Got to say I about gave up on TC6 coming out in my lifetime since Azanor had posted he was putting it on the back burner due to life things, but super stoked to have it sneak out while I was away playing other games. Was a great surprise, I only found when youtube recommended me a minecraft video featuring it. lol.

is there any config setting or anything to get golems to be able to be placed with mo' creatures 12.04? removing it works but i'd rather play with both if possible.
also, what do the growable crystals actually even do? do they work yet? i've had some planted and chunkloaded with no magic being done anywhere nearby for in excess of 48 hours and i've only seen any increase in the flux crystals, what causes more to grow? can they take over the 8 neighboring tiles? (if not why do they block placing directly above and below other crystals) are the flux ones for purifying or creating? is the flux released when they're broken?
Anyone can enlighten me on how the aura exactly works? I tried to place a tainted crystal cluster in my base thinking it will eventually grow, taking the flux from the aura and so getting rid of it, like it used to work, but it seems to have the opposite effect... concentrating flux in my base even more without any sign of growth (I lost almost all my roof to taint before I even realized).
I was also wondering... without the totems or some other way to forcibly move the vis around how am I supposed to grow other primal aspect crystals?
So a quick (kinda in depth) guide on the how tc6 aura works would be appreciated

I have added TC6 to my existing 1.12.2 world, and activated retrogen for everything via the config options to try and get stuff added to generated chunks but I am unable to find any vis crystals, I activated spectator mode and went through almost all of the caves beneath my base without finding anything. Do crystals take some time to grow and spread through retrogen or do I need to completely regen the chunk?
Backup your world first just in case you end up with 2x resources (crystals don't spawn in every cave, all the time)--try changing the regenKey inside the thaumcraft_world.cfg config file to something else than DEFAULT. You can also change oreDensity to higher than 100.

there be more gameplay changing betas or just bug fixing? im wating for the a release
Beta = not feature-complete, for example the end-game Eldritch stuff is still incomplete at the moment I believe. Also quite a few bugs with solutions that might change how things work or not. No planned date for a release but that's what you get with free contents.

Using Thaumcraft 6 beta 13, I was trying to do an Infusion Enchantment on a Pickaxe of the Core to get its Refining from level I to II. But when I tried to do it, it didn't seem to accept the Enchanted Book I used when it came time for it to be absorbed (it took the Salis Mundis but stopped after that, even though there was an enchanted book there), even though it let me start the process. I may have switched the specific book I was using mid-process, as it may have popped off/broken, but I'm wondering if there's a book with a particular enchantment you need to use, or if it needs to be the same exact enchantment throughout the process (even if you need to replace it), or if it's just bugged? (And I did have enough Essentia for it, until it didn't accept the book, it started to draw more, and I ran out.) Also, it wasn't full durability (since right clicking to put in the altar consumes durability for the Ore detection), but I wasn't under the impression that that should limit the process.
Also, it might be nice if you add Creative-only Enchanted Books with the Infusion Enchantments, so that we can add them onto items without having to go through the process, especially if there's an unavoidable bug like this that happens, so that we could apply it afterwards. I don't think they're able to be added via /enchant, but that could work as well, if you could figure out how to add them, and if they actually could be added with that system.
Edit: I did get it to work when I made a secondary setup with creative mode. Not sure what the issue would have been other than making the enchanted books changing and it getting confused.
Also, there is a visual bug of ghost items in the altars, even after destroyed/knocked off.

The only way I've seen taint decrease so far is by spawning taint seeds... ideally if you are fast enough to kill them before they start to spit taint in the chunk you'll see the taint decrease because to spawn them a sizable chunk of taint is subtracted from the aura while very little is thrown out by the seeds upon death... still not the safest way, I was planning to put on the roof of my base some automated crossbows to kill as fast as possible any taint seed upon spawn. Also is it just me or there is no way currently to harvest single crystals from the cluster, I tried the old golemancer's bell but nothing (even the cheat thaumonomicon doesn't show a way) I guess it's because it's still a work in progress.
My approach to taint now is: I put everything flux-generating in a separate building in it's own chunk, and put one of these automatic crossbows next to it. No taint has appeared there yet, so no idea if that works.

Does anyone have a working setup to pipe one type of essentia from a barely-full jar to a much fuller one? I'm not super good with pipes in this version apparently, in v5 I remember being able to do this but can't figure out how in v6... bleh All I want to do is recover some jars and wall space!

Jars with labels have more suction than ones without labels. Stick a label on the target jar and it should draw from the other jars. Might also need to make the target jar a void jar.
Directional tubes might also work, but the above is how I do it.

My approach to this was to just put a pipe and a filling essentia thingy onto one of the jar, and let the essentia flow over the air to the other one.
Is there a good way to taint an area in creative? I'm trying to make a floating island that is completely tainted for an experiment. If the island gets tainted, will it stay tainted or will it eventually even out?

I typically set it to something like regen-key-1, then increment the number if I have to do additional regens later.
