you mean like thaumic horizons?
it had a wand focus that lets you capture creatures in warded jars, and then infuse them. one of my favourite mods. you could instill loyalty per infusion into any mob or modded mob in the game, and get it as companion.

I remember one of the trade-offs being that Instilled Loyalty overrode the mob's native AI in most cases. So a Creeper would follow you, but wouldn't explode (also couldn't attack, because no attack AI other than exploding). Zombies and Skeletons should still work, though.

I've got a question about Research-in-development for @Azanor:
Would it be possible to spawn in objects or world gen structures during the game? Like say if you are doing a research, Then at some point during or after its completion it spawns in a structure, And then gives you the coordinates to that location for you to go.
Could be a neat way of getting a reward or advancing certain ways, Making sure the player always have at least one world-gen structure they need to advance so they don't get locked out of content, Or don't have to travel across every nook and cranny to find what they require.
May even be used as history lessons, Or dungeons. Spawning the structures in once the player has advanced to a certain point, Or completed certain tasks as a Hard-Lock of content. ((Could be a, "You weren't magically sensitive enough before to notice it." Or, "you didn't need it before, but now that you do you've triangulated the most likely location of one." Situation.))

Say that one person has observed a wisp spawning, Another recorded their behavior, And a third how Vis fluctuation affect them. Then they all open their research on the same table and submit their findings, Allowing all of them to complete the research together, By pooling their results.

Currently, Azanor is updating Thaumcraft for 1.10.2. He has said that he will release a stable version for this MC one and later he will update for the lastest
this is good to hear. I've been trying to maintain a 1.10 mod pack and server but, without Thaumcraft, it just feels like something is... missing. Would you mind notifying me (either by PM or some other means) if/when he manages to finish? The presence of Thaumcraft is one of the primary reasons I'm still playing FTB infinity, with the other being Witchery
Sure, this is taking a long time, but by the time Thaumcraft 6 is out everyone will have forgotten how to play it, so you know, everyone gets to experience a fresh start so to speak.

i dont think azanor will update thaumcraft 5 or release thaumcraft 6 to the 1.11.2 mostly will for the 1.12.2 or 1.13.x
