So, I've been playing this mod with Vivecraft (VR mod for minecraft) and it's been great except for one small annoyance: the "change focus" gui. It pops up in a non-interactable way on the HUD instead of appearing "in-world".
I talked with the Vivecraft devs on their discord, and they said this suggests that the "change focus" gui is just rendering something on the hud and unlocking the mouse, and isn't actually creating a screen for them to detect. Having next to no modding experience myself, I can't say how much sense this makes, but could you look into it?
Yeah, I realize as a VR player I'm probably in a vanishingly small minority here, but it sounds like it might be a relatively simple fix.

Yeah, that's not the issue. The issue from my undorstanding is that both the rendering and presumably the mouse tracking are completely thaumcraft custom so as far as minecraft and vivecraft are concerned it's just a pretty animation.

Pro tip: Do NOT leave your turrets in the open. Build them a pillbox of sort (8 slabs around + 9 blocks roof to cover), then it's RELATIVELY safe to hold the position.
Remember that turrets are entities.
On the upside: Checked everything I could check in creative without too much cheats.
What's left is Advanced Focus (infusion broken) and Eldritch stuff (nothing to start from in superflat).
What does "a normal projectile" mean? It appears in the basic auromancy tab and it is needed to complete a stage.
I already scanned arrows, fire charge, allumentum, but none of them seems to be the answer.
I had to get hit by lots of different projectiles for this to finally check off. Not sure which one did it... Blaze fire, Ghast fireball, Arrow, Splash Potion...

Open the Thaumcraft JAR in your mods/ directory with any capable ZIP archiver and inject the assets directory from my ZIP.
It contains fixed research keys for five problem research objectives. (Cheat the advanced focus to get past the auromancy infusion craft.)

Crashes your game and permanently corrupts the world, but in the coolest way possible.

That might be a bug then, as there are no other projectiles in the vanilla game as far as I'm aware.

And if that aint working, I would go with examine fire closely. After all, it used to be that once

Yes, it unlocks mouse. There's no other way to operate a radial menu.

I have the same issue. I tried tossing them into a crucible while wearing Goggles, but nothing happened.

Is there a way to reset a players research back to zero? I'm in a testing environment and it would help a lot.

Shoot an arrow, freeze time, scan arrow, unfreeze time.
Should work. Worked for me.

For anybody trying out focus crafting, try this one:
Projectile[Speed 5]
Arcane Mine[Non-Friendly]
Fire[Duration 5, Power 5]
If you are feeling adventurous, also try Bouncy. But it's less efficient in open space.
