What golem setup do you use for farming? Mine work perfectly with sugarcane, but have problems replanting other crops.
simple collect/harvest and store thing. it takes them a while to figure out there is a plant there sometimes, at first i thought they werent even doing anything, waited about half an hour and the little guy has gotten ~ half stacks of each thing ive planted

Do you have JEIAddons? For some reason this causes issues with the crafting of certain infusion items.

The natural crystals are a direct manifestation of vis. The grown crystals are modified seeds that are susceptible to vis crystallizing on them. They are not the same thing.
And if you want an explanation that makes sense with the mechanics: Artificial ones can be "plucked".
It's a bummer that one can't combine armors with the harness.
Exactly right. I always hate having to choose between the Fortress chestplate and the harness, because who doesn't want to look awesome in complete Fortress armor AND fly? Not to mention the lousy protection of the harness compared to the Fortress chestplate or the Void Thaumaturge Robe equivalent.
Edit: not to sound negative though. I really enjoy Thaumcraft 5 so far. Great work Azanor!
I hope someday there's more magic in Minecraft, though I know it's not likely to happen. In the meantime, I play modded a lot. I enjoy a lot of other games too, so don't expect me to be on the forums all the time.
The gap between 1.7.10 and 1.8 is widening and its sad since so many mods aren't moving forward. Has Azanor ever said anything about backporting TC5 to 1.7.10?

No he hasn't, to be honest I don't really mind that thaumcraft 5 is for 1.8, sure I would like to mess around with what I can automate with botania or something but Azanor is increasing the speed that mods will update to 1.8 as, eventually witchery is going to start moving forward after intangible is released, which could have another mod move forward, and another, until 1.8 is the standard for mods.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.

Is anyone using the essentia crystallizer? Does it seem really vis-hungry to you folks?
I just dropped one down next to a terra node and the terra vis in the same chunk was gone by the time I set my thaumometer to view terra vis levels, some twenty seconds later. I've got a dioptra set up and I can see the essentia crystallizer punching a giant hole in the local terra aura, and it hasn't even done a full stack yet.
Infinity? The vanilla enchant? It's a vanilla thing, not something added by thaumcraft... am i missing something?
When enchanted with Infinity, the [Bone] bow does not actually require an arrow to be kept in inventory. It will create and fire arrows even with no arrows in the inventory.
In the primal arrows section there's mention of this:
"the Infinity enchantment only has a one in three chance of not consuming the [primal] arrow."
not sure if you know this or not, but I think there is something wrong with the aerial essensia transfusion, causing my game to crash. Something about it is causing a hiccup in java, either that or the warded jars might be the issue, not entirely sure

I wouldn't use the crystallizer, to use them you would have to smelt it again which would mean more loss. Store extra as phials in a chest.

Tainted Shards are produced when crystal clusters of the normal primal aspects are in a chunk with a high level of vitium in the aura. After a seemingly random amount of time and the level of vitium remaining consistently high, the primal crystal clusters will turn into a purple, tainted crystal cluster which you can then mine for tainted shards.
