8 hours of work later and didn't run into any major issues - Zyin's HUD (1.7.2) v.1.1.1 is now available for download on the front page. The only problem was how the hotkeys changed and that's preventing me from making Quick Deposit work.
Please let me know of any bugs or crashes that you may experience with this new 1.7.2 version since a lot of code was changed. The best way to submit a bug report is to create a new Issue on my GitHub.

Can you maybe give a little more info about this, please? Ie. which feature of your mod enables it, how it works, etc. It's pretty much exactly the same thing I've been looking for. A configurable range player detector that triggers a redstone signal - without using pressure plates
In the mean time I'm thinking I'll dl your mod anyway. There's quite a few handy features.
-Fixed Quick Deposit so it works for 1.7.2
-Added ability to see if it can snow where you're standing by showing a snowball in the Info Line to the left of the Biome label
-Added missing "Offset X:" and "Offset Y:" text to options screen
-Moved the FPS label to the left of the Biome label
-Centered the compass text so it doesn't wiggle when you turn around
-Only shows a golden carrot above horses that are tamed
-Added option to de-prioritize raw (uncooked) food
For some reason every Zyins Hud control shows up double in my MC control menu...
And some options aren't working or just not doing anything when i press the button such as distance, deposit, etc.
Thanks for reporting the issue, for some reason that wasn't happening in my development environment so I never noticed it - it only happens after I release the mod as a .jar. It'll be fixed in the next release.
It's possible that they are related but I'd bet that they aren't since my quick deposit and distance measurer worked even though I saw 2 listings of the hotkey in the controls menu. As far as I know there are no compatibility issues with other mods unless you have the same hotkey being used for both mods, which could end up blocking mine from working correctly. Do you have any other mods installed that use the default K or X hotkeys (or whatever you set them to)? And have you tried to see if they work properly when no other mods are installed?

Hey, I really love this mod. The light overlay and animal info is the best! If you made an updated version for 1.7.5 that doesn't require forge that would be great, no pressure to.. just a suggestion. That would be so cool! Keep up the good work!
how can I enable Safe Overlay on my server? I can use it in singleplayer only.
If you are logging into a non-vanilla server, perhaps there is another mod which uses the same hotkey you have assigned to Safe Overlay? I can't think of anything else because it works on all the servers I go on. What is the IP of the server where it doesn't work?
