The 1.8 beta seems almost completely broken for me. None of the added models seem to appear with the new 1.8 skin format (disabling the layers doesn't seem to fix it, either). The menu works, but a few buttons aren't labled right (such as 3D hat layer being labled as "config.solidheadwear", and another named "config.compatibility"). Custom skin URLs also seem to do nothing. Sounds seem to work, though.
The new update fixes a couple of things, but for the most part, most of the mod is STILL broken for me. Parts still do not work, the solid headwear option does nothing, and the two buttons in the config tab still don't have the right names.
Custom skin URLs seems to work, and even loads HD skins.....almost. Had a bit of an issue where my other legs didn't appear when using an HD skin. Note the skin still uses the old 1.7 format for HD skins (I'm not sure a 1.8 skin format for higher resolution skins even exists with the new skin layers/asymmetrical arms and legs). As with the normal skins, parts don't work on HD skins for me, either.

Solid headwear seems to work fine for me, though might not work for hd skins. Fixing HD Skins arent really high on my priority list atm. Which parts dont work? -points at neat and clear bug list part-

For me:
Solid headwear does nothing, regardless of what skin I use.
None of the added parts do anything, again, regardless of HD skins or not.
HD skins seem to load, but the left legs/arms don't load, and are rendered on the lower section of the torso, and on the right arms/legs
Two buttons on the config menu aren't labled right. Two are labled "config.solidheadwear", and "config.compatibility".
Animations do not seem to work at all, and instead, just shift the point of view around.
Using other entities for your player model seems to work, but changing PoV is a bit wonky.
-Models are shifted upwards, while the view does not change. This affects ALL entities, including things like chests, armor stands, etc.
Back items don't seem to work.
Scaling body parts does not seem to do anything.
I've not tested the chat bubbles, seeing as how I can't seem to connect to any Minecraft servers with Forge installed.
Installed forge 1.7.10 with the auto installer, and put more player models 1.7.10 jar into my mods folder.
not sure what I did wrong, got this error report:

This mod is really useful, I share an account so changing skins is a hassle because we both have to agree on a skin before we change it, but this mod solves that problem pretty well!
You have two versions of MPM on one client. One of them is the 1.7.2 version, remove it and your problem should go away.

If you require aid with Custom NPC's give me a shout (In the thread, not PM's). I can read a bit of error reports, know most of the NPC workings (I'm attempting to work on scripting) and have been using it since its 1.0 version. Otherwise I'll help with any questions or problems I can.
Do you have any other mods installed? Try updating your forge version.
I do have a few, not a whole lot. None of them seem like they would really edit the player model, though.
Tested this with a clean profile, using latest version of 1.8 Forge, and this mod alone. The issues with body parts and back items are fixed, but everything else is exactly the same. I think the issue with parts was Optifine (strange, because it usually has not messed with this mod until 1.8).

Scaling, solidhead wear and 50% of the animations should work as well. What version of optifine were you using?

At first, a B6 for 1.8 didn't exist at the time I'd downloaded it (or I'd entirely missed it). But no, Optifine Ultra B6 does not show model parts or back items, either.

Well thats annoying, but Ill worry about that later

Did you perhaps turn the compatibility mode to yes?

Compatibility mode doesn't seem to do anything, either. All issues are still there, regardless of whether it's enabled or not.
Im aware :P. Will be fixed in the next release.
Do you have any other mods installed? Try updating your forge version.

Optifine Ultra 1.8.0 version B5.
Previous versions of 1.8 Optifine don't seem to work with Forge at all. Those just crash upon loading a world.
EDIT: Scaling, solid headwear, nor any of the animations would work for me, and I was just using Forge and MPM alone. Using Forge 1285 for 1.8.
ah, magic, thanks man.
Optifine B6 also doesnt work?
