Hey Obsi, just got a crash trying to get a skin sample from a zombie pigman. Might want to fix that bug ASAP.
Specific error:
Description: Unexpected error
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Empty string not allowed. Apparently you left a blank where the name of the Zombie Pigman skin scales would be. Until this bug is fixed, I'm going to just use TMI to give myself the helix.

Edit: Nvm, got 1.9 now, shouldn't have a problem. Btw, how do you know what abilities you have(besides the ones where you press a key) when you inject the blood with the genes into yourself?

You have to be really close by, as in around the same distance that you can hit him with a sword.

Lol, I got sooo mad at the dragon and started to spam the right click with the scraper but still didn't get it...I tried the scraper with the endermen and it works... perhaps its not my luck...
I had no problem with the other genes (yet)... but I will inform when there is a bug or something...
oh and btw, great job on the mod... 1 of my best mod on minecraft... keep up the great work and keep on updating

what else do you put in the analyser? i put the ghast skin thingies in the analyser, and it didn't do anything.
Huh, I did and they worked. Make sure you have a combustion generator nearby with fuel in it( it accepts any fuel that a furnace will)

Still didn't get the ender dragon's skin scales...is there an easier way to get it? (I'm just asking )
I'm playing in survival mod btw
I've found a bug...when I returned from The End,all my genes that I have applied in my DNA are gone so
I need to collect all the skin scales back from the mob which takes a lot of time...luckily,I got TMI mod
so I can save the completed genes in the favourite tab
The bug seems to be intersting.... About the Enderdragon: The problem is that the Dragon is not one entity. So you can't rightclick him. This will be fixed in the next version (I am already working on it)

You lose all your genes as you die, but you can save the in a syringe before you blow up
PM me or ObsiLP. We'd like to know if it's a private or public modpack and where we can find it. There must be a link to this thread clearly visible when downloading the pack.
That't the first part, but I still whould not recommand using this in a pack. This mod is still inbeta!

Ok here is information about what i did.
1- I have minecraft 1.6.4 and forge 9.11.1.917
2- I put mods jar file on mods folder.
3- I didn't download API file. (tried to, have no idea what to do with it)
4- In my games creative tab,there is no genetics expect the anti-genetics.
5- Only have TMI installed and this mod.
I saw the loss of abilities via death first-hand and have to say, it is saddening, but now I'll keep multiple syringes with my abilities, so I can continue being epic. Btw, the iron golem ability should actually increase your max health instead of just adding hearts via absorption. This will be difficult, but I believe it can be done.

I've been looking for ages for a mod that adds some sort of genetic manipulation to the game, and this hit the spot!
