizza without cheese, tasteless !!!
Is there a Forge for 1.13 ?
According to LexManos' twitter, the original release estimate was a few months.
Well, my question was very silly at the moment ^^

If you read the Crimson Rites without warp, I believe, they are dismissed as mad ramblings.
Praise be Ro-naza, greatest among the thaumaturges!

Don't click this link, HE is haunting it...
I'd get rid of the requirement to see the dragon. You need to get past it to get the elytra anyway. And there are fliers in the OW. Bats and parrots.
You should post this here, I think: https://github.com/Azanor/thaumcraft-suggestions/issues
